Sword of the Philosopher

New Encounters

The next day Sophia and I will begin our journey to sign with the Spirit Gnome.

Trends in the main characters of the game are proceeding as well as in the scenario so far... In addition to the main scenario, various events await the main characters in the future. Nevertheless, the main scenario for each character is the destruction of the Five Demons and the Demon King. We will need to see if we encounter the kind of events that challenge the Five Demons.

The most important thing is who will be the first to challenge the Five Demons. If you knock him down with the flow as it is, the person will be at the center of the scenario… in other words, it will definitely be in the position of protagonist on this continent that has become the real world. What should I do when that's decided... I need to think hard from now on.

Also, there was a problem with my signs in the battle at the ruins... I also talked to Raifin, but they can't solve the "something" I emit even with the artifacts I got. I tried it on but it didn't work. Guess it can't be covered by the force of the artifact because it's probably shaken out of status.

Raefin also said he would think about this... but she used the wind with the Spirit to sense the signs, and she was so presumptuous when she saw me at first sight that she was quite strong. For one thing, I came to the conclusion that it is unlikely that my strength would be passed on to the Demon King or anything else unless I put out all my might in a place like where the Demons are. Nevertheless, measures need to be taken around here as well.

While I put that together in my head - I give Sophia magical instruction on the road.

"Then start describing 'Birdsoa'"

"Yes."

Nodding her. I find that she is a strange face and takes care not to miss out on every word I say.

- What I'm going to teach you now is magic that has the effect of increasing the speed of movement during combat. Magic that is only subject to itself, and yet quite dangerous.

I had no problem with this magic, on the game, but thanks for letting me strain something like a film of wind around my body, which is powerful enough to blow me away when I touch people. It's so hard to handle it inside that you won't be able to touch anything other than what you're wearing. Hence, there are not so many people who use it the way I do.

"First of all, the way I teach magic is only if I use it as a means of travel. Be careful, it's not the same way you operate when you encounter demons."

"Okay."

So start training...... just one problem. When I developed this method, I dramatically increased the speed of movement... but there were cases where I accidentally crashed the operation into a tree or something.

So be careful with the controls...... here's the miscalculation.

"... su, sorry"

Activate the magic for roughly two minutes. She did her best.

"Yes, it was so hard to maintain..."

... This magic is not so magical in itself, but it seems different when it comes to constantly instilling and maintaining magic in it. Sometimes even attack magic continues to release magic when it comes to at least matching the target... It may be difficult for her to handle and maintain because attack magic is not the same as magic.

In my case, when I started using this magic, it was already at a level where I could master advanced magic and so on, so it wasn't that hard to maintain... but it seems to be a heavy load for Sofia right now.

Hmm, I didn't expect to hit these problems... magic itself would increase if it continued to use magic - at least it did in the game. So we have to let them use magic on an ongoing basis and work out.

I just need to think a little bit that it won't be available soon... if I get into an emergency, do I have to figure out why I can act alone?

Sophia uses even more magic while she has a lot on her mind. Seems to check his behavior for now, keeping the wind together and moving around his body.

Apparently, the power of movement varies considerably depending on the output, and Sophia's. That's slower than mine. That speed, though, is faster than a horse would run, and even at this stage, if used properly, it would serve as well as I do.

She's just struggling with herself, taking the time to manipulate it.

"Wah...!

Sophia manipulates magic as she raises her voice...... give her a break.

"Hey, Sophia. Take a break..."

When I said that, her body suddenly floated. They're probably in the surrounding wind and their own magic, and the controls have stopped working altogether.

Oops, this is not good...... Sophia's body rises and flies over here softly. Immediately after that, the magic disappeared, but she wouldn't stop. It is not screaming, but it will remain an inner consternation.

I need to stop this... I move while I think about it. In the meantime, I use the magic of the storm to neutralize her movements and take her body...... that was the maneuver.

Activates magic and produces wind. Then her movement becomes visible and slow, capturing her body directly in front of her.

And I hugged her.

"Are you all right?

The queried arrow tip, Sophia was surprised with her eyes rounded and her face reddened just a little more.

"Are you hurt?

"Oh, there isn't."

Down to the ground, she steps back incredibly handsome. Not that I don't like it... but is it just as embarrassing as when I carried it after the battle in the ruins?

Does that have anything to do with the part about what you think of me around there... No, let's not think about it. Somehow, you see, they're princesses, even when they're squires.

"Heh, because I'm fine. Don't worry."

"... oh"

I just nodded at Sophia's words and then said "let's move on" and walked out.

"As for magic, we need a little more tweaking."

"Yes, sir"

She walks and nods beside her...... well the event is going slower than I assumed too, so there will be time for her to practice.

I thought like that...... you regret losing control, she looks rude. I laugh unwittingly at him like that.

Sophia, take your time.

"I know...... sorry"

While having a conversation...... continue down the street and eventually arrive in the lodging town. A town along a street that has never shown up on the game.

"I have to decide on an inn first."

The time is in the evening, so we don't have much time. We have to be quick.

I thought so, arrow tip, one person is different. Trying to get past Sophia.

"Waited."

Calling it off, I grabbed the other guy's right wrist.

"Huh!"

The opponent groaned briefly...... I can't see his face in a hooded brown coat, but from his physique and groaning, he would be a woman.

"Master Luon?

Ask him wondering what Sophia is doing. Immediately thereafter,

Something fell off the back of the right wrist of the person I'm holding.

"... Huh?

