Sword of the Philosopher
Underground surveys
We got the information, so we're going to have an operation meeting in the inn. The place is me and Alto, and Ignos sleeps in the men's room. The women sit in their chairs and we sit back in bed and start talking relaxed.
"... I got the information and had doubts"
It was Sophia who cut the fire.
"The Demons seem to be more of an executive class than they have up to their castle, but from the information I've heard, they look a lot more cautious. Besides... some of the executives had destroyed the country, but this time the Demons were static until the Crusaders moved. What the hell is this?"
"- In addition to having other purposes, it could be weakening."
I speak. Then the other members turn their gaze here.
"I'm pretty sure it's an executive class. But even if we think about creating demons that we can deal with somehow, or trying to keep humans away because we can't use the junction, maybe we're doing something to weaken them."
"Oh, then I have one opinion from you"
Caln raises his hand small.
"The gnome I contracted began to tell me that as I approached the Demonic castle, things were strange on the earth."
"Then there seems to be no doubt that you are planting something"
Huh, I wondered if Norm and Sophia, who contracted with Caln, were keeping their mouths shut... but should I ask around it at the time of the investigation?
"Dear Luon,"
That's where Sophia gives her opinion.
"Rocto wants to talk to you."
"Okay."
A loct emerges that contracts Sofia at the same time as the snort. Speak up.
"- As we approach our castle, the quality of magic that sleeps on the earth is changing. This is probably because a demon clan named Ledras is infusing with magic. Therefore, it is likely that your strength is weakened because you are focusing on it."
"... to the earth? Doesn't that suck?
Alto asks. Then Roct nodded.
"The magic of the demons has eroded the earth... it must be a bad thing"
"Either way, if you say no to the ex, it's not a solution?
Stella asks. She's apparently willing to fight. Much more belligerent.
"From here on out, we should leave it to each judgment"
Now I'll open my mouth.
"Mr. Stella seems willing to fight... but Mr. Alto and Mr. Ignos consult each other. I'll discuss it with Sophia and Caln, too."
"What about Master Luon?
Sophia asks. I looked back at her,
"... if it's possible, I think we should go to the castle."
"Then I'll accompany you"
It was instant. Then Alto nodded in tune to Sophia,
"... well, we're talking about the possibility that humans can do something about the Demons. If there's no one else to go to at the moment, I'm going to try just to do it. And..."
and Alto looked into his own palm.
"I have to do it...... that's how I think somewhere in my heart"
- Maybe that's what the sage's blood muscles are letting him make.
"... To be honest, I don't know if I can defeat a guy named Ledras"
says Alto. Focus your gaze on him, everyone, including me.
"But if it's a chance... let's just do what we do"
- Apparently, we were able to pull back to Ledras. We are ready to head to the castle of the five great demons. And if we keep this up, Alto will be the future to stand around as the main character... and we need to see it through.
"Start acting tomorrow...... So, okay?
Alto confirms. We nodded together and were supposed to rest today.
Late that night, I leave the inn alone to act single. Success in getting out without anyone finding you for one second. Outside, Raifin and Loct were waiting.
"I made you wait."
Okay, let's go.
"Oh...... just one before that. Loct, are you talking to Norm, who's under contract to Caln?
"To some extent. I just didn't tell you about Mr. Leon, and I'm going to do this investigation."
"Copy that... then show me around"
Begin action. Use 'Bird Soar' at the town entrance to the aisle used by the gnome that Loct talks about to move.
As for time, is it roughly fifteen minutes using magic? On foot it is a place of distance, but with magic I could reach it without so much effort.
"Right here."
That's a small high mountain shoreline. There was such a small hole that it was inconspicuous.
It's a little narrow for humans to go through. Though, I think I'm going to get inside.
"Through the entrance it will be large enough for even humans to walk around"
"Okay. Then let's go in."
Say, create a light and enter the narrow entrance. After a few moments I went out into the large hall. A space where only rock skin exists. There's a passage in the front, and I'm not lost getting in there. It's a gentle downhill, understandably pushing it underground.
"Road, doesn't necessarily mean it's safe"
Loct speaks out here.
"Especially since this place forms a path along a cliff that should also be called an underground rift"
You're talking about being careful not to fall.
Through the aisle. The first thing I saw was a fall-proof iron fence. On the right is a passage formed by scraping the walls, etc. And directly across the fence was a cliff, with a terribly vast underground world spreading darkness below.
I'll try to illuminate the bottom with the light, but I can't capture the whole picture at all. There was a huge space here that was completely unimaginable from the ground.
"Well, I'll show you around."
Loct says. I nod and walk out the aisle with him in the lead.
Every time I walk, my footsteps sound a lot louder. I have a fence so I don't have to worry about falling unless I have too much time... but I heard something like a groan from down there. I thought it was the wind or something at first, but they're very different.
Demons, right?
Loct speaks. At the same time we reached a point where the road was second-hand divided.
On the one hand, as before, the path along the wall. And the other way is a path made by creeping through the walls. Of those two, Rocto pointed to the creeped path.
"If you go this way, you can go further down"
"This way if you want to look into it?
"That's what happens. But apparently there's a demon."
"... Hi, it looks different than a normal demon"
Raefin speaks out. Turning her gaze, she was looking at the dark spreading underground.
"It's not like the demons created by the demons... but it's not like the demons that exist on the continent, either. What the hell is this?"
"Probably a demon born of the magic of the Five Demons."
I'll open my mouth. The earliest response to that was Loct.
"Born as a result of instilling magic?
"In the story, when the Demon King unleashed mighty magic and collapsed the continent, a large number of demons appeared with it. Born of the magic of the devil clan and the magic of the earth... it is a demon with the stature of a boy, according to man. I guess the name was' Darkdoll 'for sure."
He must have looked, like a black kid ghost demon. In fact, if each of the five protagonists defeats the Five Demons, the demons will start to appear all over the continent. Just the protagonists are demons for events that don't fight directly, and most guys are only strong enough to defeat even lined warriors. But because of the massive emergence on the collapsed continent, humans are forced to fight the 'Dark Doll' after the continent collapses, causing considerable damage.
And this demonic being didn't even grasp the Demon King... a secondary thing born as a result of plotting measures to activate the magic. He won't show up on earth unless the Demon King activates it, but he was there when the Five Demons instilled their magic.
"... defeating them shouldn't affect the battle against the Demons. When investigating, they get in the way. I guess I'll have to fight. Well, I'm not that strong, and I'll take care of it."
"Okay...... let's move on"
Loct says. I snorted and just in case I pulled out my sword... and started walking down to the ground.
