Sword of the Philosopher

Traps in the Labyrinth

- As for the battle from there, there was a decrease in the number and our unilateral development continued. There's basically nothing like this one being attacked without Magic Maygas, and it's not that hard to destroy enemies.

In doing so, I look around at the trends of my people. As for Sophia, she has further polished her swordsmanship, and Aina's aides are more accurate and agile than before. Can this be said to have improved judgment after training within the organization?

The fight we're about to take is a world that depends on a moment's judgment. So this progress could be huge...... well honestly, the level of Sophia and the others is definitely getting closer to Max in the game, so is this growth natural?

At the moment, Sophia feels that I'm not the only one in the organization. I wonder if it feels like I picked up a level max and used an item with an open cap. Mine looks like that from the start...

"Okay, you're done."

Reese's voice. Destroy all demons that were in the hall while thinking. It was a good thing it wasn't that hard to deal with because it was the demon we ran into so far for one second.

"Hopefully at this rate...... it's still going on, isn't it?

"Oh, yeah. Running through at this pace more than attacking fast...... I wish I had time off, but don't expect too much. Then let's go."

Proceed with the decree to the lower level. Next up... that's a maze.

"I magically confirm about traps etc... and this is..."

"That's a lot."

Kati shares her thoughts. Yeah, there's a trap in the aisle.

There are apparently traps that are activated by approaching the wall, and so on, from something of the kind that activates when you step on the floor. This is also what the game is all about, but when it comes to reality, it's a hassle.

"Can you disarm a trap?

Reese frowns and inquires.

"It's something that's treated with magic, so it's possible if you seal that magic up or extinguish it... right, it's easy to do about the technique, so if you think you can do it, why don't you use it?

I approach a trap that activates when I step on the floor. It's a trap a few steps down the stairs, about the effect... I just don't know. But I don't do stupid imitations to deliberately step on it and make sure.

"... power, let go"

Release the magic toward the trap. This is the magic that appeared in the third book of The Elders Sword, and the name remains "Trap Crash". If you consume some MP, you can unlock the magic trap you could discover.

Just a physical trap...... helpless about such things as pitfalls and arrow rain. In the game, physical traps were the majority of things that could damage HP, and the magic system was more of a harassment. Typical is sucking off MP, or getting electrocuted and paralyzed? It's just a healing item or something like a magic hanging from an ally that can be solved lightly, and there were a lot of cases where I pushed it back because it was easy to recover for the effects I received.

Producers may have had a tough time judging around here. If you increase the effect of the trap, it will be stressful, or if you weaken it, it will make no sense for the trap... in the case of the third one it was the latter. Most of all, in the labyrinth where we are now, we've given it all the trouble it takes, so if you consider that there are players who are supposed to see the hell out of it, you might say they're hooked on the producer's thoughts.

Anyway, my magic wipes out the trap. I tried stepping on the floor to try, but nothing happens.

"There shouldn't have been a physical trap in this labyrinth, so if you magically deactivate it once and for all, the trap won't be the first to activate... though, there may be traps I don't grasp, as there was an unscheduled bunch of demons in the hierarchy earlier. Don't get distracted."

"I guess I'll just have to unstrap it one by one in the aisle until I get to the next staircase -"

When Katie tried to ask for directions, she roared. Definitely in the voice of Silverlord...... it's still the fourth layer and no other demons seem to come out.

"Looks like the enemy is still the same, but beware of the demons in the rear guard... Now, what's the next staircase?"

Explore the magic... Yeah, I know where it is.

"All right, let's run through the shortest distance while defeating the demon. Deal with demons and traps if they show up in front of you. But watch out for signs in the area."

Silverload appears directly in front of us as we begin to move. But this time it seems to be the only one.

I've had multiple bodies before, but for some reason... there's a passage behind the devil, but I can't see any other companion-like presence after exploring the signs.

There is room for doubt, but I can't leave it alone, so I decide to take it down. The arrow tip I tried to move, Sophia came forward faster than anyone else.

"Sounds like you're acting alone. Defeat them by magic."

If she tells you so, use her left hand to activate Lightning. Thunderlight runs through the aisle and strikes directly at the demon.

I was shot through the chest, but the devil falls down lightly. Seems like he's figured out exactly how much output he can take down in the battle so far. Without wasting magic, defeat with the least amount of force you need… If you attack in a short time, these controls will work later. This neighborhood is great.

And about the devil, but if it's an enemy that emerges in solo action, there doesn't seem to be a problem... when I think about it, I realize.

Where the devil falls in. On that floor there is a floor with a trap enclosed.

"Ah..."

"Huh?"

Sophia listened back to my grunt. The arrowhead, the devil, fell in. Shortly afterwards, suddenly, I heard a chill.

It's a magic trap, but it's a mechanical sound... No, if magic activates the trick, could it also sound like this?

So, what happened next... the demon vanishes first. Then fuchsiu from the floor, and something like white mist began to erupt.

"Heh...?

Eina stares at the effect unintentionally. Exactly. The rest of us stare at the white fog.

Eh, that's just unexpected...... or there was no development in the game that demons appearing in the labyrinth would trap. This is perfectly normal.

So, what do I do with this? - I...

"One, evacuate for a moment! Probably fine though!

We retreat immediately. He traveled up to near the stairs and blocked the fog with a magic barrier.
