"Now, shall we experiment?"

Gin, standing on a meadow a short distance from the city, groaned so excitedly.

Today, the day after Elsa and I went hunting, Jin finally intends to experiment in magic with a view to mastering magic.

I've already loaded books borrowed from Aria in the last few days, and even Dan has taught me how to train magic, etc.

"All right, let's go, 'Fire'"

The "Fire" of life magic is used in the form of lighting a flame about the size of a lighter on the normal fingertips. Jin protruded his arm and chanted in the image of a flame of maximum magnitude. The magic of life, which was cast to confirm the safety of the surrounding area, lit a large flame, as imagined, just off the tip of the erected finger.

"Wow, that's amazing"

Jin felt the heat from the flames, which seemed likely for a few gas burners, on his face even as his arms were stretched. But it's strange that you don't feel hot around your nearest fingertips. And the flame went out in about 10 seconds, just like it did with the usual lighter.

"Okay, next..."

That's how Jin repeated some experiments. Can't you light it at any target point, not at your fingertips? What does power have to do with distance? Is it possible to be more powerful? Anything to squeeze the other way? What about increasing density and making it hotter? Do you ever prolong the effect? On the other hand, can shortening it make it more powerful? Experiments such as these were carried out while confirming the MP consumption and effect time at that time in the [menu].

As a result, it was found that "the effect range is about 5m max", "the power does not diminish until the distance of 1m, but it falls gradually beyond that", "the size of the flame and the high and low temperatures can be combined", "it is impossible to increase the effect time, but it is possible to shorten it. However, it does not affect power." "In every case, MP consumption is always 1."

I knew that some of them were possible with the magic mastery I heard from Dan and the books I borrowed from Aria, but I still made no mistake. In the fire magic practice Dan did, he said it would start with a candle 30 centimeters away from his fingertips, 50 centimeters away when it was done, and more and more places to light the fire.

Dan learned [basic magic] at 10 years of age earlier than normal, and besides this, he also practiced and studied languages. Jin also performs this kind of experiment and practice by combining that information with the information in the book he borrowed from Aria this time.

But it took Dan five years to get better, and Jin was able to do it easily this time. Jin thinks it's still because of his [Magic Manipulation LV: MAX] skills.

And that's not a mistake. In fact, Jin went easy, but usually even far away 2m is the limit, and only extremely small flames can be lit. Regardless of the size of the flame, it may be said that it is impossible to change the temperature. But Jin's skills make it possible.

And Jin likewise tried to use the basic magic of wind, water and soil respectively. They all vary slightly depending on their nature, but could be used without problems. Dare I say, "Fire" that produces fire and "Water" that produces water had the same sense of use. But "Wind" and "Earth" did not produce wind or dirt, but were slightly different in a place called the magic of moving air and dirt. But as a result, I was able to handle it without any problems.

And there's another thing that I found out about it, which is that the higher the number of INTs, the higher the maximum effect. This is a guess from the fact that we were able to release more water now that we have leveled it than we used in the showdown with Mad Ant Queen.

Jin thinks it would be someone with higher INT to say someone who occasionally has a greater effect than others who are there, said when he mastered basic magic in the temple. Besides, it explains the fact that Gin is able to produce flames the size of which is not at the lighter because of the high INT.

"Okay, now I should have learned the basics. Next is the spell."

Jin makes a certain assumption.

Skills are, first of all, the amount of knowledge and practice of the act is, to some extent, mandatory. And I was wondering if the more it was, the easier it would be to wake up. It is also assumed that a state of tension such as combat is the perfect environment for skill acquisition.

In fact, the skills that Jin has acquired in this world are mostly acquired in action. Even [swordsmanship] or [collection] of exceptions is convincing if you consider that you have mastered it with swordsmanship experience, knowledge of sampling studied in the Guild Library, and the practical effects repeated over and over again. So now that I've practiced magic in the same way, I wondered if the elementary magic of the four attributes in the book I borrowed from Aria could also be activated. I have [Language Settings] in order to activate the language, so I have no problem. Jin was almost certain of his success.

"Mana Flames, gather around and shoot our enemies, 'Fire Arrow'!

But the magic you chanted with such certainty doesn't activate.

"No, if you can't do it once, I'll have to repeat it."

I changed my mood even though I was a little depressed, and then Jin kept casting spells over and over again. But the result remained the same, and no matter how many spells I cast, I never activated it.

