Sword of the Philosopher

Next Objective

The magic of the wise man, owned by Ledras, has gone into Sophia, who is not the protagonist of the game. Therefore, the existence of a demon king is called Sophia.

I was in a hurry at first, but I can also say that this was good to make the story easier to understand in a way. I mean, all you have to do is work out Sophia thoroughly.

Also, would it be just a lot riskier for me and Sophia to challenge the other five demons alone, and would it be necessary to add a buddy... and the thing that bothers me the most is the trends of the other protagonists.

There is no denying the possibility that the protagonists other than Alto will head to the castle of the Five Demons... hence in the future we must switch to a policy that prevents the protagonists from defeating the Five Demons one by one.

There are two streams of the Demon King's Crusade. One is the pattern in which one of the protagonists defeats all five demons. This makes one of the powers of the wise men that had been taken by the Demon Nation, and prevents the mighty magic of the Demon King that would crumble the continent.

The other is a pattern in which each protagonist defeats the five great demons. This was originally a hidden scenario, and the main characters in the game can't be buddies with other protagonists, but it's this scenario that can do it. One possesses the power of a wise man at a time... but this scenario prevents the mighty magic of the Demon King.

Thus the continent is devastated...... and that is not all. The power of the Demon King is strengthened, as is the power of the kingdom. As a result, non-sage blood muscle attacks hardly work. In other words, it becomes impossible to push the grip in the event of a distress.

I also don't think about what to do if I move on to this scenario, I should be able to discuss the Demon King... but I don't have the help to prevent the mighty magic, so I want to avoid it somehow. Hence, in the future, we need to stop or accompany the protagonists before they can observe their trends and go to the battle of the Five Demons to put the power of the wise into Sofia.

Alto doesn't know how he'll move in the future, but this is how I knew him, so it would be easy to accompany him. I can handle Fili, too. But that's not the case with Eina. Since the current situation is not such that the knights can fight back, the Kings are in a bad situation when Sofia's presence leaks at this stage... Well, should we think about this area depending on the timing of challenging the Five Demons? Let's see and think about the situation when Eina challenges us.

"Well, then we're going back to town."

Alto says. Everyone nodded small, and I asked him.

"Alto, what are you going to do now?

"... what about you?

"I have to do a lot of things. What if... focus on it for the moment"

View Sofia. She nods back small. He seems to be aware of further training.

"I... right, I'm concerned about the situation in this country, and I guess I'll be working a lot here for the time being. Oh, speaking of which, there must have been ruins in this country, too."

"Then I'll go out with you."

Stella says. Then Alto agreed, "Okay," and nodded whether Ignos would also agree.

... Could Stella have had the power of a wise man? Hmm, if you're going to engage with the protagonists to fight the Five Demons in the future, it's not a good idea on what basis to take in the power of the wise.

Looking back at the Battle of Ledras and thinking about why Sophia had magic... Todome was almost simultaneous but Sophia was one step slower. Is there any other possible difference in level or ability? But I think it's similar or closer... No, I was guessing Sophia would be a little bit better before I fought.

Is it around there that matters...... hmm not zero possibility of complete randomness either. There will be no other way to deal with this by crushing all possible possibilities.

With that in mind, we're heading into town. I never saw the demons... my buddies' footsteps were light, though fatigue accumulated.

It was only at night that I returned to the nearby town. I decided to take some time off that day, the next day. Once again, we were relieved when we gathered information and heard that the demonic threat was much easier.

That day will also mean rest, and me and Sophia will discuss the future while we eat. I've been traveling to be stronger, but I need to work harder in the future.

"Here, I'm going to make a policy"

I'll open my mouth. Then Sophia tilted her little neck.

"Policy, is it?

"Oh. Sophia is currently mastering both sword moves and magic, but I think we should focus on one. We'll both do the same thing, because we're likely to fail without either."

"I see...... ok"

"So, which do you want Sophia to focus on, sword moves or magic?

I can guess what you want to do...... somewhat between, Sophia replied.

"It's a sword."

"Okay, then your next destination is Garnise. It is obvious that the Demon Clan was weakened this time... so you should not think that you can defeat the other Demons in the same way. There is one measure. If you want a sword, you'll acquire more skill than you do now"

"Yes."

She snorts - Garnise is the only city on the continent with a fighting field. In the early days of game development, they had some ideas about fighting competitions and such, but they were bothered by the fact that there would be no time to do that even though there would be demon king invasions. Therefore, there are events such as peer membership or character enhancement events, but none of the events are related to the arena.

But there are some enhancement events that you can't fool around with... if you want to reinforce your sword moves, it's a great place.

And the place where the town is located is in the south of the continent… to get closer to the residence of Undine, you can also go there after performing an enhancement event. Two birds a stone.

"So, okay?

"Yes, I understand"

Sophia responding again. I've also come to the conclusion - here's one problem.

"What about Caln?

"- Did you call?

Caln's voice from behind. When you see her, the way she assembles her arms.

"Oh, just fine"

"You were talking about the future, weren't you? I want to tell you something too."

That's what she said, she starts talking with a strange look on her face.

"I'm breaking up with you two here. I've already prepared, and I'm leaving the inn today. Well, it was originally forced to accompany me..."

Caln said it himself. There seems to be something I think, and she goes on even further.

"The battle of that castle...... I was a complete leg man. I've stuck with you two so far, but I can't take any more care of you than I've ended up with some impudent consequences tomorrow."

... I see. You mean the conclusion after the battle with Ledras?

"Fortunately, this country has a bit of athe. So I'm going to break up with you two here."

"Mr. Caln......"

When Sophia calls her name, she smiles.

"If you get stronger and come home, will you travel with me again?

"... depends on how strong you are"

When I said it, Caln had a belligerent grin as soon as possible.

"Then watch."

I'm looking forward to it.

Nodding at these words, she walks away. After I dropped it off, I shrugged.

"... Sophia's predictions might come true."

"Fight the Demons, is that a prediction?"

"Seems like we've had a lot going on in this battle... and we're going to fight the Demons with a strong will"

"Perhaps."

Agreed Sophia - speaking of which, how Alto and Stella have also come to the conclusion that they will hold discussions and keep an eye on the demonic trends. Through that battle, everyone is going to confront the existence of the Demon Nation directly from the front.

That's the same for Sophia - no, in her case, from the beginning.

"... Sophia"

"Yes."

"Sophia must have thought a lot about this battle too... we need to be even stronger in the future. And the battle against the Demons gets intense too... are you ready?

"Absolutely."

Nodding Sophia. I nod back to it - the discussion is over.
