The Academy's NTR Villain

Chapter 29: What Lucien Doesn’t Give Her

Lucien arrived exactly on time.

That was always his first move. Punctuality. He knocked twice, soft and even, then waited in the doorway of Celestia’s private suite with his hands folded behind his back and a warm smile already in place.

He looked like a painting.

Golden hair brushed back without a single strand out of place. White dress coat with the imperial crest stitched in silver thread at the collar. His blue eyes were careful and kind. Genuinely kind. Not faked.

That was the part Celestia found hardest to deal with.

"You look tired," Lucien said. He stepped inside and closed the heavy oak door behind him.

"I didn’t sleep well." She gestured toward the small sitting table near the window. "The tea is ready."

He sat across from her. The academy grounds spread out below the window, green and grey under a cloudy afternoon sky. Somewhere across the West Courtyard a training bell rang twice, its metallic chime echoing across the wet flagstones.

Lucien poured his own cup and set the ceramic pot back carefully. He looked at her the way he always looked at her. Patient. Steady. Like she was something rare worth protecting.

"You heard about the dungeon squads," he said. Not a question.

"This morning." Celestia wrapped both hands around her cup. The ceramic was warm. She needed something warm. "Our names are on the same roster."

"Yes." Lucien nodded slowly. "Floor Twelve this term. I already spoke to the Expedition Commander about adjusting your support position so you aren’t in the first clearing wave."

She looked at him over the rim of her cup. "You went to the Commander without asking me?"

"You’re my fiancée, Celestia. Of course I did."

He said it simply. Like it was nothing. No pride in it, no performance. Just the plain fact of what he thought his duty was as the First Prince of the Empire.

Celestia looked back at the window.

She tried to feel something warm about that. She tried to find the comfort in it the way she used to find comfort in Lucien’s careful attention two years ago when their formal engagement was first announced by the High Council.

She found nothing. Just a hollow, numb quiet inside her chest.

The room was silent. The herbal tea sat between them, steam rising in thin white coils, and the afternoon light came grey and flat through the glass. Lucien talked about the expedition roster. He talked about the dungeon’s unstable mana readings on the lower floors. He explained the strategic benefit of keeping House Raine’s first daughter safely positioned in the rear ward behind the knight vanguard.

He talked the whole time with his hands folded neatly on the wooden table.

He never reached across it.

He never touched her wrist when he leaned forward to make a point. He never brushed her fingers when she set her cup down near his. He kept a clean, respectful distance across every inch of that small table, the way a high noble was expected to keep distance from his promised partner before the formal imperial wedding ceremony.

He was following the rules.

He was always following the rules.

"House Raine’s reputation will be secure," Lucien added, taking a small sip of tea. "My father already signed the approval for the rear guard formation. You won’t have to face any unexpected monster surges."

"I am a trained third-tier elementalist, Lucien," she said quietly. "I don’t need to be hidden behind shields."

"It isn’t about hiding you," he answered smoothly, his voice dropping into that calm, reassuring tone that always sounded like a speech prepared for an audience. "It’s about keeping what belongs to our future safe. I won’t let anything harm you down there."

What belongs to our future.

The phrase sat heavy in the air between them. Celestia stared down into her tea. The reflection of her own face looked pale, quiet, and distant.

---

Forty minutes later Lucien stood at the door.

He bowed his head slightly, the way he always did. "Rest more tonight if you can. The expedition training starts the day after tomorrow."

"I will."

He smiled once, soft and clean. "I’ll pick you up before the morning assembly."

Then he turned and stepped through the doorway.

The heavy door clicked shut.

Celestia stood in the middle of her sitting room and listened to his boots tap down the marble corridor outside until the sound died away completely.

She counted to thirty.

Then she walked to her bedroom, pushed the door shut behind her, and sat on the edge of the bed. She pressed both palms flat against the front of her skirt.

Her breathing was too fast. It had been too fast the whole time he was here.

Not because of Lucien.

Because every minute he had sat across from her, talking in his smooth, polite voice, her mind had been somewhere else.

---

She lay back slowly on the mattress and stared at the stone ceiling.

