Sword of the Philosopher

Battle of the Tower

"Uh, Sylvie. I need to tell you one thing."

"What's up?

I say to her looking back.

"The Battle of the Tower... I will of course participate in the attack, but I will take the form of basic support"

"... support? Why?"

The real question. You'll naturally lean your neck from her knowing my skill.

"I usually have no problem fighting...... I have constraints. You know about the Demons who built their castle on the continent?

"Oh, I know"

"- You may not believe it, but we've stepped into the castle of one of them."

"... Speaking of which, you had that conversation a while ago. I've also heard that the hell has perished recently... but if you knock it down..."

I didn't answer anything, but silence meant affirmation on this occasion. There was a chance she wouldn't believe me... but her expression was like believing.

"... do you believe?

"I don't see you two lying people, and I know you have the strength to do that"

Silvi answers Sophia's question. Maybe there was something I felt in the middle of training - anyway, I keep going.

"... apparently he set up a castle for a reason. In fact, we fought the Lord of the castle, but not with all our might. Had we possessed the original power, we would have been wiped out... so when I stepped into the castle, I couldn't fight with satisfaction."

"Any reason?

"According to the spirits who signed with Sophia, I am weak in the temper of a powerful demon clan... I was able to support you, and I was able to deal with you by the power of Sophia and other allies... so I usually move to the rear guard to see the situation and cover you"

"Well... I understand the situation. How do you explain that to someone named Lady who's going to be there with you this time?

"I don't think you have to talk about it at the moment because you don't know what I'm capable of. If we expose it in any way, we'll tell them again."

That concludes the conversation - I wasn't sure I'd talk about Sophia's qualities either, but she shook her head left and right for a moment as she turned her gaze to me. Apparently not yet. You should leave this to Sofia's discretion.

Silvi joined his people, but I don't know if we'll fight together until the end... I thought it would be a good idea to judge around here and in this fight.

The next day, we start our journey with Lady. It's a few days one way, so there's no difficulty or zero - no disturbance on the road, and we were trying to get close to the tower, which is our destination.

"That one."

"Right."

Lady responds to my words... not a tower stretches heavenly high. It is true that it protrudes and stands out from the forests present in the surrounding area, but at height would it be about the equivalent of five or six stories of the building?

The stone tower has quite a few years in it, so you can grow all you want, such as plant twigs. Nevertheless, it doesn't look like it will collapse at all. Maybe it's magically even coated.

"Let's go in. There's definitely a demon, so be careful."

Lady says - he's the type who uses magic while using cane technique, the type that can be used in melee warfare as well. Nevertheless, the basics are the magic main, leaving it to the warrior system to use magic in the rear guard is the original standing.

Peek to the side. There seems to be a somewhat nervous but exciting atmosphere at the same time. He seems excited about stepping into an untouched place. That it was the residence of a wizard must also be applauding it.

Led by Nestor and Silvi, I stepped in with the magic of the light - and I saw the demon quickly.

- Ooh, ooh, ooh!

The roar is unleashed. Red skin and a big demon more than two turns over people - definitely an ogre. Sticks with lizards as good as they look. They're launching a direct assault on us, the intruders.

The force is considerable, and at this point ordinary people definitely lose their hips.

It was Nestor who moved earlier - with an iron shield in his iron armor, he showed himself the structure to stand against directly in front of the Auga.

Auga waves a stick. Nestor received it with a shield - but leaned and flushed his body instantly. Like the game, the ability to defend seems to be first-class.

There Sophia unleashes the 'Aerial Sword'. The wind bladed orga is greatly frightened - Lady uses "Firelance" without getting in her hair and adds pursuit.

Plus, Nestor and Sylvie running from the rear all at once put up a sword - I unleash the magic of rising attack on Sylvie here - both at the same time wielded a sword.

Warriors, how they can work together...... they get slashed in and the ogre blows up. It remained in shape again, but not to mention Todome. Lady unleashed 'Thunderbolt' and vanished.

First contact with Auga - working well and not bad. If this is... Nestor will lead the way and we will proceed to the upper level of the tower. There you go again, Auga. But now I also admit the presence of a serpent bigger than King Cobra.

His name is "Blind Attacker" and he is a troublesome opponent because of his lumpiness.

Auga sets it up. When Nestor tries to stop that advance, I warn him of the serpent.

"Watch out for the serpent!

At the same time as the words, Lady showed movement. A large fireball suddenly appears in front of him. But the magic is different from 'fireball'.

This is a 'flare bomb' of fire attribute intermediate magic… it targets a single person and falls into a category of intermediate magic that is less powerful - it is also the most first intermediate magic learned by the people in the academia, and it seems that the producers intentionally wanted to make them realize that this magic is also the entrance to intermediate magic.

And the aim of the fireball was the serpent, not the auga - the moment Nestor and Auga clashed, Lady's magic burst into the serpent. When it lands, it does not explode, it is an attack of shock waves on the demon, and even if the magic strikes directly, it does not produce smoke or anything else, allowing you to discern the demon's movements.

Nestor, who has held back Auga's advance, goes out to fight back. After deciding to take a blow, Sofia now comes forward and approaches Auga.

The results of the training - right after watching, Auga tries to shake the stick. But Sophia releases a 'fresh stream flash' without looking concerned.

Add a blow and turn behind with a streamlined movement. Auga stops moving this time, Silvi unleashes a pursuit and succeeds in destroying it.

The remaining serpent... I released a 'holy shot' as I approached the Nestors and successfully intercepted them.

"... these guys are, like, keepers"

Says Lady, glancing at where Auga was.

There are demons, but so far there are no demons. I don't know why this demon is protecting the tower... but if I go to the top floor, will I know that too?

- I gathered information about the wizard who lived in the tower by the time I got here, but he also changed his name and so on, and I didn't know anything about his profile in the end.

The fact that he lived in the tower existed at rumor level as Lady had grasped it, but it is unclear about the key wizard personal information... this meant that the wizard had intentionally hidden the information.

And this demon...... why do the demons target the wizards who were hiding their identity. Possible as a possibility is the demon clan that betrayed the Demon King? Then I can understand that he lived in a hidden tower, and that the Demons would target him as a traitor.

While thinking about things, move on further up. Auga again. And now three.

"... let's take care of each of the three avant-gardes"

Silvi is the opinion. Then Nestor and Sophia confront nature and the Auga. From me, Nestor's in the middle, Sylvie's left, Sophia's right.

Me and Lady go into the backup - and start the assault at the same time as Auga breathed together. Nestor shows off his defensive setup, Sophia boosts his magic, and Silvi drives to Auga.

Trinity Trinity's Movement. I first hung the magic of 'Protection' on Sofia before the battle between the three of us began.