Sophia speaks out. That is an indisputable consternation.

- It was a leather looking, simple Sofia purse that I had traveled to and seen many times.

"It's a pickpocket."

When I tell you the truth, I use my strength to attract them.

"Yes, it hurts!

Summoning opponent. Nevertheless, I hold my wrist relentlessly, checking my face.

She was a woman, as expected. Dull brown hair, sunburned face. I think it would be pretty if I polished it.

And I'm heartily stunned right after checking the other person's face... could she be a companion character?

"Ha, get off me!

A woman speaking up. But I tell her not to change the strength of my hand.

"In the meantime, if I'm gonna give her my fallen purse back properly, I'm gonna let her go"

"Wow, I know!

Get your hands off me. I did so because I was confident that I could chase them off even if I ran away, but the opponent doesn't even show a bare gesture of escape. I'm sure you felt this power and thought it was impossible.

Shortly afterwards the hood will only reveal its face... so I'm sure.

She is one of the characters to be one of us, Call-Buffy.

As you can see from where she worked Suri, she is a bandit-based character with the skills to steal. There are three of these characters in all, but they are the first of them to be companions.

What's more, I can keep her company. When I do an event, another fellow character comes out. If you don't think you need to be one of them because it's a sub-event, you can go through it, but the event itself is an event you can earn there, so even if you don't need to be one of them, it can happen deliberately.

So, it's her ability at heart... but clearly, she's weak. In addition to the fact that weapons that can be equipped are light objects such as daggers, nothing stands out with skills other than stealing.

The dodging rate is there because the key stats are also agile... when the game was balanced that it would be less damaging to push forward than to dodge enemy attacks, so clearly none of us had an unlimited use of that advantage.

Sometimes it was an affair in terms of the system...... stealing skills is an advantage, but a little from the time she became one, she would show up with stealing skill holders with better abilities than her, so she wouldn't keep using them until the end...... hey, I'm starting to feel kind of pathetic.

"Oh, I'm sorry..."

In a tense manner, Caln returns his wallet to Sophia. She only answers "Hi" and accepts her wallet in such a way that she doesn't know what it is.

"Mi, can you miss...?

And she asks me a favor. Sounds kind of pathetic... but um, well, he's a character to be one of us...

If you think that way, there's one man approaching us. Corner pruning person in uncolored leather armor. He's definitely one of Carn's people.

"Hey, Caln."

to her voice. Once she shook her shoulder in dismay, she turns her gaze.

"Ah, Nog......"

"You did it, didn't you?

Caln solidifies. Well, it's true that in the game...

"Oh, I'm sorry. The..."

"You mean you've got a bad habit... sorry for your trip"

An apologetic man. Then Sophia came out in front of me,

"I'm glad the wallet itself wasn't stolen..."

"I'm really, really sorry"

Nog apologizes again.

"Originally, we were running a bandit operation… but now we're revamping, working with soldiers around us to defeat demons"

"Is it like a caution stick?

"Yeah... just because I'm a person of that nature"

To say that much, I press Caln's head grizzly with my hand.

"I mean, some guys have these bad habits. This guy tries to reconfirm Suri's technique, and I'm going to do this with the intention of returning it immediately... but the fact that he stole it doesn't change. You can't complain if they take you to the jail."

"... Hmm, is that right"

Sophia has a strange face. Um, this could be a hassle. Because the current conversation remained almost the first event on the game about Callan.

The place where the event took place was a completely different place, but in a strange lodging town, I hear we flagged the event.

I don't know what to do with this.

"No, because it's okay"

"Really... Karn, let's go"

"Yeah."

I pull her off my shoulder, and Nog leaves. For now, it feels like nothing happened and the conversation is over... but after this on the game, an event occurs elsewhere.

If you run into it, you have to figure out what to do. I can complete the event and say, "Work with the demons and the people who fight the demon kings to do it," but if you ignore it, you may no longer work with people like that.

I care about the neighborhood while searching for an inn. Find two empty rooms and go into the diner to have dinner for now.

After finishing the order, we had no conversation and were silent for a while. I don't know if it was too soon. A lot less people...... Eventually, the food came.

"Yes, wait"

My aunt brings the food. I tried to start eating fast, but my aunt talked to me about it for some reason.

"You two, you're on a journey, right? Weren't you attacked by bandits?

Wow, come on. This statement, definitely the one that triggers the event.

"Bandits?"

Sophia listening back. Then the aunt nodded deeply,

"That's right. There are noisy stories of demon kings showing up, but bandits are doing a lot of bad things around here. There's even a fort, and it hits merchants from time to time... it's annoying."

"Is that... maybe we're talking about people with caution sticks?

"Oh, maybe you met them? No, that's it. They deny they're not, but there's someone in the bandits who was on the baton."

A man who was mistaken for a leader on the baton side should have been a bandit. He also roughs up the neighborhood with vengeance and blames it on the caution stick...... that must have been the story.

"Okay. Thank you."

Sophia thanked her and her aunt left the place...... so Sophia said a word.

"If you don't mind, why don't you look into it?

Well, naturally, that's the story. The other guys are the bandits, and even with her, I can't help but care.

I just can't say "troublesome and let's not". Plus, if you tap and break the buddy flag here, it's possible that the Carns won't be on the front with the Demon King.

I conclude that they could be human beings who would fight the Demon King... and have no choice but to do more than get involved,

"... ok. Let's investigate tomorrow."

"Yes."

- That's why we're going to embark on an investigation.
