Chapter 110 - 48: As a Woman, She Has Her Pride
After finishing the wedding photoshoot, they changed back into their regular clothes, visited two more attractions, and had dinner out.
By the time they got back to the hotel, it was already past nine p.m. Jiang Li was completely wiped out. She showered and went straight to bed.
When Shen Yanzhi came out of the shower, Jiang Li was already fast asleep.
Shaking his head with a helpless smile, he tucked the covers in for Jiang Li, tossed their dirty clothes into the washer-dryer, and then got into bed himself.
After two straight days of photoshoots, Jiang Li’s face was practically frozen from smiling.
No wonder everyone says photoshoots are exhausting.
’I used to think they were exaggerating, but after experiencing it for myself, I realize how naive I was.’
Even without having to strike specific poses, just the walking and smiling was exhausting enough, to say nothing of sightseeing on top of it.
So by the end of their trip to Europe, Jiang Li stated unequivocally, "Let’s just stick with the five sets of wedding photos. That’s more than enough."
"Didn’t we say we’d shoot a few sets at each location?"
Jiang Li gave a wry smile and waved her hand dismissively. "I really overestimated myself."
I’ve been waking up before the chickens and going to bed after the dogs.
She leaned in close to Shen Yanzhi and pointed to her eyes. "Look at my dark circles. I could practically be a panda."
Shen Yanzhi swallowed hard. In the end, he couldn’t resist. With a SMACK, he planted a kiss on Jiang Li’s lips.
’They’d both been so tired the past couple of days, passing out the moment their heads hit the pillow. It had been a few days since they’d gotten intimate, and he was starting to feel an itch that needed scratching.’
Shen Yanzhi had intended it to be a quick peck, but Jiang Li wasn’t having it. She threw her arms around his neck.
They kissed, lost in each other, inseparable, oblivious to their surroundings.
Their kiss turned fierce, passionate, as if their lives depended on it.
"Whoa~"
Hearing the voice, Jiang Li immediately shoved Shen Yanzhi away and buried her head in his chest.
’So embarrassing. This is just too embarrassing.’
’It’s all Shen Yanzhi’s fault. Why does he have to be so handsome? It makes me lose all self-control.’
Knowing Jiang Li was embarrassed, Shen Yanzhi let out a genuine laugh. "It’s fine. They don’t know us. As long as we’re not the ones feeling awkward, they are."
Jiang Li pinched his waist. "Alright, stop talking. No one will think you’re a mute if you just keep your mouth shut."
Shen Yanzhi glanced at his watch. "Let’s go, boarding is about to start."
Jiang Li peeked up and saw that no one was paying them any attention. Only then did she pull away from his embrace. "You’re really something else. You could have told me no one was looking."
Shen Yanzhi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. "My mistake. I’ll be more mindful next time."
Jiang Li’s face flushed red, and she reflexively touched her burning ears. "There won’t be a next time!"
’She had been bewitched by Shen Yanzhi. Why else would she have kissed him back in public like that?’
’In any case, she would never admit that she had been so reluctant to let go because Shen Yanzhi’s lips were so soft and supple, like eating jelly.’

So, once they were on the plane, Jiang Li closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep, feigning ignorance about the whole thing.
As it turned out, she ended up actually falling asleep.
When she woke up, there was drool at the corner of her mouth, and she quickly wiped it away.
She glanced at Shen Yanzhi’s shoulder out of the corner of her eye and breathed a sigh of relief.
’She had been afraid her drool had gotten on his shoulder. That would have been way too humiliating.’
Just like in Europe, Shen Yanzhi had already booked a car and hotel in advance.
Even though Jiang Li didn’t want to take any more wedding photos, a local guide was still necessary.
In Europe, they had David, so they could be completely hands-off. They didn’t have to worry about a thing, other than paying.
It was almost 8 p.m. by the time they finished checking in. After handing their luggage to the staff, Shen Yanzhi took Jiang Li’s hand. "I’ve booked a restaurant. Let’s go get something to eat."
Jiang Li yawned. "Wait, why would you book a restaurant this late? We could’ve just had some instant noodles."
Shen Yanzhi said with a straight face, "Absolutely not. We’re on vacation, after all. We have to try the local cuisine."
Jiang Li thought about it and agreed. She lifted her chin. "Alright then, let’s go."
After leaving the hotel, Shen Yanzhi got behind the wheel. Jiang Li asked curiously, "Is it far?"
Shen Yanzhi glanced at the GPS. "Not too bad. Only about six or seven kilometers."
Jiang Li nodded and looked out the window. "Is today a special occasion or something?" she asked, puzzled. "It seems like there are so many people out."
"For us, it’s New Year’s Day. For them, it’s the New Year."
