Sword of the Philosopher

Fallen Angel of the Abyss

Now, even when it comes to having a conversation with Anverate, a fallen angel... I honestly have nothing but anxiety. Even though there is no imitation that will strike me, will you fulfill it and treat me amicably... let's just do it, more than Devals asked me to do with it.

According to the story, Anverate is currently underground in the demonic nest where the villagers were lurking. They're looking around to see if there's a clue about Rostaldo. I was taught by Devals to head to the demon's nest and go down to the ground.

"Steady, that's a lot deeper..."

I'm finding a way down to the ground... a spiral passage exists, a deep hole that runs everywhere in the center of it. It is possible to use the magic of movement to descend all at once, but it can also clash to the ground or something because you can't see below. The damage was zero, but I felt sorry for myself, so I was on foot.

The basement is full of spirits, just as it was when I met Anverate. It's great for Villaiser to be malicious, and I'm convinced he created a demon here.

Reach the bottom of the ground in no time. Quite a large space when illuminated by lights. Yet it seems that the road continues in all directions, like a vast underground cave?

"It's hard to find..."

When I shrugged like that, I felt a strong temper from the right direction. Hmm, did you notice this way?

"Uhm, you're definitely a fallen angel"

Gark says. As this one waited, the fallen angel - Anverate - showed up with signs of dos black.

I'm not really letting the killer drift, but it reminds me of the first time I ran into him... yeah, I'm scared enough.

"Oh, I can't believe you're here. Did someone from the angel even send you a crusade request?

Fallen angels asking in a sweet voice. So I shrugged my shoulders,

"Mr. Devals instructed me to check on you."

"Um, are you on guard?

"Devalus, it doesn't seem to be the case... well, what other angels think -"

"I guess you never think better."

Ah, and a fallen angel with a small sigh.

"I can't help it. The head of the angel will have a hard time too, but he made fun of me on that occasion, so I need you to work a little hard."

I guess I just resent you a little bit. But that's why there's no indication that we're going to do something about Devals.

In silence, Anverate looks at this face like a

"You're not interested in me?

"I don't know how much. But it's not something we can ask and answer, is it?

"Sure... but I'm honest with you when I'm concerned."

Anverate takes one step closer. My temper got even stronger, but I'm not moving.

"I sent you to someone who's okay with me running wild, is that why?

"There may be a little intent to that, but Mr. Devals can put it to credit in this fight... and yet he wasn't so sure with you, the fallen angel, that you were chosen?

"Yeah, I see."

Look seriously at me. Apparently he was interested in me.

"A man who can fight on par with me...... what is the source of that power?

"It's a gift of training."

"I don't think I can be this strong with training."

... Using her gaming knowledge, she would lean her neck even though she said so.

There's also the presence of a reincarnator named Alan, so there's nothing I can't explain - but no, do you want to stop talking for a second?

There's nothing else you can say from me.

"Yes, unfortunately. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to help you find out how you got stronger."

"... you, the fallen angel, know about me as a human being?

"Yeah, that's right. It doesn't have anything to do with angels or humans, does it?

Anverate speaking with a smile. The skin tone is a little creepy because it is pitch-black, but it also seems to be somewhere adorable.

"That's to defeat Rostaldo, isn't it?

"Right."

"I don't ask why, but can I interpret you as having a considerable grudge?

Silence came. I thought for a moment if it was a part I shouldn't touch, but her condition is that of leaning on her little neck, an atmosphere I'm not sure how to talk about.

"Well, I might say so."

"What do you mean...?

"I'm pretty sure I have a grudge, and I became a fallen angel trying to gain strength to defeat Rostaldo... this is for sure too. But you know... it's strange to be told revenge is everything."

With that said, Anverate looked around at the darkening cave.

"Maybe that's why I'm enjoying this situation. Ever since I was an angel, I've been trying to live a comfortable life by sticking my neck in a variety of things."

"... sounds like a troublemaker"

Speaking frankly, Anverate affirms, "It must be."

"But, well, this is how they gave me the chance to fight Rostaldo, so I'll do what I deserve. Tell that to the head of heaven."

"That's kind of a light tone...... okay. I'll tell you about it."

From the looks of things, it looks like you'll be working with me for a while... suspicious and explosive from the look of exasperation.

"... by the way"

And I'll try to change the story somehow.

"When the vengeance is over, what are we going to do?

"What are you gonna do, just be quiet at the bottom of the basement like you always do? Oh, but the angels will miss it."

Fallen angel to think arms together. The fact that the angels won't let it go doesn't mean it's gonna end up rolling in the right direction for her.

"It's no use thinking about it before the battle is over. If I could just say one thing."

And, Anverate laughed with a kusri,

"What will happen to this battle... one thing is certain."

"Confirmed? What do you mean?

"I'm afraid I can't tell you that."

Let me have an inclusive laugh. She speaks - Somehow, though there is an enigmatic atmosphere, should I assume that this is somewhat disguised as such?

"Tell the head of the heavenly realm I was feeling well. Don't worry, I'm not willing to betray you, of course. First of all, something more than flipping an anti-flag on Rostaldo, and without you, we'll have no allies. If you understand that you're lifelines to me, you know there's no element of betrayal, right?

Talk and she turns her back.

"Well, then I'll give you some free time around here."

- What should we do? Should we talk some more, or should we just disperse?

I started thinking right after she walked out... just before I couldn't see it,

"Anverate"

Calling her first name, she stopped.

"... what is it?

"Is there a trace of what Villaiser was doing in this basement?

"It's not zero, but the Daimyo angels checked it out, didn't they?

"I'd like to see firsthand what it actually is, can you show me around?

- This is an excuse. If the angels looked into it, they should definitely leave it to you.

The real thing is...... just a little bit, I was interested in Anverate. Because she looks relaxed in response to me, but it also seemed like she was acting somewhere.

I'm just not going to step in deep. But this is how we were supposed to fight together. You can try to deal with it for a little bit.

Did Anvelate read my thoughts or... eventually she had a compelling grin,

"Yeah, okay. Then let's walk a little."

That's what he suggested to me.
