Sword of the Philosopher

The biggest obstacle

Running through town, me and Sophia reach the king without a handicap. It is a square that exists in the center of town, this place where people are usually busy. But now it was turned into a battlefield.

- I thought the general was coming.

Interrupting the onslaught on the SS, the Demons - Barren spoke.

There is a demon clan across the way from the kings. And the SS is fighting to keep the king back to stop that demon tribe... but if you look where a few people have already fallen, the power of the demon tribe is diminished in splits, it's still huge.

When explored by the demon, the battle at the North Gate presents the face of a long-term battle. Splits do not exercise magic or anything else, basically only direct attacks. Technically good Boslo is easy to deal with, and yet Silvi and the others are still able to respond to what they can afford. Fighting division doesn't seem to be a problem.

And how should we move? I don't know how strong Barren is in the first place because he is an enemy that will be lightly defeated with Canaan's sword. Given the strength that is stopping the Boslo and the others, even though they are divided, they must definitely be in a high position among the Demons.

Also, just for me and Sophia to confront each other and fight, Canaan's Awakening Event will be ruined... but has that flow still vanished at the start of a battle that isn't in the scenario this way?

There are endless questions, but for one thing, I'm moving closer to Canaan.

"King, are you all right?

"Oh."

When the young king nods, he turns his gaze to Sofia once.

"Your squire."

"Yes."

He doesn't seem to have noticed anything about Sophia. Well, I guess that means Boslo's conjecture was unusual... while I think about it, I turn my gaze to Barren.

Similar to being separated, magic and the like are basically fought by magic that I let come together in my fist without using it. The SS set it up then, and the Demons move to fight it.

Lightly bouncing back the sword pointing at him, Barren went out to fight back. The speed of the fists unleashed is considerable, poking the SS body from above the armor. As a result, the SS body blew heavily - in the meantime, Barren looked at Canaan and waved his right arm.

"Come on!"

Several SS members erected barriers to protect the King and us. Multiple magic that creates barriers at the same time.

Shortly afterwards, a light bullet created by the magic that has been worked out of Barren's fist is emitted. That hit the barrier directly...... is the power considerable or the barrier swept wide.

"At that number, that seems to be the limit."

Barren comes one step closer with a grunt. Since SS constitutes a multiple barrier, do you have the soul nerve to reduce SS numbers first than kings?

"A new guest has arrived, and it's time to settle."

Barren pronounces words and further enhances the magic of both arms. Seeing it, Sophia confronts the Demons to get out in front of Canaan and protect them.

I'm in front of Canaan again. Then Barren smiled.

"I'll tell you what, you don't think you can take me down"

They hit me in the game. I try to slap a light mouth in my mind about what you say, etc... the situation is very bad.

Can Canaan fulfill his awakening - is that the biggest problem? If you can't do that, there will be problems besides defeating the demon clan in front of you.

But - it's also my responsibility to invite this kind of thing.

"... King"

I'll call Canaan.

"The Demons are apparently quite strong... and we will protect them with the SS"

"... I am"

That's when the king raised his voice. If you look at it, you squeeze the treasure sword and figure out whether to fight the Demons or not.

This, if held back... Ballen moved while I was thinking. SS, which constitutes a barrier. But...

"It's over."

It must have been a blow all over me. There was considerable magic in the right straight released by Barren, who finally smashed through the barrier.

Reduced in numbers, SS couldn't stand it either - instantly they go into interception, but are blown away by demonic attacks. I didn't kill him. Rather than buying time to be able to target the king's neck?

If you realize it, the other SS will be away from the king, and only me and Sophia will protect him.

Ballen approaches. In contrast, I moved. The opponent wields his right fist. As I received my sword in the battle of Kobolt earlier, I perceive the magic of the Demon Clan from my senses and experiences - fulfilling magical convergence.

We have not yet reached the level of exposing our essential abilities. But if you take this, they'll be even more alert.

Fist and sword clash. Enhanced by magic... I got Barren's fist cut off.

"Oh man, the biggest obstacle is mercenaries"

It's like laughing at the SS somewhere - and at the same time, sounding alert to me. Then once Barren withdrew.

"Next, settled."

Strengthen your magic even more. It's enough to shock the people around me, in which I look at the magic of silent convergence.

Seems pretty hard to get rid of that one... no wait, is there a way to do it? I start the magic chant.

"Are you willing to fight it?

Ballen asks. I did not respond to it, but retreated with my gaze on the Demons and called to the King.

A little forceful... but I just have to do it.

"King, I want to borrow the power of your treasure sword..."

"... mine?

"A sword with the power of exorcism should also be a decisive battle against the demon clan in front of you. I'll stop him. In that gap."

I have to be serious when it comes to defeating the Demon Clan that produces all this output, but that's not good. Then what... Draw Canaan's power here. Barren, who didn't use his discernment abilities, was buried in a single blow in the game. Then, if he gives his full strength, he can destroy it.

Nevertheless, Canaan seems to patronize my words. Perhaps, but during the game, there were no more people to protect as early as possible, and there was no other way than to defeat the Demons - that is, there were some reopened sides. But not now. That's why I'm lost, and I'm butting in to see the power of the Demons again.

But that's the only time I thought...

"- Canaan."

Sophia's voice was heard at a volume that I could only hear. No doubt about that.

"... Huh?

I understood how my voice remembered - who it was.

Sophia revealed herself to Canaan's patrol. I don't know what that's going to mean - while I think about it, Barren moves out.

"Let's start with you!

Barren running wildly with his voice. The SS moves to sabotage me, too, but packs me in sooner than that.

I can put magic into my sword to fight it. If you take it decently, you could lose your strength and be blown away.

As a countermeasure - I activate magic.

"Light, destroy my enemy!

Light Attribute Intermediate Magic 'Secret Area' - The magic that originally creates a magic formation at the foot of the enemy and the light swallows the enemy. Power is lower than other light attribute intermediate magic.

Besides, now that it has become the real world, it is not very user-friendly due to the possibility of being avoided, as there is a slight time lag until light is produced from the magic formation that occurred at your feet.

But I apply this - the magic formation was created in the air to intercept Barren, directly in front of me.

"What -?"

As Ballen raises her voice, there is light from the magic formation. It came together undiffused, sharp and pointy as a single spear - but when I saw it, my opponent let go of his fist, regardless.

"Why don't we break something like this through!

Light ejects. The goal is the fist released by Barren. The aim is precise and the light converges towards Barren's right fist.

Clashing, the light and fist temporarily temper each other, but eventually Barren pushes in better... the equilibrium breaks down, and finally Barren breaks through.

But the magic of his right fist also fell - I activated more magic to contain Barren's attack.
