Chapter 73 - 36: Zhao Jingyi and Xia Mengxue 2
Jiang Li nodded with certainty. "No matter what their asking price is, as long as we can buy the hotel, money is no object."
"Consider this your first assignment. If you can’t handle it, you don’t need to continue as my assistant."
Upon hearing this, Zhong Xu immediately puffed out his chest. "Boss, rest assured. I’ll make sure this gets done perfectly."
’A six-figure monthly salary, plus all sorts of benefits... Even if it costs me my life, I have to buy this hotel.’
Jiang Li waved her hand. "Go on."
"Once you’ve settled on a price, just send me the owner’s payment details. You don’t need to worry about the rest."
Zhao Jingyi and Xia Mengxue couldn’t help but look at Jiang Li, thinking the same thing: ’This boss is on another level!’
’Buying a five-star hotel on a whim, without even caring about the price.’
Once Zhong Xu was gone, Jiang Li glanced at the meager leftovers in the pot. After confirming no one wanted any more, she stood up. "Alright, let’s go buy the equipment."
’If these two want to be influencers, they’ll definitely need good equipment.’
’I don’t know much about this stuff, so it’s best to leave it to the professionals.’
’After all, you can’t go wrong letting professionals handle their area of expertise.’
Shen Yanzhi had come by car, but it was a two-seater.
Now with Zhao Jingyi and Xia Mengxue joining them, Shen Yanzhi had to drive alone while Jiang Li and the other two took a cab.
Partway there, she got a call from Shen Yanzhi. He said he had something to take care of and would be a little late.
"If you’re busy, you don’t have to come at all. It’s actually less convenient with you around."
They arrived at the Capital City’s largest electronics market. The place was bustling with activity.
Jiang Li’s eyes immediately landed on the largest storefront, and she led the other two straight for it.
Just as Jiang Li was about to enter, Zhao Jingyi grabbed her arm and whispered, "Jiang Li, maybe we should find a smaller shop? Things in a store this big are sure to be expensive."
They believed that big stores were notorious for ripping off customers.
Jiang Li patted the back of Zhao Jingyi’s hand reassuringly. "We’re here to buy you the best equipment. I wouldn’t even consider the cheap stuff."
With that, she ignored their protests and swaggered into the store.
Perhaps because the three of them looked so young, they wandered around the store for a good while without anyone offering to help.
Jiang Li tapped her index finger on the glass counter. "Is anyone going to help us?"
A man standing nearby, engrossed in his phone, looked up in annoyance at her words. "Can’t you see I’m busy? If you’re buying something, just tell me the specs."
Jiang Li frowned. "If I already knew the specs, why would I have come to the store?"
"Or is a big store like this one completely self-service?"
Jiang Li’s powerful aura, imposing without a hint of anger, left the man momentarily stunned.
When he recovered, he said dismissively, "How am I supposed to know if you’re actually going to buy anything? I’d rather not waste my time."
’After all, with so many stores in this entire electronics market, if you waste time on everyone, you’ll lose out on real sales. It’s better to prioritize the customers who actually look like they can afford to buy something.’
’As for the others, they’re on their own.’
Jiang Li rolled her eyes. Her gaze fell upon a megaphone nearby. In a single bound, she was there, raising it to her lips. "IS THERE ANYONE IN THIS STORE WHO CAN ACTUALLY HELP A CUSTOMER?"
Her voice didn’t just fill the entire store; it probably echoed throughout the whole electronics market.
Everyone’s head snapped in their direction. Seeing it was just three young women, they started murmuring amongst themselves, their words full of criticism.
"Young lady, what do you think you’re doing? Grabbing their megaphone like that... Don’t tell me you’re from a rival store, here to cause trouble?"
"Shouting through a megaphone in someone else’s store? What kind of behavior is that? Can’t you just talk things out normally? Why resort to this? If you’re looking for attention, this isn’t the way to do it."
"She’s such a pretty girl, why is she doing something so outrageous? What has the world come to?"
Jiang Li took a deep breath and scoffed. "I came here to buy something. Not only was I ignored, but I was also spoken to rudely. Am I not allowed to solve the problem my own way?"
"Or perhaps," Jiang Li’s gaze swept across the crowd, "is this store’s policy to only serve the wealthy?"
Even though Jiang Li had a valid point, someone in the crowd still played the contrarian. "But still, you can’t just shout through a megaphone like that. How are they supposed to do business?"
Jiang Li smiled, took her phone out of her purse, and tapped on the screen for a moment.
Suddenly, a pleasant electronic voice cut through the music playing over the store’s speakers: "Alipay payment received: one million yuan."
Jiang Li put her phone away. "Well? Am I still affecting their business now?"
