Sword of the Philosopher

Help of the Spirit

When I arrived on the coast, I called Garc first.

"Garc, about the means of travel."

"Oh, it looks like he's already here"

I notice one thing there. The spirits that soak up the sea directly in front - the Nereids.

"Use their power."

"... running even on the ocean?

"They can identify movements such as ocean currents and travel fast underwater. Magically raise it to the bottom... greatly increase the speed of travel '

is, uh, I see... can the Spirit move that way as well?

"There are many other means… This time it is easy to travel to a destination in order to take advantage of the current. The Nereids know all about the ocean. '

"I've been waiting for you"

One of the Nereids says hello to us. She has emerald-colored hair and looks like a woman about twenty years old wearing simple clothes.

"Beginning with Master Garc, I responded to the call of the divine spirits and came to the top. We're transferring you to the Zenas Islands."

And a token. After I responded, I pointed to the luggage I put on the dragon.

"That's with me, too, I mean... can we?

"Travel is done using magic. It constitutes a magic barrier and is treated in a way that prevents it from touching the sea water, so there seems to be no problem with the luggage."

Yeah, that sounds okay...... here's where Katie and the others ask Nereid some questions. Apparently, he has a lot to check on.

Sounds like a magical technical story, so for one second I decided not to talk... ask Garc.

"You don't have to stop from here, that's fine, right?

"Um, we can't cooperate any more... but if anything goes wrong with the call, I'll report it."

"I don't know if I can fulfill it in the labyrinth and contact you... but, okay. Whatever, please."

Finally, the Nereids are getting ready. In the meantime, we unpack from the dragon, put it on the beach and wait. Needless to say, Nereid created a magic barrier to the sphere.

Looks like a giant bubble... guiding us there. When I touched the barrier first, my arm penetrated lightly.

"Transmitted, but no problem?

"By changing the concentration of the magic barrier, we do things like crossing and blocking."

Yeah, I see. Does it vary by concentration... this is an interesting method.

Stepping in, only the ground felt stiff without touching the sandy beach. The walls seem to penetrate to increase concentration on the floor surface and keep feet off the ground.

Looks like you can put your stuff down for this... I'll invite my people inside. It's a big space, so there's plenty of room for us to go in and leave our bags and wait.

"What about the dragons?

I can make you wait here...... and Nereid replied, "You can do it".

"You need your feet on the way home, don't you? Extend the area and you'll be in enough."

Some black dragons are quite large... and the magic barrier swells between my thoughts.

That's enough to afford a black dragon even if it comes in. I thought it was too much, but, well, is this okay?

"Gentlemen, are you ready?

And Nereid asks. As we nodded together, the giant bubbles finally started to move.

The scenery is moving little by little without feeling vibrations, etc. I guess it could be described as a similar method to the movement of phantom beasts.

Eventually the bubbles sink into the sea. More and more went into the sea while watching, and by the time all the bubbles eventually sank, the shore was a long way off.

"Grab the current like this and move on all at once"

"Okay... you're the only ones who can use the means of travel, so you're gonna hang out with me to where I want to be?

"That's what happens, and I've heard that from Master Gark."

I told you not to have any problems without me for a few days.

Looks like Garc has rooted it out well here.

While doing so, Nereid told him that he was "almost there". Apparently, the current is just a few moments away... but in the ocean, it's hard to feel speed.

I found a flock of fish in the rear. Probably because of the magic barrier, they'll just play even if they come in this way.

"I'll be there."

That's the arrow tip Nereid told me - as soon as the fish herd was smaller and completely disappeared from sight. That speed sounds pretty good.

"We'll do magic control and so on, if you all take your time off. If you're in this space, you can put up a tent or something."

It seems like we need half a day or so, so we'll talk about what to do and get some rest first.

I'll try to set up a tent. The aid of Nereid allowed me to use piles and the like without having to fix the tent. This underwater magic is pretty convenient. Shall I make it for you next time? It would seem useful if it did.

"I have nearly half a day, so for now, I mean free time"

"What do you do with Luon?

Reese asks. Besides, I just figured it out a little bit.

"Once again, I'll try to remember the labyrinth. It may be harder to go home even if you have the supplies you need than you've come this far... but even if you realize something and can take action, you have to do it when you can afford it"

"Well... Okay, then who..."

"Please stop training me. I'd be in trouble if they got hurt or something right here."

"You have healing magic."

"You're gonna need magic for that, aren't you? It may be a small thing, but I don't know what depth, etc. on what scale with the labyrinth offense, and I need to save a little."

"Uh."

Indicates that Reese seems kind of nagging. Sofia and Eina laugh couscous at such a figure.

"You can't complain about what you can't do... so you need to rest"

It was all sorts of dissatisfaction, but eventually Reese obeyed reluctantly. It's impeccable about its prowess, but if there's a conflict of opinion with a riddle, it's going to take a while to discuss what to do. I guess I'll have to make good adjustments to make sure it doesn't happen.

That's why we're going to the destination with Nereid's help. Well, the Zenas Islands...... this is my first place right now. Besides, this time the labyrinth might not work just by pushing the force... we kept going by the currents with challenging enemies in mind -
