Sword of the Philosopher

The Knight Mystery

Unlike the damage to the exterior, there were quite a few movements of people in the town.

I imagined this place was somewhat dominated by a knight who attacked us, but it didn't seem like that kind of atmosphere.

"You don't look like a knight just now."

Richard says - Sure, it's no surprise there are a lot of knights who have been attacked by us if they rule, but they don't look like them either.

He looks very normal about soldiers on the corner... Hmm, was the town damaged a long time ago, and is it currently in the process of being rebuilt or something? But then I don't know why the knight was there earlier. You knew where the ruins were and you were working to avoid people?

Most of all, the faces of the people walking around town without such a knight's reign are somewhere dark. It will no doubt be caused by repression.

Go into a store where you buy tools and stuff before you fix things around there. I sell off some of my stuff while I move my eyes to the groceries inside.

I don't think it would be a lot of money... but the amount I was given was well there. Considering the amount of groceries and the like, it seems like something could be done about it as travel expenses for quite some time.

So, in the meantime, we also collect information - and as a result, it was as expected, but it didn't seem to be moving on like a story.

"It's a different story from what Lady Luon knows… it doesn't seem like there are strange enemies, for example."

Sophia says - leave the store and have a conversation overlooking the street.

"Well, you are. It's not in keeping with the story..."

I answer her words head-on.

First of all, the Marquis of Four Dragons has not yet been destroyed... or a situation where there seems to be no talk of fighting etc. And the emperor is alive.

So, some resistance forces seem to flip the flag against the emperor... but that is gradually becoming a disadvantage, a situation in which that organization is finally about to collapse.

Hmmm, I'm in a pattern where the mastermind is likely to win...... Imagine what would happen if I left it like this. Even the masterminds do not have combat data on the Marquis, but material will be provided. Then, sooner or later, the study should be completed and launched.

"... what do you do?

Sophia asks. I put my hand on my mouth and think.

"I knew it wasn't a good idea to leave it alone. At this rate, the mastermind will eventually prevail"

"When is the time for the mastermind to move in full..."

"Guess what, you're willing to crush the rebel group and then execute it?

Richard presents his views.

"Presently, so much domestic turmoil is subsiding in repression. Then slowly the mastermind will be able to study it."

"When that happens, the existence that becomes a threat to the mastermind is the Marquis of the Four Dragons, right? Both sides are currently working together…"

"I'm sure Nehmeisa was originally willing to end it."

I rely on my memory to speak.

"There is only an interest between Nehmeisa and the Marquis. The Marquises are moving a lot in exchange for various rewards. Originally, the Marquises didn't pledge allegiance to the current emperor... some of them hated it."

"I mean..."

"After suppressing the rebels, Nehmeisa killed the emperor. Then I called the Marquises and pretended to talk about the reward... using the Emperor's Dragon Demon Stone to finish it off, I guess."

Probably would have made these calculations by Nehmeisa herself. The game just tells us that the opponent has become a rebel group.

"Well... I could confirm the situation to some extent. So, let's talk about what we're gonna do from here."

"Before that, what's the status of the knights you tied up?

Richard's words. I'll check the situation here. Apparently, he woke up, but he can't move.

"I don't know what to do about them... it would be a bad idea to try to hand them over because they would be knights for once"

I wonder if it would be best to leave it like that... that's what I thought, arrowheads, shadows approaching the knights in captivity.

"Ah, here comes another knight. Maybe he was acting in several parts of the squad. We ran into one of them."

"Does that mean there were other ruins of angels?

"Or maybe there was a purpose besides the ruins of an angel"

Continuing surveillance, a knight from a different location released him from custody. If there's anything like coming to this town, we have to figure out what to do...

They start moving. That direction is the opposite of this town.

"Sounds like you're not coming this way."

"What was the purpose of those knights?

"... the knights' gear is definitely related to the Duke. I mean, they came all this way with a secret life... um, I don't know if this has anything to do with Nehmeisa, or if it's the Marquis' own behavior."

"In the story, what are these examples?

"The ruins of the angels existed, and there were things like Yusuka diving as a dungeon... but there was no information that the Marquises were involved"

How do you see this...... Either way, you should keep this fact in mind.

"In the meantime, keep this information in mind… shall we discuss how we should act in the future"

With that said, I show one store. From the sign, it's the diner.

"Let's start with the tummy."

After finishing the order, Sophia was the first to cut it out.

"Do you want to rendezvous with the rebel groups?

"That's one hand... whatever choice you make, you need to find out about them. I'm sure there will be Yusuka, the hero of the story."

"Anything else...... slap the mastermind directly?

"It's the fastest solution, so I hope it's easy to understand."

"Problem?

"Oh."

I tell Sophia while I look in trouble.

"Simply put, defeating Nehmeisa at this stage will crumble the country"

"What?"

"The story had many currents, and it was also important at what time to defeat the last enemy, Nehmeisa"

- In the game, you will be able to do a lot of things with bonuses after the second circle. One of them is the destruction of Nehmeisa. You can sneak into the Imperial Castle at any time, and you can defeat him. As a result, we're going to have an ending without exception.

"Nehmeisa has no fighting ability if she's in a situation where she's not gaining power, and defeating herself is an easy victory. We can definitely sneak into the castle and put our necks down."

"But if you do that, the country will collapse?

"Eh, the present country is not ruled by an emperor. Basically Nehmeisa and his breath-taking minister are doing it. If you lose your head in it..."

"You're confused."

Sophia assures me. I speak with a reminder of the game's bad ending.

"It is extremely likely that the country will be even more confused than it is now...... now that all the Marquis of Four Dragons are alive, the path to follow is how they will end up having a massive revolt and the country will fall apart"

"I know I should avoid that kind of ending,"

Richard describes it - the fourth feature was that it had a severe atmosphere somewhere. There was definitely more seriousness than war and so on in "Spirit World," where we fought against the Demon King, but there were many pastoral things about sub-events and so on, and it wasn't that it was a dark side down.

But "Eden of Dragons" is different. The style is a lot different, such as preparing a relentless dark ending. In fact, there were many types of endings, sometimes called multi-endings, but many of them are so-called bad ends that come to a dark end.

"Destroying one or two Marquises of the Four Dragons is the same situation. In the end, the living Marquis just wreaks confusion...... I wonder if if it would be the way the story goes if you defeated it all. Well, maybe it's best to force it to take it to its shape. The question that remains is the treatment of the present emperor."

"It's a situation where people are buying resentment right now."

Says Sophia. Exactly. It's just that he's a victim, too - well, what do we do?

The argument goes further, the next person to speak up was Richard.
