Sword of the Philosopher

Presence to protect artifacts

"Hmm, have you reached the back?"

The Wrights agreed to Gilbert's words. They think we're stronger up there, and they're not saying anything, but they're going to follow this move.

That would definitely be if you looked back at the earlier battle. Maybe I broke up with Alto and the level stays the same. Even if that strength can handle the demons outside, it's natural to burn your hands at the green golems you encounter inside the ruins.

While I think about it, Gilbert continues.

"So, there's a golem at the bottom that looks mighty, and you mean you tried to turn it back once"

"It seemed like we wouldn't be able to deal with it."

Wrights says. Then Gilbert shrugged his shoulder.

"Even if there's a risk, isn't it treasure hunters on their way here?

"If you missee the trigger, you die instantly, so I've never gone beyond caution. In fact, he didn't live with such recklessness."

"I see, indeed...... so, Mr. Luon. What do we do?"

"I don't care which one we are."

"Hmm, right..."

Gilbert answers after much thought.

"Golem opponents can also escape if they work together... let's move on. How are things with Mr. Wrights?

"I'll follow you. That's going to improve your chances of survival."

That's why we started exploring the building again. Along the way, Gilbert talks to the Wrights about the distribution of treasure… moving on.

They don't have that many enemies, and you can't see them walking around that much. The trap also seems to be unexpected, and the exploration itself proceeds with ease… On the way to the back, you can get quite a few accessories and so on from the small room you find more than once. I don't need it at all as far as I'm concerned, though, because it's not as effective as it used to be on the game. Let's push them when it's time to dispense.

After how many times in the small room, I encountered a green golem. Later, the more frequently we encountered each other, but because all of them were alone, the collaboration allowed us to defeat them intact.

So far so good for the first time...... the question that remains is the demon that protects the artifact. According to the Wrights, it's a golem, but is it a demon you've seen?

Eventually, I'm about to reach the bottom. Here Gilbert made a confirmation to Wrights.

"They say the deepest part is the golem, but you know what it looks like?

"Oh, I'm fine"

Wrights answers and starts explaining.

"It looked golemy, but the color was gray. And the size is smaller than the green we've been fighting for… At first I thought it was just a low-level golem, but when we got closer, we intuited that the atmosphere was a little different, and we turned back."

... that explanation alone clearly showed me what was waiting for me. Definitely a 'soldier golem'.

There are quite a few cases in which the strength of demons is gradual by color, starting with goblins and golems, but there are also subspecies. One of them is the presence created by angels, Wrights' talking soldier golem, which emerges as a miscellaneous fish enemy when visiting the ruins of angels after the middle.

But here it seems to be a preservation of the artifact… There was certainly a setting that the ruins of angels change the type of demons that emerge depending on the amount of magic that exists around them. Demons gain more magic when they invade even more than they do now. As a result, there will be more powerful demons in the second half, even in the ruins of the same angel... if we leave this place alone too, sooner or later the Green Golem might have become the Soldier Golem.

And there's a miscellaneous fish coming out in the middle, boss... there was a case of a demon coming out as a miscellaneous fish in the future among the ruins of an angel, so it would be. But it's a pain in the ass if the other guy is that golem.

As things stand, Sophia and Gilbert are also stronger as they continue to fight the Golem. The Wrights seem to grow slower than the two of them, but they are still capable and able to collaborate because they are involved in alto as NPCs... but what if it's a soldier golem? Because the defense is quite high, it can be assumed that attacks are rarely common.

You should advise me on this... I opened my mouth.

"Protect the artifact, that's a special golem... it would be separate from the green you've been encountering. Maybe we should change the way we fight."

It was Sophia who reacted to this statement as quickly as possible.

"How do you fight...? But how..."

"Its strength will be more than ever than it is a golem that protects the artifact. I think working together to attack is just as good as before, but it might be bad if we don't enhance the attack surface more"

"Then Mr. Sophia should be at the center of the attack."

Gilbert follows my suggestion.

"Mr. Sophia has more variations in his methods of warfare. You've got a lot of hands to hit."

"But with a golem opponent who might be stronger than green, you don't know if it's going to be a decision."

"Then it's my turn."

It was Raifin's voice. At this point, Gilbert and the others are not surprised by her voice because she has explained Silf, but everyone frowns at what she has told them.

"Turn up?"

It was Gilbert who asked back. Then a raifin appears near Sophia.

"Take full advantage of my abilities and you can use powerful moves"

"Ho, is that true?

When Sophia listens back, Raifin is the boss.

"However, when used by Mr. Sophia today, it drains him considerably… because it consumes a lot of magic. So it can be used a lot of times, maybe twice."

"Twice...... I don't know if I can take it down with that, but it looks like I'll have to do it"

The Wrights nodded small at Sophia's words. Gilbert also tells them he intends to support them or "please" them.

Hmm, I guess that means you can use more powerful magic or moves than the Sylph Queen tells you about the favor you signed with her. I recall the wind magic and moves that existed on the game... considering Sophia's level, is it an intermediate class move?

Whatever moves you make, I'll put you in the follow up when it's in danger, and I'll let you do it.

"Okay. Then let's follow Raefin's words... Sophia, okay?

"Absolutely."

I accept her. Now, what happens from here... we start walking to the bottom of the Golem.

Eventually what I see at the end of the aisle is a space that clearly feels different in magic from where it has been before. I can tell that's the most special space just by exploring the signs.

Plus I saw a whole gray golem from the aisle. Yeah, it's definitely a soldier golem.

"Everybody ready?

Gilbert asks. Sophia uses the magic of sword-strengthening. In addition, the Wrights put up their swords and enter the battlefield.

Meanwhile, I look around... there have been no traps so far, and I don't think there's a trick because the Wrights have turned back... but we'll still have to be on guard and stuff.

At the same time, he begins to observe every step of every other face. Exactly, dying in front of me is also a bad wake-up call, so I'll be able to follow you as soon as it's dangerous... eventually when I got into the deepest room with Gilbert at the head, the Soldier Golem moved.

"Coming!

At the same time as his words, the Golem shows his strength. Competently a definitely struggling opponent. I don't know how common the moves Raefin says work... but I just have to do it.

At the same time as I thought, Sophia rushes out. Then Gilbert continued - starting the fight.
