Sword of the Philosopher

Reason for escape

Sophia and the others popped out - roughly twenty minutes later, Eina brought Sophia back.

So, Eina looked at us waiting in the lobby,

"... have you been waiting?

"Think of dinner together. But you're well caught."

"I knew I could use mobile magic, so I took appropriate measures"

"What did you do?

When asked with interest, Eina drops her eyes on her own feet.

"Lower body strengthening using magic... but repeated trials and errors, especially to increase the speed of movement"

"Heh, is that to enhance your combat capabilities?

"No, to catch you like this when you're reunited with Master Sophia."

"... right"

I didn't know we were going to do that. That's thorough.

And then Sophia, caught, is quiet like the cat she borrowed. I asked her, laughing bitterly at that attitude.

"By the time I got here, was something wrong?

"No, especially..."

"Dear Sophia,"

To Eina, who gave her name, Sophia shrugs her neck. It's like a kid with a prank found out and pissed off.

"Anyway, please just don't run away"

"... yeah"

"So, can you explain the situation?

Alto asks somewhere interesting. Then Eina looked back at him,

"Will you fight with Lord Luon in the future?

"I'm going to, but it looks like Mr. Leon and the others have a lot going on... I don't know what's going to happen"

Eina reacts less to Alto, who tells her shrugging shoulders.

"... Lord Luon, I didn't get to talk to you in detail, but is there a big battle or something holding you back?

"There is no doubt that there are enemies, but we can only speculate on their details. Besides, it's probably unlikely to move from the opponent, so I don't know when it's going to be a showdown."

"But sooner or later, we're going to fight, right?

A tone like asking questions. Pressured or nearby Romilda breathes in.

It's obvious that if you look at this, you'll follow me everywhere... and I'm also convinced that Sophia didn't let me accompany you.

"... will you tell me how this happened to Sophia or something?

Asking, pointing to Sophia as quiet as ever, Eina nodded,

"Even so, there is no such complicated reason..."

"Simply because I didn't get a voice when I left the castle, or something?

"That's one of the reasons... but what's important is in that I had a good promise"

and Eina took a slight breath,

"It's not a big story, so let's talk. Dinner seats...... no, let's tell them before the food arrives"

Quite a few large people surrounded the table for dinner... but don't float that chivalrous Eina is in this position.

"Many times in advance I checked with Master Sophia. If Lord Luon is going to travel after the battle with the Demon King... if Master Sophia is going to follow it, I will give you my word too."

"... you didn't tell me not to go?

"I was foolish that Lord Luon's journey was due to some concerns about this world. Besides, His Majesty was not opposed to Sofia traveling as a squire either. If so, there is no reason for me to stop"

... Something's trusted in the weird.

It's just that it was Sophia and Richard who actually traveled with me.

"What happened as a result?

Alto while drinking water. And then Eina grabbed her teeth.

"I got away."

"... escaped?

"That's right! I checked in advance! But it was a day to travel and Master Sophia had disappeared at some point!

and so Eina turned her face to Sofia,

"I'd like to see why"

"... erm"

Sophia with a troubled look on her cheek. These reactions are fresh.

"Was there a reason?

When I asked, Sophia glanced at me.

"First, that Eina had a role as a knight herself. And the..."

"Why are you hooking me up?

"... uh, I'll tell you something first, because I didn't want to travel with Eina, or treat her in an evil way, or anything like that"

"Yeah, 'cause I know that well, too"

Sophia still has a troubled face. Waiting for words to say what it means...... eventually,

"It's hard to say...... you know, I didn't think it would probably fit with Master Luon"

"Doesn't it fit?

"Not something of a personality, etc., but a difference in stance"

I don't know. I can't tell you if you're just unhappy with Eina.

"Dear Sophia, I..."

"Then ask me one thing, but if me, Master Luon, and Eina fight demons, what form do we take?

"Me and Lord Luon lead the way, and Master Sophia can handle magic, so in the rear..."

Oh, yeah. I know what Sophia's trying to say.

"So Sophia thought she could rub it in the way she fought when Eina joined."

"Yes."

I totally agree with Sophia. Besides, Eina has a bitter face.

As Eina, I know we're going to hurt Sophia more than we're going to travel together, and naturally we're going to be in a position to protect her.

However, as for Sophia, I would prefer someone to come forward to hold the sword... did you think the difference around it would cause problems?

"Eina will never be willing to give up things around there... because she's very stubborn"

"But..."

"Eina, I apologize for leaving you saying nothing. But I am accompanied by my own thoughts on my journey with Master Luon... and I want you to understand that."

Eina nodded small, not two sentences succeeded to the straight word...... but you understood.

"Okay. Just one thing, Master Sophia... why did you escape earlier?

"... because"

and Sophia turned a blind eye,

"Eina's sermon at times like this... because it's a long time..."

- Uh, it was a game, that kind of interaction. Sophia appears as a companion to the protagonist Eina at the beginning of the game, but the situation then takes the form of accompanying Sophia as an escort who tried to get outside. Eina didn't seem to think much of getting out of the castle per se, more than just being a princess, and preached quite a long time.

Apparently, as for Sophia, it wasn't a very good memory...... naturally.

"For now, Eina, no sermons, okay?

Confirming, Eina nodded with a strange face.

"Oh, yeah... so what happened to Lord Luon and the others..."

That's when the food was brought in. I'm going to cut the story out here.

"The story, even after the meal"

So to fill my belly first. I started each meal, but Eina looked at me and Sophia and sighed.

"Is there anything else that bothers you?

Inquiring as she grabbed the bread, Eina showed a slightly lost bare gesture,

"... for a while, does that mean you're on this continent?

"Well yeah. We're going to be able to achieve our primary goal of meeting angels, and we're going to have a big fight."

Then Eina is silenced. And then he shifted his gaze to me and Sophia, and he seemed to want to say something.

"Eina? What's the matter with you?

Sophia asks, Eina coughs up one,

"... once you have a separation, you may want to be returned to the continent"

"Any reason?

"Oh, that. It's never serious."

And, foreshadowed... Eina spoke out.
