Zhong Xu had been worried he wouldn’t be able to close the deal, but in less than half a day, there was good news.
About twenty minutes later, the three of them arrived at the hotel entrance just as Zhong Xu was walking out, contract in hand.
He was a little surprised to see Jiang Li and called out, "Boss?"
Jiang Li paused for a moment, then snapped her fingers. "Perfect timing. Go tell the hotel manager that from now on, this hotel will be our company’s employee dormitory. It won’t be accepting any outside guests."
She had originally planned on finding the manager herself when she arrived, but running into Zhong Xu saved her the trouble.
Zhong Xu’s eyes widened slightly. "An employee dormitory?"
Jiang Li explained, "Well, I was thinking about our employees from out of town, and those who live a bit far from the office. Having an employee dormitory would make things more convenient for everyone."
Hearing this, Zhong Xu’s lip twitched. ’This is 800 trillion we’re talking about!’
And she was just turning it into an employee dormitory!
’Does Jiang Li have mountains of gold and silver at home or something? How else could she afford to be so extravagant?’

Zhong Xu nodded in understanding, then presented the contract to Jiang Li with both hands. "Here’s the contract. You should hold onto it."
After Jiang Li took the contract, Zhong Xu said, "I’ll go find the hotel manager right now."
He happened to have the manager’s contact information, so at least he wasn’t flying blind.
Jiang Li nodded. "Okay, go on. I’ll take them to get a couple of rooms."
The group headed into the hotel. Zhong Xu went off to find the manager, parting ways with the three women at the front desk.
The receptionist, who hadn’t received any notice, sat up straight and put on a professionally pleasant smile. "Hello, what kind of rooms can I get for you three today?"
Jiang Li replied, "Two standard rooms, preferably adjoining."
"Our standard rooms are 1,400 a night, so that’ll be 2,800 for two."
"How will you be paying?"
Jiang Li cleared her throat. "Um... miss, you probably haven’t gotten the memo yet. This entire hotel is now the employee dormitory for Dream Maker. Staff stays are free of charge."
The receptionist frowned. "What Dream Maker? What employee dormitory? Are you three trying to get a free room or something?"
She looked Jiang Li up and down. "You’re pretty and all dressed up, so why are you acting so shady?"
Jiang Li was taken aback by the receptionist’s hostility. It was Zhao Jingyi who retorted, clearly displeased, "Hey, can’t you understand plain English? We already told you this hotel is Dream Maker’s employee dormitory. You think we’re lying?"
Xia Mengxue nodded in agreement. "Our boss just spent 800 trillion to buy this hotel. As a receptionist, you naturally wouldn’t be aware of upper-level decisions."
The receptionist sneered. "Eight hundred trillion? Why not say eight hundred quadrillion while you’re at it?"
"It’s not that I’m looking down on you, but the three of you combined would have a hard time scraping together a million, let alone hundreds of trillions."
Jiang Li said nothing and simply presented the contract.

Zhao Jingyi rolled her eyes. "Take a good, long look. This is the acquisition contract."
The receptionist took the contract nonchalantly, but when she saw the amount and the names of the parties involved, she froze on the spot.
While she didn’t know who Jiang Li was, she certainly knew her boss’s name. Moreover, the contract bore the official company seal.
After checking the contract several times and confirming it was real, she looked up at Jiang Li in disbelief. "You’re... the new boss?"
It was obvious just by looking at the three of them that Jiang Li was the one in charge.
Jiang Li nodded. "I’m Jiang Li."
The color instantly drained from the receptionist’s face.
’Oh, God. I offended the new boss the moment she arrived. Am I going to keep my job?’
While the receptionist’s mind was racing, Jiang Li gave a slight smile. "Relax, I’m not going to fire you."
’There’s no blame when you’re uninformed,’ she thought. Besides, the receptionist hadn’t really done anything out of line.
She wasn’t a petty person, so there was no need to hold a grudge.
Hearing that she wasn’t going to be fired, the receptionist breathed a sigh of relief. Only then did Jiang Li ask, "So, can you help us with those rooms now?"
