Sword of the Philosopher

A showdown between demons.

"If you keep shooting magic from a distance, it might have been over. It was a battle, but I didn't expect you to come at the end"

That's what the Demon Widels say, he goes on to Croix in some playful tone.

"At the end of the day, your own hands... surely the only way for you to be the Demon King... whatever, you can't keep him alive and give him back more than we've met like this"

"Here's the line."

Croix confronts Widels. There are demons around the enemy refraining as escorts... should these guys be defeated too?

I'm nearby. I throw my gaze at Zemun... Did you see this one's intentions or he nodded small.

All right, so let's knock it down... the arrow tip I tried to move, Croix and Widels also made another move.

Croix waves his hand gently, making a blue sword appear in his right hand... against Widels also waves his arm again, and it is the sword that came out, just like Croix. But this one is red.

Enough magic exists on both sides - soon after, both swords intersect. When the metal sounded loud and on the battlefield, the demons who were around reacted.

And then it hits me from the side of Croix - but I'll handle it. Disconnect before being approached.

There was little resistance, and my slaughter easily broke the demon. Understand once again that defense capabilities are not so high.

When I turned my gaze, Sophia was intercepting a demon who tried to make his way from another place to Croix. Her sword trident is another blow, and I can see that if I and her abilities, the devil is not the enemy.

For one thing, the surroundings are fine. And then there's whether Croix can defeat Widels......!

"You have unfamiliar beings. From magic, you're human."

"Yes."

Croix responds to Widels' query.

"I will join hands with anyone to fight you... that's all"

"Hmm, I don't know why humans are here - there's no question, but I didn't know they were going to join this fight. Your sister's guide."

Push the sword back. Croix left it to the momentum to retreat, Widels remarked.

"Earlier magic was human power, too, wasn't it? Obviously, we had different magic powers."

"Yes."

"... to be Demon King, did you get the trump card? Not so many demons can produce all that powerful magic"

You mean the Demon King is doomed, and there are still fewer powerful people in this demonic kingdom?

"Nevertheless. No matter how much power those humans use, if you're not strong... if you can't defeat me, there's no point."

"I know... let me prove here and now how powerful I am"

"Then come!

Widels ejecting force. The demons around us - no, its power incomparable with that of the demonic tribe. Exactly overwhelming, reflected in the absolute presence within this plain.

Can Croix counteract - that's what I thought, arrowheads, he emits magic again too. That clashed with the magic unleashed by Widels, creating enough momentum to push it back.

"I'm not going to lose by force"

"Well...... that's funny. I didn't know you had this much power. It's something I've always been able to hide."

I wasn't hiding it.

When Croix answers that, he sets up his sword.

"Let's end this, Widels"

"Short-term showdown or... No, should I say we can only do short-term showdown"

Widels responds, emitting an atmosphere of derision somewhere.

"Problems will also arise if you use it... the enhancement is quite good, but the technology cannot be used for long periods of time to eject magic all at once... that's why you kept it warm until you hit it with me this way and also prevented information leakage, etc..."

Croix drives against Widels. The slaughter, packed in time in an instant, is sharp, just as fast as it goes unnoticed.

But Widels took it and flushed it. I am able to handle it - the other person is also applying physical enhancement, but is there little difference in how it is strengthened?

Besides, Croix has a time limit... even if we are now free of magic and able to fight each other, it is only temporary. Can we settle by the time the limit comes to fulfill it?

From Widels' line, he seemed to understand the shortcomings regarding Croix's ability. Fulfilling...

"You're the end, Croix."

And Widels makes it clear.

"No matter how much we strengthen it, we cannot easily fill the difference more than there is a difference in local power. And if you loosen your powers even temporarily, you're done at that point. I don't know how much I can stand."

For a moment, something unexpected happened. Suddenly Croix disappears.

The moment I stared unexpectedly at him, I realized his body was behind Widels.

"Nah."

Widels at the time is also surprised by unexpected moves. And in his inability to react, Croix flickers vertically with a sword that squeezes in his hand!

Attack is - success. Neither could be avoided, Widels took Croix's slaughter on his back.

"Shit......!

tongue punch. I've eaten the attack though, but it doesn't look as damaging.

It strikes back instantly, but also Croix disappears from sight - rather than traveling at an alarming rate. If you noticed, Croix was back where she was.

"Surprisingly easy, you could have put your sword on it"

Somewhere provocative, Croix says.

"This is not going to be so hard, and we're going to be able to pick it up"

- Widels gives that word an angry look. But that's a flash of events. When I immediately put my face back on, my expression disappeared.

"Have you enhanced around speed, not just physical enhancement"

I don't know.

"Well, then we'll do it."

Run. At the same time Croix responds and the sword clashes again.

- Earlier Croix's movements, I too, were enough to lose sight of them for a moment, but the second time I was able to capture them. It's only physical movement, not metastasis or something. It's like that technology using physical enhancement... so I assume it's also a limit on the number of times.

If you can always show the incredible speed of travel you had earlier, you should have fought Wydels in a mess rather than in a meeting. Doesn't that mean to consume a lot of magic... for Croix, who has a problem with the amount of magic he has, it would mean a move that needs to cost a lot.

However, you probably can't do it without exercising that move in order to tailor Widels... I don't think you can compete with a simple meeting. In fact, I see the sight of fighting directly from the front with a sword, and Widels looks better up there.

Croix and Widels take the form of a sword meeting...... Croix slowly being pushed. Is this a difference in local power... but he also skilfully flushes the attack and keeps it critical.

But you can't just keep the situation to win. If we don't fight back and slap the sword into Widels... a semi-probable attack probably won't work though. I can't use an ambush hand like I just did... and it seems like a blockage.

But Croix is meeting his sword to make sure he knows all my concerns. It just shouldn't last that long. What's the next hand...... Croix makes new moves while I think about it.

And at the same time, I'm convinced - that this offense will dramatically change the battlefield.
