Sword of the Philosopher
Signs of war
Now, we're going to the Kingdom of Alastin, but we don't even know if the event will occur while we travel. We continue to investigate the area with demons.
However, he was certainly asked in the town to be visited about rumours that made Sofia a a factor of anxiety. The contents vary most of all, from a long way ahead of what has already begun to a realistic story of soldiers assembling. At the end of the day, there's so much talk of Canaan defeating his enemies.
"I hope I'm not badly confused"
In the town I visited, Kuuza opened his mouth as I was looking for an inn.
"As far as public information is concerned, the Kingdom of Alastin is currently only preparing for war. I think you're right in thinking about the situation in the surrounding countries rather than the demons attacking them."
"I agree with that."
Silvi also endorses the reference to Khuza.
"It's just, well, it wouldn't be strange when or when an attack from the Demons would occur. A nation with a treasure sword. It's not like the sage's blood muscles, but its power is known all over the continent. Even the Devil's side should be on guard."
"Currently, couldn't a young king handle a treasure sword yet?
Kuuza asks Sofia. Then she thought,
"The inheritance of the treasure sword itself takes place when you are ten years old and you are supposed to start training there, so I think you can use it. It's just a different story to use and whether you can do enough to defeat the Demon Clan."
"You mean the treasure sword has a way of using it?"
"Exactly... I think Canaan recognizes the area, too"
... I haven't looked into his prowess either. The only thing we know is that Canaan will be able to awaken and freely use the treasure sword through the battle that will begin.
As a battle flow, defeat demons that attack from three directions: North and East and West. But the demon tribe, commander-in-chief of the army, will multiply the battle into the castle and confront Canaan... in that battle he will make the treasure sword entirely ours.
Will it change around here as well if we save generals and others...... no, the war outcome may not matter because it is an event that occurs after the victory on the human side is confirmed.
"Anyway, you better hurry up."
I say. Sophia and the others nodded - that day, they were to rest in the lodging town.
After the next day, the journey continues. And finally, coming to the point of entering the realm of the Kingdom of Alastin, I finally understand that the signs of the event have appeared.
"You're still a long way from the capital... but it's a small country. I'm sure we'll be there in a few days."
Reminds me of this country as I speak. It is a small country surrounded by snug mountains, with warm climates and agriculture as the main industry. The country itself is famous for its treasure sword presence, but it is also small and has low military power. But this country has survived so far, probably because it had managed to disperse demons in association with the surrounding powers.
Neighbouring countries have also managed to push back, a situation in which war conditions are gradually leaning towards the human side, but which still does not allow for forecasting. In it, the Kingdom of Alastin temporarily interrupts its cooperation with the surrounding countries - maybe this is a work of partition by the Demons.
Anyway, what's for sure is that it's a great opportunity for the Demons.
"... hmm?
Khuza raised her voice to the lid. Distance, but somewhat off the streets - from which, smoke was rising.
"... that, no way"
With Khuza's words, there will be more black smoke going up further. At this point, I also guessed what was going on.
The demons are attacking.
"- Let's go!
Everyone moves out at the same time I speak. Use magic to travel all at once and arrive at the scene. That's exactly where I was in the middle of an attack.
"We need to help... but what do we do?
Sylvie asks. You'll see when you get close, but that kind of demon is unified with armed cobolts... an easy-going miscellaneous class demon if the Sophias are capable.
So I just gave the instructions.
"It seems that the ability of the monster that is raging is low for us... I'll check the villagers' situation. The three of you, take down Kobolt."
"Okay."
"Okay."
"Okay, let's do it."
As they respond successively, the three begin to act.
After dropping him off, he creates a demon of use as he advances to the village. It's about observing the three of you - going into the village as you turn your consciousness to them from time to time.
The village is devastated with every house. If you are a human being, you think looting and so on will also enter the raid reason, but in the case of demons created by the Demons, is it merely a purpose of destruction?
I look around the house and I move to check on the survivors. In it, I found a man who fell injured. Run over and ask.
"Are you all right?
"Ugh... what about you?
"I'm a traveler."
Use healing magic to quickly block wounds. Then the man eased his painful expression and said to me.
"The demon, all of a sudden... I don't even know where it came from"
"Really... my people are hitting the demon sweep. Soldiers and knights will probably rush again. It's okay -"
So, check on your buddies. First of all, Silvi. When she sets up to the cobolt she finds, she knocks everything down with one blow.
Looks like Cobolt can't handle that attack speed. Some guys find Silvi and attack him, but Silvi's sword is bursting before all of it shakes off.
Next, Kuza. Magically sweep away the approaching cobolts with the ability to hold on. It magically and securely terminates from the enemy it discovers further. Due to the range of magical effects, the ability to annihilate villages against demons may be higher than Silvi's.
And Sophia. It uses the power of the Spirit, while accurately handling it with sword moves. Apparently, he's standing by so he can use his magic, but he doesn't need that for this opponent, and he's dealing with it all with his sword.
Sophia and Silvi are also looking to make sure the feel of the newly acquired sword. Not strong enough to show the true value of a sword, but it could be just the right opponent to get it into your hands.
I, too, run through the village while destroying the cobolt that was lurking nearby. Find and embrace survivors, and also discover and deal with Cobolts by defeating enemies. Continuing those tasks...... roughly an hour or so later, the battle came to an end.
- There were only so many of them.
Kuuza says. After we wiped out Kobolt, we were supposed to rendezvous and discuss it while the villagers confirmed the survivors.
"Moreover, demons were unified with weapons equipped in a kind. It could have been a demon led by the Demons."
"You mean you're taking some kind of instruction and you're doing evil?
In response to Silvi's question, Khuza answered after shrugging her shoulders.
"There are two possible possibilities. One is that the demons are dead and the demons are scattered"
"There's no such thing as defeating the Demons around here."
"Right. I can't deny the possibility that some distant demon tribe has been hit and the Kobolts have flown, but from the rumors of the Kingdom of Alastin, I think there is another possibility more likely"
"That is..."
Sophia opened her mouth following Kuuza.
"The Demons are leading and moving the army, etc."
"Oh. Before the war began, he said, these demonic raids began as a precursor. Finally, this country too..."
That's right - in time, maybe it was just right.
That's when I heard the horse groan. Apparently, the knights rushed to unusually notice.
I'll see how it goes.
Speaking up, I started walking to the entrance to the village.
