Shen Yanzhi awkwardly rubbed the tip of his nose. "Alright, alright. We still have to eat. Can’t let the mood be spoiled."

Jiang Li’s lips curled into a smirk. "So, am I supposed to thank you for your boundless imperial grace?"

Shen Yanzhi waved his hand dismissively. "No need for that."

Glancing at the screen, she saw many people asking who the other person was.

Jiang Li didn’t try to hide it. "My husband."

She had never planned on becoming an internet celebrity anyway. She was only livestreaming to set the record straight, so there was no reason to hide anything.

Shen Yanzhi, however, was taken aback. He hadn’t expected Jiang Li to announce his status to her entire stream just like that.

But his surprise didn’t last two seconds. Grinning from ear to ear, he opened Jiang Li’s stream and immediately dropped a hundred "Carnivals."

Jiang Li shot Shen Yanzhi a suspicious look. "This ’user5786358’... is that you?"

Shen Yanzhi simply smiled without answering. Jiang Li rolled her eyes in exasperation. "Seriously? You threw away three hundred thousand just like that? Why not just give the money to me instead?"

’Spendthrift!’

’A complete and utter spendthrift!!!’

’He just handed over 150,000 to the platform. With that much money, she could eat out until she puked.’

Seeing Jiang Li’s dark expression, Shen Yanzhi licked his lips and cautiously ventured, "So... should I transfer 300,000 to you now?"

Jiang Li closed her eyes. "Get lost. I don’t want to look at you."

Jiang Li was furious, but the live comments were going wild, shipping them like crazy. Everyone was asking who her husband was and begging him to show his face.

Of course, a few "geniuses" had already found and followed Shen Yanzhi’s Douyin account.

Even if Jiang Li didn’t say a word, there was no guarantee some clues wouldn’t slip out.

Shen Yanzhi soothed, "Come on, don’t be angry. Let’s eat first. Once we’re full, you can punish me however you like."

Jiang Li’s lips curled. ’How else could I punish him? By making him sleep in the guest room, of course!’

’Any other punishment would be meaningless to him anyway. Making him sleep in the guest room ought to teach him a lesson he won’t forget.’

After Guo Yao entered the main dining hall and found a seat, she scanned the room but saw no sign of Jiang Li.

Her eyes landed on the closed doors of the private rooms to the side, and she muttered, "That bitch. Don’t tell me she’s in a private room?"

A server, likely noticing how Guo Yao was searching around the moment she walked in, immediately approached her. "Ma’am, can I help you with something?"

Guo Yao gritted her teeth. "Do you have any private rooms available?"

"I’m sorry, they’re all taken!"

Unwilling to give up, Guo Yao pressed, "Not even if I pay extra?"

The server nodded. "Even for more money, there are none."

Taking a deep breath, she said, "I see. I’m just going to use the restroom."

The server pointed. "The restrooms are over there. Please watch your step."

Guo Yao nodded and started walking in the direction of the restrooms.

But the moment she was out of the server’s sight, she immediately doubled back. She refused to believe she wouldn’t be able to find Jiang Li today.

She walked up to the door of one of the private rooms and found it was solidly built and soundproofed. She couldn’t hear a single thing from inside.

Desperate to find Jiang Li, Guo Yao threw caution to the wind. She knocked once, then immediately burst through the door.

But the room was filled with burly, rough-looking men. When Guo Yao burst in, they all turned to stare at her. "Who’re you lookin’ for?"

Guo Yao couldn’t help but swallow. "Sorry, wrong room."

Although Guo Yao’s face was currently a frightening sight, to a group of brutes like this, she was a piece of meat that had just stumbled into a wolf pack. How could they possibly just let her leave?

A large, powerfully built man stood up, rubbing his hands together. "Well now, since you’re here, why don’t you stay and have a drink with us boys?"

Guo Yao had never encountered a situation like this and was about to burst into tears from fright. "Sirs, I really, truly am in the wrong room."

The man slung an arm around Guo Yao’s shoulders. "Then this must be fate."

He then dragged Guo Yao back to the table and roughly shoved her into a seat. The force made Guo Yao grimace in pain. The man pointed to a plate of uncooked food for the grill. "See anything you wanna eat?"

However, another man at the table saw her grimace and thought she was looking down on them. He slapped her hard across the face. "You stinking bitch, what’s that look supposed to mean?"

Her face was already swollen to the size of a pig’s head, and this slap only added insult to injury.

Guo Yao felt a sharp pain in her face, and even her teeth ached.

’If I had known this would happen, I should have just waited outside,’ she thought. ’At least then nothing would have happened to me.’

The man holding her down clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Number Five, what’s with you? Why so irritable?"

The man called Number Five shot back irritably, "You didn’t see the look she just gave us."

The first man gently caressed Guo Yao’s swollen face. "Women, you see... if they don’t behave, you just have to beat them. If one beating doesn’t work, give them another. They learn to listen eventually."

Guo Yao trembled, terrified by the man’s words. ’Compared to those rich playboys, these men wouldn’t show the slightest bit of mercy.’

Desperate to avoid another beating, Guo Yao quickly grabbed an empty glass and poured herself a drink. "My bad, big brothers. I was being foolish. Allow me to drink this as an apology. I hope you won’t hold it against your little sis."
