It dawned on Jiang Li. ’I have to send Liu Qian a red packet,’ she thought. ’She’s been so incredibly thoughtful.’

The office was also more lavish and impressive than she had imagined.

The dopamine-colored walls, while a bit bold, were full of personality and much more interesting than the monotonous black, white, and gray.

Seeing the flustered look on the receptionist’s face, Jiang Li gave a reassuring wave and said, "We’re just here to take a casual look around. You can go back to your work."

The receptionist nodded. "Of course. President Jiang, Mr. Shen, please take your time."

The moment they turned to leave, she immediately fired off a message to the main company group chat: "Attention all units, the bosses are here!"

The previously quiet group chat instantly blew up.

Everyone was discussing what the boss’s husband looked like.

Although Liu Qian had shown the receptionist photos of Jiang Li and Shen Yanzhi, they hadn’t been shared with the entire company, so not everyone knew what they looked like.

After seeing the receptionist’s message in the group chat, Liu Qian quickly put down her work and hurried over to greet them. "Sister Jiang, Brother Shen!"

Jiang Li didn’t want to cause a big scene; she had only come for a quick look. She waved at Liu Qian. "Go on, get back to your work."

Liu Qian nodded. "Would you like me to show you to your office?"

Jiang Li shook her head. "No need."

’If I go straight to the office, what’s the point of coming here at all?’

To prevent the employees from gathering around to gawk at her like a zoo animal, Jiang Li added, "And tell them to just carry on as usual. No special welcome, and no need to put on a show."

Liu Qian understood. "Got it, I’ll arrange it right away!"

After turning to leave, she immediately relayed Jiang Li’s instructions in the group chat.

So, by the time Jiang Li and Shen Yanzhi walked into the main office area, everyone was at their station, sitting bolt upright as if they were all wearing posture correctors.

Because Jiang Li hadn’t been sure which direction the company should take, she had delegated decision-making power to her six assistants right after it was founded.

As a result, the company was now involved in a wide range of ventures.

They had recruited talent from various industries. While none were the absolute cream of the crop, they were all very competent.

In the time since the company’s founding and the completion of its renovations, they had already landed several contracts.

The revenue wasn’t huge, but it was a very promising start.

Aside from the wall colors, basically everything had been decorated according to Jiang Li’s preferences.

Even the restrooms were customized, with the women’s having two more stalls than the men’s.

After a tour of the floor, she finally entered her office.

Unlike the dopamine decor outside, Jiang Li’s office was done in a soft, creamy style.

It had large floor-to-ceiling windows with a tatami platform next to them. On the platform were two throw pillows, and below it lay a thick, plush rug—a perfect spot for basking in the sunlight.

To one side was an L-shaped leather sofa, with a Nordic-style coffee table in the center and a snack cabinet nearby.

Her desk was nearly three meters long. On it sat an Apple desktop computer on a pink mouse pad, flanked by two potted cacti.

Behind the desk was a large, built-in bookcase equipped with a facial recognition lock, so there was no need to worry about documents being stolen.

Behind the bookcase was a private lounge, about 50 square meters. Though not huge, it was fully equipped.

In addition to a bed, it even had its own private bathroom.

Jiang Li was completely and utterly won over.

If she had been unsure about who to make her executive assistant before, Jiang Li was now certain.

The position of executive assistant belonged to Liu Qian and no one else.

Shen Yanzhi, who had witnessed the entire tour, couldn’t help but remark, "After seeing your company’s decor, I suddenly don’t feel like going upstairs."

Jiang Li sat in her executive chair, spinning happily. "I remember you were overseeing things for a while. Don’t you want to check on the results?"

Shen Yanzhi shook his head. "Forget it. There’s no point. I’ll be working from home for the next year or so anyway, so it doesn’t matter whether I see it or not."

Jiang Li was just over a month pregnant. People say a pregnancy lasts ten months, so she still had over eight months to go.

And after giving birth, there was still the postpartum confinement period.

As her husband, he felt he had to at least take care of her through her confinement before he could even think about going back to the office.

Besides, just as Jiang Li said, a boss needs to learn how to take a step back and delegate.

You shouldn’t shoulder everything yourself. The whole point of paying assistants a high salary is to make your own life easier.

Jiang Li shrugged. "Suit yourself, then~"

With that, she looked down, took her phone out of her bag to send Liu Qian a message, and then placed it face down on the desk.

Less than three minutes after she sent the message, Liu Qian knocked and entered. "Sister Jiang, did you need something?"
