Sword of the Philosopher
rendezvous
The night passes without a thing and welcomes the morning. After we were ready to leave, Croix came and gave us a report.
"Amel, but they're heading this way through enemy formations"
"Sounds like we could rendezvous... but that's where we're from."
Some of the villages I checked last night… If it were true that Croix's presumed villagers were to be used as a source of magic, gradually Bizel would be preparing for war. Even if not, there will be some clashes before heading to Bizell's stronghold. If the enemy doesn't come this far, they'll be rallying their forces, and there's a good chance that the collision will be massive.
"So far there are no enemies around. Start the march slowly like this and wait for Amel's arrival to march in full"
"Copy that... What do we do?
"Let's move together for a second. Any enemies by the demon?
"Still ongoing. There's nothing suspicious about it, there's no enemy shadow... so... Croix."
"Oh."
"One of the demons currently in use is near Bizell's headquarters. I checked the exterior, but for once, I don't see anything like a weapon."
"Well... at least you won't be able to exercise it in the castle any more than it is a weapon, so you'll come out. If it's finished, it's not the stage of preparing for launch."
"Right...... so I noticed while I was observing at night that I recognized my user demon as just a bird and didn't realize it. Confirmed, Croix. If there's anything unusual, naturally the enemy will notice, right?
"At least our demons...... plus don't find out for sure even if it's a bird like Mr. Luon uses. But the enemy hasn't noticed that?
I nodded at his inquiry.
"Oh. I tried to position the bird somewhere a little more prominent... but it never attacked so much that the enemy noticed what it looked like and drove it off. I mean, I don't see my demons as enemies."
"That means..."
"If you enter enemy territory, you will discover magic, demons of use, etc... because this is exercising magic in the territory, so maybe my demons of use, who are human beings, will not be detected?
It's hard to imagine the enemy leaving something strange behind... it's only hypothetical, but it seems like it would be good to say it's true in the circumstances.
"So I'm going to use it a little more flashy and roll out the demon."
"Okay. Just don't go deep."
"Oh."
If it's true, I'd just like to check inside the castle, etc., but that's exactly what I'd be doing around it...... Now, what do we do?
I create and diffuse more demons. If there's anything suspicious, report it to Croix immediately.
"Arrive at Bizell's headquarters. Or what do we do if we encounter a trap and engage?
Now Sofia to Croix with questions. He conceived a little,
"It will be difficult to divide and act as it did during the suppression of the fortress, I won't be able to get you to move in the invisible part just this time."
"Then..."
"I'm just trying to figure out how Mr. Leon and the others should stand around... I'll tell them right by the fight, so just wait a minute"
… assuming that you exercise a weapon of war, you will not have to point a soldier here. In that case, it would be nice to know my demon... the problem is if the enemy pushes over.
"Bizel is a schemer. If you were able to rendezvous with Amel, you should have some calculation of how to fight after rendezvous."
"As an enemy, it's desirable to destroy each of them, but you dare to join them and set them up where they concentrate their power?
"It would be," Croix replied when Sophia asked.
"I've been thinking about Bizell's measures since last night, but I think that's more than likely what it means to be able to rendezvous with Amel."
"It's risky for them, too."
"Not at all. But I dare say that... as a Bizel, you won't do it unless you have a chance, so I'm pretty sure you have something to break this battle."
Is that a weapon of war, or an unusual force of war... the Demons are free to create demons and demons, and there are as many ways as there are.
"Croix, for example, planting magic formations that produce demons in the ground, or what?
"It could be, but then you'd notice the scourge."
That's it, Croix shrugged her shoulders.
"I don't have any more information at this stage to speculate on their strategy, and let's not do it for one second... since Mr. Luon seems to be moving to avoid the worst, let me rely on that. Call me if you need anything."
"Oh."
When this one replies, Croix heads to the place where the demon tribe under his command is located.
Now, we're heading northwest on the plain, approaching Bizell's base... and we're finally ready to defeat Bizell after rendezvous with Amel. Just now we're finally halfway down the road. It's just that I was ready to fight Bizel.
It was a battle with high hurdles and would certainly have been tough if it hadn't been easy to break through the fortresses in the mountains...... it is very puzzling where Bizel's thoughts are in those. I have no kiri if I raise the possibility, but I think about what's wrong.
Hmm, I'm right... is that the north side in direction? I found a mountain range there. The mountains are stretched east and west, and it feels like we're stopping here one by one as we go our way.
Yet the mountain ranges separating Croix territory on the south side are also apparently branched into the interior of Bizell territory, according to the demon. Could it be... I'm going to ask Croix after the instructions.
"Croix, the mountains on the north side... maybe there's something like mountains hitting each other?
"We will approach, but we will not bump into each other...... that mountain range has the significance of dividing Bizel's territory to a large extent. From the path, that mountain range is broken into a basin-like place, a plain in front of Bizell's home base."
"Do we have to go through that basin?
"Right. If Bizel was the last place he could pick you up outside of HQ, it would be there."
Looks like there's still some distance, but if there's a big fight there...? Croix took a small breath while whining in her chest.
"... apparently, Amel is approaching"
"Huh? Already?
"We are marching without thinking about the fatigue of the soldiers... are we deciding that we should rendezvous quickly, or are we just going to face to face and attack at once"
"As far as I'm concerned, it's both..."
"Maybe."
To me and Sophia's words, Croix sighs again.
"I wish you'd work hard in this good direction from time to time"
"Fair enough... there's no sign of the enemy at all, and you're going to be able to rendezvous"
At that time, the sound of holla shellfish echoed around. I thought it was an enemy attack for a moment, but this is...
"You're the Amels. Appearances are a lot more flashy."
Croix says. I'm flying directly above. When I focus my consciousness on the demon... there was an army approaching me.
Its beginning is undisputed, Amel. You probably discovered this one and whistled.
"Croix, are you at last?
"The battle with Bizell will be close. Mr. Luon, keep observing Bizell."
"Of course."
Croix moves out with the reply. Change course only slightly to rendezvous with Amel.
And we joined up with Amel - so far so good. But I don't think this is the end of it... the creeps still existed somewhere.
