Clover's Promise [In the case of Sophia and Gilbert]

Sophia was sitting on a fluffy lawn, gathering clover flowers and knitting flowers.

Gilbert, sitting next to him, peeks interestingly at Sophia.

The gentle early summer sunshine in this place is like a dream scenery. When the wind blows, a wave rises in the grass and pulls back. On the border of the blue sky and the lawn, the city in the distance looked cute.

Sophia and Gilbert were making a stop at a park along the way as they made their way back to the capital after the wedding. I have an inn nearby tonight, so I won't be in a hurry.

This park seems to be under the protection of the lord. A little further away, the children were playing, and the adorable laughter resounded.

Sophia raised her face to Gilbert's gaze. Gilbert's eyes turned towards it as if he was the first child to see magic.

"... have you ever seen it?"

“Yeah, I didn't spend much of that time when I was little.”

Gilbert said so without moving his gaze. Sophia smiles, happy that she's making Gilbert look like that.

"Is that so?" If that's the case... please wait a moment. "

Then, Sophia increased her knitting speed, leaving it to the senses she remembered. The white flowers are lined up in a gulp, like a large string. I wrapped it round and wrapped it around the edges.

I got it.

With a sense of accomplishment, Gilbert and I looked at each other head-on. Your heart is bouncing.

What is this?──

"I'm going to make flowers. Once upon a time, my mother taught me... I thought I'd miss them."

It's something that kids make for fun, but Sophia herself is convinced. I didn't think it would be embarrassing to show it to Gilbert.

“Well done”

Gilbert stares at Sophia to make sure she keeps it.

A soft breeze passes between the two of them.

Sophia gently pulled her body to fill the gap and put the raised flower kanmuri on Gilbert's head. Somehow, it was more perfect than I could have imagined.

"Sofia..."

"Fufu. Master Gilbert, you're cute..."

Sophia unexpectedly laughed.

The white flowers are well reflected in the silver hair. The light of the sun made the difference, and in Sophia's eyes, Gilbert looked like the king of fairy lands.

However, Gilbert removes the flowers and tries to put them on Sophia's head.

"Sophia looks better."

"How dare you──!"

After a small offensive, a flower was placed on Sophia's head. But Sophia made it for Gilbert, and it's too big for Sophia. Gilbert laughed tinyly in the back of his throat as he stopped lower than he should have.

Sofia took off the flowers and placed them on the side.

"Can you make another one for me?" I'll do it while I watch. "

Master Gilbert?

Sophia tilts her head. Gilbert nodded and looked at the flowers.

“Oh, it's Sophia's most important memory.”

I was taught how to make this when Sophia's parents were alive. It was when Sophia, who was devoid of magic, was still cherished in a calm and warm home, without knowing how hard it was.

Little memories my mother taught me. Sophia's chest burns to Gilbert, who naturally says it's important.

"Thank you..."

"I'm the one who teaches you."

Gilbert narrowed his eyes softly to Sophia, who inadvertently said thank you.

Sofia quickly gathered flowers again with Gilbert. Now that we have gathered a little, we will start making it easier for Gilbert to see it by closing the distance than before.

Gilbert carefully knitted as he looked at Sophia's hand as she moved slowly.

"Yes, that's right. Now... here's the flower... Ah, yes. And then...──"

"I see.... I wonder?"

Whether Gilbert was originally dexterous or not, he was the first to get used to it, but as soon as he got used to it, he moved his fingers. Sophia was surprised to see Gilbert's side as he enthusiastically made flowers.

You're good at this, aren't you?

It looks like a magic circuit.

Gilbert answers briefly.

"Ah... by the way..."

Sophia was told that and soon realized it. Certainly, many magic device circuits repeat the same pattern or are made of metal.

The bracelets and proprietary magic tools that Gilbert always wears are either made by Gilbert himself or processed into something commercially available. It seems that it is more difficult to keep the flowers close together than it is to keep the flowers close together.

Sophia convinced herself and gazed back at the flowers she was making. I knitted the rest, and then stopped my hand at the point where I was just putting it together.

What about the end?

After a while, Gilbert asked Sophia. Sophia teaches Gilbert while holding the edge of her flowers.

"This is where you tie it." Turn around and do it like this.... "

Gilbert imitated Sophia and completed the flower kanmuri.

You did it.

Gilbert finished it and placed it on Sophia's head. This time, the size was perfect and it didn't fall off.

Sophia placed her flower kanmuri on her lap and touched the flower kanmuri gently on her head. The sensation of a slightly cooled plant rubs through your fingertips.

"Are you sure you want to... me?"

"I made it for that. Sophia made this, and I want it."

Gilbert, smiling with satisfaction, snatches a new flower from Sophia's lap.

“What are you going to do?”

If you take it home and process it, you'll be able to decorate it.

Sophia smiles at Gilbert's words.

Sophia put the flower kanmuri she had made on Gilbert's head again. Gilbert does not resist and accepts it honestly.

I was happy. Sophia has been happy with Gilbert for a long time. Sophia gently took it to her heart that it was happy, a little scary, and important.

"Thank you──, fufu"

What's the matter?

Gilbert tilts his neck in a small way at the leaky laughter. Sophia continued to speak, covering her mouth with her hand.

"Somehow, it looks like a child... fufufu"

It was innocent, calm, and fun.

Just like the children running around, they are smiling naturally.

Gilbert grabbed Sophia like she couldn't resist. Sophia is gently trapped by her arm turning around her back.

"──Stay with me."

"Yes, I will always be at your side."

Sophia answers and turns her hand to Gilbert's back.

The wind blew through the two of them.