Her room was the best in the high-noble wing. Wide. Quiet. Expensive tapestries on the two side walls, deep blue with House Raine’s silver star pattern woven into the fabric. A carved wooden wardrobe her mother had shipped from the capital by royal transport. Three layers of thick velvet drapes on the window so no light leaked in or out.

She had never felt more alone in a room in her life.

She reached down with shaking fingers. Her hand reached the hem of her skirt and pushed it up over her knees, then higher toward her hip. Her undergarment was already damp. The friction of her own clothes had made her skin sensitive all afternoon. She pressed two fingers against the thin cloth and felt the heat radiating underneath.

She hated herself a little for what she was about to do.

She closed her eyes.

Lucien’s face appeared in the dark behind her eyelids. Patient. Kind. Perfectly well-dressed. He was looking at her with that careful, protective expression that meant he was ready to handle every political problem except the one her body actually had.

She slid her fingers under the edge of her silk undergarment and touched herself.

Her body stayed cold.

She tried harder. She forced her mind to picture Lucien stepping closer. Reaching across the table finally. Taking her hand. Pressing his lips against her throat.

Nothing.

Cold. Dry. Nothing happened inside her.

She let out a small, frustrated breath and pressed harder, her fingers moving in quick strokes. Still nothing. Her body completely refused to respond to him.

Then, without her deciding to allow it, her mind slipped.

The dark east storage corridor at night. A half-open wooden door. The warm yellow light cutting a narrow strip across the stone floor where she had been crouched against the wall, her fingers between her own legs, believing she was hidden from the world.

And then the shadow crossing the light.

Leo standing in the doorway, watching her.

Not laughing. Not disgusted. Not turning away like a proper gentleman should. Just watching her with dark, steady eyes, looking at her bare skin like he had every right in the world to stand there and see whatever she was doing in the dark.

The heat hit her so fast her chest gasped.

She shoved her fingers deeper between her wet lips and pressed against her clitoris directly. Her back arched off the bed. Her hips jerked upward on their own.

She pictured his eyes. The way he had stood there without saying a word. The deep, heavy sound of his voice when he told her to stop. The way he looked at her not like a noble lady to be protected on a pedestal, but like a woman who was dirty and desperate and completely exposed.

Like she didn’t need to pretend to be pure in front of him.

Her breath came out in ragged, broken hitches. She shoved her free hand over her mouth, biting down hard on her own palm to muffle the sounds echoing off the quiet walls. The guards stationed outside her suite couldn’t hear her. They couldn’t know what the prince’s fiancée was doing inside her locked room.

She moved her fingers faster. The wet, slick sounds under her hand grew loud in the quiet room.

"Leo—"

The name tore out of her throat before she could stop it.

A low, broken sob of a name, spoken against her own wet palm right before her teeth bit down so hard her skin turned white.

She came with a violent jolt. Her inner walls clenched tight around her fingers, pulsing again and again in hard, hot waves. Her whole body shook on the bed, her legs opening wider as the climax tore through her lower body and left her gasping for air.

She lay there for a long time afterward, her chest rising and falling in heavy, uneven breaths. Her skirt was still bunched around her waist. Her fingers were still buried between her thighs, covered in her own clear, sticky fluid.

The room was completely quiet.

Outside the tall window, the grey afternoon had turned into dark evening mist.

Celestia slowly pulled her hand away from her mouth. Her palm bore red tooth marks. She lay staring up at the dark ceiling beam above her bed, unable to move.

Then she lifted her hand and looked at her wet fingers.

Lucien had sat across from her for forty minutes.

He had talked about protecting her honor. About keeping her safe from dungeon monsters. About House Raine and the Imperial throne and the correct noble procedure for every formal event.

He had not touched her once.

She could still feel where her own fingers had just been. She could feel the slick, lingering heat between her thighs—the intense, uncontrollable pulse that Lucien’s entire noble presence had never once managed to cause in all two years of their engagement.

She pressed her knees together tightly and turned her face into the pillow.

She didn’t say anything to the dark room. There was no point in saying anything at all.

Her body had already given its answer.