"Wow, don't be depressed. But it's not sweet."

I was just confident that this result was unfortunate for Jin. But being depressed doesn't change the outcome. Jin concluded that he had not practiced enough, and then went on to practice basic magic many times as he pinched his break.

"After all, it's the same as" Arts, "and I wonder if activation is impossible without mastering skills?

Practiced the basic magic over and over again, Jin got used to handling it quite well. Blue flames about 50 cm long can be released from the fingertips, water well used for washing cars and sprinkling water in the garden, and showers. You can also easily dig holes in the ground by winding as strong as a fan.

Jin thought I was pretty used to basic magic, but of course I'm not talking about where ordinary people get used to it if they see it.

However, even so proficient in [basic magic], Jin was unable to wake up to magic skills, as well as even activate primary spells.

"Uh-huh. You don't even feel comfortable."

One last time I chanted the 'Fire Arrow' of the elementary spell again, but I have no response at all. Even if mastery of [fire magic] is a trigger condition, Jin is also depressed by the current situation, where he doesn't even feel any signs of success.

"I guess I'll ask Aria. I wish I had some free time."

The time has just passed 3pm. It's only a matter of Aria's convenience, but Jin decided to sweeten Aria's words: "Teach if you don't understand".

As a result, Jin decided to go back to the city after cutting up voluntary practice before the guild became crowded. The herbs have been collected before practice, so head straight back to the city and head straight to the guild. Fortunately, the guild was relatively empty and Aria was seen at the reception.

"Hello, Aria. I'd like your usual collection request."

"Hello, Mr. Ginn. Yes, I accept."

First give the two herbs to Aria and ask for an assessment Gin. And wait for Aria to finish processing. But before waiting for it, Aria looked at Chirali and Jin's face and said, while processing the request.

"What's wrong with you? He said something."

Apparently Jin's face was honest.

"No, I was stuck with my magical mastery. I was wondering if Aria would give me a moment."

Jin also briefly describes the current situation. I tried the basic magic method and it worked. But I told him that the actual magic activation didn't work and he was stuck.

And within that, the request is processed, and Aria gives Jin the paperwork to talk to.

"Yes, this person will be the document completing the request first. Good luck. And time is better..."

And, so Aria confirms Samantha, who was at the reception next door with Chilari.

"Fine. 'Cause I'm not busy this time of year, and I'll be fine by myself for a while."

You were listening, Samantha agrees immediately.

"Thank you. Let's talk upstairs, Mr. Jin."

"Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you, Aria, Samantha"

Naturally Jin thanked Samantha as well as Aria, and Aria and I headed upstairs.

Regardless of Aria, Jin doesn't notice Samantha's silent ale. However, Jin was thankful and happy for the two people who would cooperate.

"Thank you so much for taking the time, Aria"

Jin first conveyed her gratitude to Aria as she entered the compartmented booth next to the library. I'm so glad you took the time out of your busy schedule.

"No, I'd love to help, so don't worry about it"

Aria also answers Gin honestly. However, could it not be Aria's maiden heart to say "if it could help Jin" more honestly there? There was just a grin on Aria's face answering that.

"Thank you"

To Aria's answer, Gin's grin also deepens. And a few moments later, he remembered the real deal, and Jin told Aria in a slight panic.

"Well, so the magic thing is, is there anything Aria can think of that might be causing this?

"I was listening to you earlier and I thought, can you tell me in detail what exactly you practiced and what level you achieved?

Aria also asks questions in order to answer Jin's questions and get a more specific picture. Jin nodded in his heart that it was best, and began to elaborate on what he had done today. Without realizing how insane that level is.

"It feels like... Personally, I think it went pretty well, but I didn't even feel the primary spell at heart responding."

……

Aria remained surprised by Jin's story. Wizards (magic users) usually use basic magic in their training, but Jin does things that they don't even do in that training. The length of the effective distance is also surprising, but the idea of changing the temperature of the flame was not in itself. Aria had done it before, but she never thought about changing it like a shower. Even the wind didn't think it was possible with basic magic to rotate and send, and it was unprecedented to dig holes in [ground], which had only been used to soften the hard ground at best. Aria marvels at the flexibility of Jin's idea and embarrasses herself for being tied to stereotypes. And at the same time, Aria felt herself heartened by the possibility of magic.

