Sword of Glutton Princess

Episode 36: The Girl in the Example

After the discussion, Mani was asked to look for the girl who might be hiding Garlock, as an example.

Me and Edda, if we walk around the city badly, we're afraid the army will find us.

You should ask Mani to leave for these kinds of research.

As long as I know where Garlock is hiding, I plan to go out there with Mani.

I can't move around badly, but I thought I'd better go out to negotiate with Garlock.

Garlock should also be afraid that his place will be exposed.

Even if you weren't a soldier, you're set to be on guard if you get in.

You should be able to trust me if I was in a position to be chased from the army.

There's a good chance Garlock doesn't know me and Edda are being chased from the military, but it looks like we have a collaborator, so we're getting some information from it, I'd like to think.

Mani took a gentle peek outside the bridge to make sure no one was there, and then looked back at us.

"I don't think I should go in and out of Dean's neighborhood too many times. So if you know where the girl is, if you find any other big info, you'll be back."

"Right. People in the army will be searching around here..."

"I'll definitely be back again, so don't let them catch you. And then... if that turns out to be the case to get away from them, but if you sneak up on me or something, I'll resent you for the rest of my life."

Mani swelled his cheeks deliberately and stared at me.

I'm kidding, but my eyes were serious.

"I'm sorry I took the liberty of trying to escape outside the city. It's okay, I promise I won't imitate anything like leaving a mani behind anymore."

Mani grinned, then narrowed his eyes a little.

"... Dean, you can't do something weird to Mr. Edda because you're alone all the time in the dark."

"Oh, you can't do that."

"We don't need to worry about that. I'm stronger. When this man gets weird, I'll hold him back and drop his finger."

Edda mouths pale.

... she could do it for real.

"So, if you can, stop the disposition that draws your tail to your activities as an adventurer..."

As Mani grinned, he waved small at us and ran.

A whole day went by.

By the time the sun set again and began to darken, Mani came back under the bridge.

"It's just that. Her stronghold turned out. It's not that far from here, so I don't think we need to be so vigilant about the military. Other than that, there are a few extra things I found out, but I think she's connected to Mr. Garlock after all. Looks like Mr. Garlock started showing up in the Glades after he escaped and went nocturnal, and he seems pretty oblivious to the geography here."

"Does the time coincide? It's just... who the hell is he?"

"Yeah...... I helped you out on the way, I don't think so. She originally looked like she wasn't a slum dweller, and it's very unlikely that someone else in red would turn the army against the enemy in good faith. I'm curious, but I'm sure it'll work out if you ask him."

"Right. So, what if we go to the kid soon? I want to keep moving in the middle of the night, and I can't take any more days."

Mani nodded.

I look back at Edda.

"I'm sorry, but Edda needs to wait here."

"Oh, I know"

The hair colours and costumes of the Narc tribe are too distinctive.

Besides, if you act in large numbers, that's all you stand out for.

I left under the bridge with Mani and followed Mani's guide to the city late at night.

"You didn't see any soldiers on the way, did you?

"Oh, I've never been over alert, but I didn't see you. If they're gonna look around, they're gonna want a bright spot."

Mani snorts at my words.

I was relieved for a moment.

If we're lucky enough to face each other in a place like this, it's all over at that point.

"How did you know where you were? Is there any chance he's moving?

"I tracked him down. She seemed pretty wary of touching people, but in the Glades, the range of drugs she was after was bad, and, as I explained earlier, she seemed to be neglectful of geography. Really, it was like I'd never been here before."

Speaking of which, it was about looking for food and medicine.

Maybe Garlock is injured.

If so, I may be a little anxious to see it as a force of war.

"I thought you might come out again at the same time as you had the sighting. Even in the same place, the layers of people who show up depending on time are different. If the girl had thought the same thing, she wouldn't have changed her range of activities or time dramatically in order not to spread any information about herself"

"I see..."

Neither did I want to go a long way from under the bridge in the current situation, and I wanted to make that time slot as constant as possible if I were to go outside.

"As a result, I got that idea. Look, here it is."

Mani stopped in front of the building door.

It was an old house, about to collapse.

It's like ruins to see.

Sure, if we were here, it wouldn't be weird to hit that no one lived there and choose it as a hiding place.

Me and Mani walked right into the house.

I explored my surroundings in Odd Sensing/Bottom as I walked around killing the sound inside.

There were two signs, a hit.

"In the back, people are hiding. It's like there's two of us."

I told Mani that by lurking my voice.

"Hey, Dean. We're moving as quietly as we can, but that could be turning them down and alerting them. Shouldn't it be time to call it in?

"That too, right. I thought it would be more complicated that way if they noticed and got away with it, but it would be better if they just revealed who they are..."

At that time, a crack in the signs I had captured in Odd Sensing/Bottom moved slightly.

It's coming this way.

I stepped out in front of the mani and hung my hand on the pattern of the Devil's Sword Belzella.

A big shadow popped up and waved down a magic sword at me.

I prevented it with the Devil's Sword Berzera, but it's too heavy.

He cured his arms and legs with "stiffness," but was still overwhelmed and bounced backwards.

I almost poked my butt on the floor, but I managed to flip myself over and hold it.

"Mr. Garlock, it's me."

I sidestepped and exposed the Demon Eater Sword Belzella, which I had just rebuilt.

"Why are you guys here...?

A familiar blonde with a scar that ran big on her face.

The man who attacked me was still Garlock.
