Sword of the Philosopher

A journey to the ruins

The four of us started our journey, but the women were not troubled by the fact that they were sometimes familiar with the old days or they got unfamiliar, so they digested the itinerary smoothly and stepped into the first ruins.

Originally the ruins of the angels are hidden, but Devals provided us with the tools to be able to uncover them. So we were able to break in with it...

"Hmm, brilliantly nothing"

I shrug around the ruins.

For now, I'm here about the demons, but even the signs are immediately detectable, and at the current level, it's instantaneous killing, so it's not a problem. If there is just a danger that the building will collapse or something like that, I would like to ask you to forgive me, but without that, the exploration is going well. That said, there's nothing in the ruins that seems to be material, and I don't know what kind of facility this was.

"The angels here may have pulled it off."

Leese's remarks on the pretend. I tried to ask her what it meant, and she gave me an explanation.

"When an angel leaves this continent, he will leave with something he doesn't want to be seen... if it stays as a dossier, maybe an angel who fell in the middle of the road or something?

"What do you mean, halfway down the road?

"For example, when I was studying, the demons attacked me."

... I remember Anverate. Speaking of which, she was moving as a fallen angel to defeat Rostaldo, but would the root cause have to do with when she was acting as an angel?

Either way, there are numerous reports in the Alliance that we've dived into the ruins and gained artifacts, and we've also entered the ruins to gain them in the battle against the Demon King. So there will be cases where we are leaving supplies without pulling them off.

So I think it's unlikely that there will be zero results... but the worst case scenario is where the humans have already entered the investigation. If this is a survey team organized by the state, you can talk to the state and provide them with materials, and that's it, and maybe Devals is doing it... if it's a case like an adventurer diving into a ruin, it's not zero chance that the materials are destroyed, either. Even though they never deliberately destroy it, they unleash magic in the battle against demons, and in the aftermath of it... there are likely to be cases like that.

Let's hope there's material in the untouched ruins... and we'll keep looking into the ruins as we think about it.

- Actually, I did my own research on the ruins of angels.

Sophia opens her mouth as she examines the ruins.

"Sounds like some of them have been abandoned because they have not been investigated, even in sites where the location is known. There are several such sites in the place where we're going this time."

"Not investigated... you mean the adventurer showed no interest?

"Maybe it is. Or you can't beat a demon and turn back."

Don't you know why it was abandoned... so the search for this site ends in a short time and goes outside without fruit.

"I just didn't expect to get anything from the start, but this could be a tough future"

"I'm not expecting more from the head of heaven than I did."

And this is what Liese said.

"Looking for a possible place to get some information about the current situation 'God'... I wonder if that's the place"

"I guess so. I can't help but be in a hurry with all this. Whatever it is, let's head to the next ruin."

- That's how we travel. Although I feel a little bit like working hard due to the lack of results, the journey itself is relaxing, and I also wonder if this is a good idea.

I returned from the demonic world and was almost canned in the castle...... this journey is pretty good as a mood swinging connotation. Besides, it's been a long journey, so it's a great way to get your mind back.

"Where is the next place?

To Sophia's inquiry, I checked the materials.

"You're a little south of here. It's about half a day on foot... Sophia, by the way, we're out there exploring the ruins, but do we have a deadline or something?

"Nothing in particular. If there's only one thing to say, the ministers wanted us to come home as soon as possible."

"I can't help it there...... Speaking of which, I didn't ask Sophia about her job, but is it still hard?

"The job description has changed since before the demon king arrived."

I see, she looks like she's having a hard time with her...... but if I just said this, Sophia would come in and tell me to worry about herself.

I have a lot of work to do too... my immediate goal is to be able to get out of paperwork and prepare and empower myself properly for the battle against 'God'? We're not manned enough right now, and it's still going to take some time for the organization to become solid.

I just want to do it right by the time I get to the latest episode in the game...... and one topic from Reese when I think about it.

"Speaking of which, Luon, I've been wondering"

"What?"

"You haven't decided on the name of the organization we belong to, have you?

... the status quo organization, the "hero organization", that's how they call us. I've talked to him about what to do with the name, but I haven't decided on the official name after all because the castle's chief minister or something has been mentioned and confused.

"Oh, I'm thinking one day about that...... but I guess I'm not feeling too well if I don't make up my mind soon"

"Although I have to say that there is no obstacle without a name because it is not an organization that recruits people to a large extent..."

"I think you need a name"

This is Sophia's opinion.

"The organization will have more attachment and more sense of purpose. Your morale will rise."

"I don't know... it's been a long time since I founded the organization and it feels like it is now... but I'll talk to you soon about what to do."

As we wrap up the story, we aim for a place where the next ruins are located. At this rate, you'll be off today in your next lodging town.

Since we use carriages and such for travel, the atmosphere seems to be longer to travel than it is to dive into the ruins... the location of the ruins also exists in the south, so it may take longer than Devals can see.

Just relax because you don't have to rush this journey, albeit necessary and pressing... Sofia and the others are talking soothingly if you look beside them. It could be a good opportunity for them to refresh themselves.

Nevertheless, I'd like to earn even one of the achievements if possible... but with that in mind, we kept moving on to town.