Normally, it's about the level of suspicion, but I don't feel suspicious for Aria because it's Jin we're talking about. All Aria felt was respect for Jin and only a slight fear.

"Mr. Jin. Did you tell this story to anyone else?

Breaking a long silence, Aria talks to Jin.

"No, I'm new to Aria"

"Really? So until I say I'm good with this story, could you not do it to anyone else?

That's what Aria explains why. What Jin is doing and ideas are out of standard. Perhaps some people have had that idea in the past, but in that case, it is a story of a level that has become a so-called secret. That what Jin can do is beyond the dimensions of what basic magic can do. That in some cases it may also be used as a magic to harm people. If that happens, it is highly dangerous because of the basic magic that anyone can use.

Jin also gets a little upset about the size of things. I didn't think it would be such a problem because of the problem with INT, but I can't deny that it could still cause confusion.

"Okay. I'll keep it a secret just for Aria and me."

That's why Jin promised.

"Yes. Thank you......"

When she heard it, Aria replied, upset. And I went on to mogomogo and squirm with a small voice in my mouth.

"... a secret just for the two of us"

Jin didn't hear what Aria whined about, but seeing how upset Aria was, she felt how hard it was to do what she did.

"It's okay. Don't worry, I'll keep it a real secret."

"Yes, sir"

Gin pushing so hard to reassure Aria, and Aria reacting to the word secret. Exactly. You can't blame Jin's bluntness here.

"So why didn't the spell activate when you could even say it was so out of standard?

For one thing, leave the secret aside and get back to the point, Jin. Aria also finally wakes up from paranoia and seriously thinks about why. Certainly not surprising to wake up to skill so far, if at all. So Aria realizes one possibility.

"Is there a problem with the magic language? If you don't understand the meaning of the area, it may not activate."

"Does magic language mean the keyword at the end of the spell?

"Yes, it is. For example, the magic of fire, Fire Arrow, means Fire Arrow, right? Likewise, all spells have a meaning, and it is important to understand their meaning properly. And when you activate it, you need to draw the letter properly in the back of your brain, but if it's ambiguous, it doesn't seem to activate."

It's all about my first ear to Jin. Sure, there was a language part of the book I borrowed, but Jin, who can normally read everything in Japanese in [language settings], may have read that part too often.

Jin takes out Aria's book and asks her to teach her the letter. And when I looked at the characters without setting [Language Settings], there were complex characters there that I had never seen.

"It's a pretty complicated letter, but you have to write this exactly, right?

Ginn asks Aria once and for all, wondering if half of them would be.

"Right. Anyone who actually aspires to be a wizard will study this letter long before they learn the magic of life. I'm still practicing magic characters in my habits, so it's something I've stained myself with."

With that said, Aria notices Zinn's reaction.

"Maybe Mr. Jin can't write magic letters?

Anything that interests a wizard is common sense to study magic letters for now. Neither did Aria think Jin could write magic letters.

"Yes......"

Gin's voice, answering so, was endlessly dark. Anyway, magic was one of Jin's dreams. That shock is huge because that's what I thought I could master without taking the time to do so.

Jin probably used basic magic because he didn't need magic characters and gained skills, including how to use them.

But general magic like [fire magic] is different. You need to study magic characters in order to acquire them, and they are the first difficult characters to see. Even if I could master it, I don't know how many years it would be ahead of me. As for Jin, who has a lot of other things to learn, I didn't feel like I could continue to study forever.

"It's okay! It'll take some time, but if you study now, you'll be able to use it someday."

Aria's encouragement is delightfully painful. The extent of the difference is so slightly overlapping between my past broken condition and my current situation. And at the same time, Jin noticed.

It's not like I've had a problem that doesn't heal my body like I did in the past. It's not that I've decided I can't master magic, but that if I try, I'm likely to be able to use it.

Thinking about it, Jin can tell herself what she was seriously worried about. The point is to do it or not. And as a gin of young people who reflect on the past and live in the present, there is no alternative to doing it.

"Yes! Aria, it may take some time, but I won't give up and try to study. Thanks for the encouragement."

That's why Jin laughed at Aria for saying that. Then Aria specifically taught me how to study, etc., and decided to study every day at least a little bit. That's how I studied magic letters with Aria during the time that Aria allowed.

It was supposed to be a one-time life, but I had a second life unexpectedly.

It is now time for Jin to live hard and continue to be happy from the beginning.

Believe me that's the best way to show my gratitude.
