Sword of the Philosopher
Water and darkness
First, I start chanting with my sword's cut. That meant two things. One means intimidation against Azua, but the other is purposefully aimed at increasing my magic so that I understand my abilities to some extent.
"... is that your power"
Prospects are a success. They couldn't judge me at first sight, like Garc, but my abilities seem to have been realized.
Now I was expecting a little bit of you to say, 'Enough power' or something... but that's not how it works, apparently.
"You defeated the Garc. You should have had that much power. But... '
Azua also ejects magic. Never in temper or anything, but due to the great mix of dark forces, it is quite heavy.
"Whether I'm convinced or not, it's another story."
"... Okay, I get it"
Nevertheless, I am more than capable of defeating even the Demon King if I did it for real...... if I did it with all my might, wouldn't it perish?
If it were Feus, the immortal bird of the same divine spirit, he might resurrect or something under that name, but Azua wouldn't either.
"If you're not coming, we're coming."
Proclamation. With it Azua turns her right hand toward me and converges her magic.
Probably magic of dark attributes. I respond to Azua's movements by sticking my left hand out.
For starters, each other unleashes magic - azure is an unnamed black mass. I'm against the dark attribute junior magic "Blackfang" - it looks the same as Azua unleashed, but the difference in power at the moment of the clash appeared true.
This black one is swallowed by the opponent... I thicken my magic barrier.
In a moment, a black bullet could be bounced around. I can make a small hole so that the bullet lands instantly when I touch the ground or something. Even a shotgun hit me with a piece of magic, but the barrier gave me nothing.
I acted reflexively, but even as normal, the damage was probably zero...
"Have you harnessed that magic and completely prevented my attacks"
Azua speaks out after saying so to my barrier.
"But now magic. That was the darkness I had. If you convince me, don't you have other means?
I don't know how to answer it - the arrow tip I tried to reply to worried, Gark spoke out.
"If Lord Luon is serious, Azua... because you and others will wipe it off lightly"
Hey...!? While I'm surprised, Azua whines' ho '.
'I mean, you think there's a considerable difference between me and that person?
"Don't be like that."
I wondered what I was going to do with the stir... Azua sent out an even stronger sign here.
"Then let me prove it"
He even starts to show his killer temper at me - so intimidating that he seems to pass out just because he's attacked by the magic that emits it. But I stay superior and figure out how to move.
"Lord Luon."
Here, Garc, who provoked Azua, spoke out.
"To truly yield Azua, we need to draw on his full strength. It is only by defeating Azua, who has the original power, that we will finally admit it '
"So you dared provoke me... well, sure, the effect seems to have been on the brink"
Even if it's azure, it's something you might find to be a cheap provocation... okay. Gark is right, if you win a battle with a state of seriousness, Azua will have to admit it too.
The problem is the means of attack... but wait. Given the possibility of destroying the azure, it cannot be attacked by magic like the weakness of the azure like the light attribute. But water and darkness - these two are attributes that Azua presides over, but if you used these to fight and push and win, wouldn't they be total victories?
Most of all, it would be a facial crunch for Azua... thinking about if it was something I could do.
"That'll do it."
Gark says, as if he had read my thoughts. Well, is that harder than not being able to destroy Azua?
Nevertheless, it must be verified first. According to Amalia's story, Azua is supposed to absorb water and darkness... but is it true at all?
I start chanting again. Azua is waiting - I release "Black Fang" again.
Azua doesn't even try to avoid it as soon as possible. The magic struck directly - but hit the barrier.
'... that's a move to guess my abilities'
Like breaking through my prospects, Azua says.
"It's a sight to see how far that extra attitude goes."
Azua declares… This is not just a fight to defeat, but a fight to yield an opponent who shows an attitude like that now. I breathe and figure out how to move.
I don't know if it's still deactivation or absorption in an earlier attack. Will we have to destroy the barrier and see how it reacts?
What to do...... Azua moves while you think. Suddenly a stream of water rises from the ground, and even more black dark forces overflow from its body.
The moment I thought - Azua set me up. Straight this way - I immediately begin chanting. Can you make it?
Azua's fist, packed with distance, is released. That's obviously the power of darkness...... at that moment I finished my magic.
"- It's the current!
Released with the voice was the water attribute intermediate magic called 'Stream Impulse'. The magic that is crushed by water pressure - but it clashes decently with the fist of the dark attribute, and the water stream swallows a temporary azure.
"- Something like this"
At the same time as the words, the water currents could play. In the meantime, I will perform further chants.
Magic swallowed the azure, but it still couldn't break the barrier. I just don't see how you're disabling the magic of water attributes on the barrier, and I also have the idea that you can break it.
Activate more magic. It's "Stream Impulse," as it was earlier, and I hope this can destroy the barriers -
"It's no use."
Azua launches an attack while cutting it off. As you march this way, it also has the appearance to make you feel quite terrified. But I'll keep an eye on them and be prepared to take care of any situation.
Magic clashes. But Azua is pushing me to break through the current.
There, I unleashed further magic. This is also water attribute intermediate magic, called 'aquaconverge'. The magic of the water currents sharply and as sharp as a pointed spear, concentrating on one point and piercing the target.
The prospect is fulfilled - the water flow converges into the body of the azure. That's when I understood what happened when the water clashed with the barrier.
At the same time, move sideways to avoid an immediate assault. Azua's attack to the point of stupidity clears the sky and results in inverting the standing position.
Get in position immediately - shortly afterwards, Azua said.
"You've noticed."
I looked back at the other person… Eventually, I uttered the conclusions I had drawn.
"Can it also have an absorptive effect on the barriers"
'That's right. This is my power. Do you understand that there's no point in using water or darkness?
Azua reacted to my mention - apart from the barrier and Garc's own characteristics in the case of Garc. But in Azua's case, when the current hit me directly earlier, it felt like the magic I unleashed was sucked into the barrier.
This is a different phenomenon than when we released 'Black Fang' earlier - Azua is apparently different from Garc, and it is possible to give the barrier the characteristics it has itself, and moreover it can be turned on and off. At this rate, the dark attributes would be able to do the same.
As Amalia said, if you consider its ability to absorb, the first thing you can think about is extending the magic and causing an overflow.
"What's up?
Azua asks. I see even more magic and intimidation coming.
The question is, when it comes to absorption, which is more effective than water or darkness...... Azua is attacking around darkness attributes more than water. If so, as an azure, darkness may be a better area of expertise.
"As for water and darkness, Lord Luon, which one can use more powerful magic?
Gark's question comes. I answer as I look to Azua.
"Dark attributes, right. But there's magic that I haven't even tried yet with water attributes."
'Hmm, well... if you prove that you outnumber Azua in either of them, you'll be convinced too'
It's easy for me to say...... but I'm pretty sure Azua wouldn't be convinced if he didn't do it.
"Okay. Let's do it."
I made a decision - I started chanting.
