The Amber Sword

Chapter 81: Act 14 Insertion

Everyone was stunned when Brando led the Light Cavalry forward quickly in the mountains and pointed out to them the spiritual scout cavalry in the valley who was searching for a way forward.

As if fantasy had become a reality, this young man who led them did indeed possess the power of prophetic perception.

But only Rhetto and Votaron guessed the statue, but they didn't have much time to think, because Brando had given the order to attack, and more than fifty rides down to seal all possible retreats for the Skull Cavalry under the command of the young man - arguably without retreating at all.

Because Brando knew how they would react.

When Brando arranged the cavalry's raid route, his image in the minds of these mercenaries was no longer just a good general, but a miracle. The battle began with a horizontal sword wind, four or five skeleton soldiers stopping to cut off their waists, and then Brando killed into the dead spirit first, but the skeleton cavalry who dared to stop him was often knocked out of range by a sword seven or eight meters away -

Then there was the only corpse witch in front of him.

A sword lord.

Bring the team together again, raid again, and the battle will end as if it were the previous night. Only one of the security cavalry's left ribs accidentally struck a sword, and Brando left him behind to take over from the self-defense regiment that followed him, and then they continued forward.

Less than an hour later, they crushed another Rebellion Cavalry on the other side of the hill. Two fights came down because a total of three casualties - Brando naturally bandaged them all, although he was just trying to open the plug - because his field emergency was working extremely fast, even more perverted than some hemostats.

But his trivial gesture earned him a great reputation, even though his prestige had long been like that of a mercenary, and even a votaron who had always fought him would have had to believe that Brando was a god of war.

Only the mythical god of war, Mars, has the power to do all this.

But Brando was a little bored. Maddala Cavalry's tactical moves in this era were so stubborn, they were far from flexible and varied after the Installon reform, and it seemed to him that they tasted a little like AI training back then.

The only consolation, however, was that he had gained a total of 779 points of experience in two battles and had successfully reached level 17.

At the same moment, when the refugees led by Freya later began to abandon the carriage, the Maddala side found itself in greater trouble.

It is well known that 'Dead Maggots' Margus is a half-zombie whose rotten flesh must always be maintained to ensure that it does not fall.

But even if it doesn't matter to reveal the bone skeleton, the Sorcerer Apprentice of the Dead under it will supplement it on a regular basis. Rotten tendons and epidermis make zombies stronger and tougher than skeleton soldiers - just as a general, Margus more aesthetically arranging the rotten flesh on them.

The news coming from the front line, however, made it feel a little unusual, with his dead sorcerer apprentice sending more than a dozen ghosts to the south before nightfall, only half of them returning regularly.

Isn't that the refugee team? Or a trap?

Marcus grabbed a scratch on his crippled scalp with some confusion, disturbing the myriad of fat maggots coming out of his forehead - these little things quickly burst into his orbit and into the holes in his cheek. He chewed it.

He mapped the areas of responsibility for the missing ghosts, and there was a possibility of that refugee corps on that line.

But since the other party has the ability to counteract his ghost, it may not be that simple. He had to send out a second group of ghosts and further confirm the news from the fraudulent sorcerer apprentices. Marcus guessed how long it would take, but before that, he could urge the zombie army in front of him to speed up even further, better than Alberton and Wesa did.

Madara has a saying: no matter how smart the rats are, they can't escape the sealed tank --

Under the four-sided clamps of him, Kabbas, Alberton, Wesa, Dien, Redios and Gulob, this small group of refugees, however cunning they may be, will eventually have nowhere to run.

By tomorrow morning, when the sun rises, the area south of the Spikestone Valley will be completely overshadowed by the shadow of the black rose of Bromandow's wrath, and Madara will surely triumph -

Marcus stretched out his hand and caressed the side like a dog squatting around him like a corpse. But the half-zombie owner will not know that when he takes everything for granted, the Squadron Leader of the Undead Army just ahead of Brando is in a dilemma.

In fact, about a minute ago, the Black Knight, Sassar, had confirmed that he had lost contact with two Skull Cavalry members of his crew, suspecting that he had been targeted by an unidentified Eruin army. So it immediately sent a scout to contact its eleventh squadron, not far from it, but whether Sassar was sending a ghost or a skeleton cavalry, there was ultimately no word.

Now the Black Knight has realized that the problem may be a bit big.

When Brando and the mercenaries appeared on the hill, they saw that the Lost Spirit Squadron was stopping and preparing to be stationed. Barthom, Retto, and Mano had yet to see anything from it, but Brando had a dark frown.

Madara's middle- and lower-ranking officers are remarkable in their qualities - young people are obliged to choose, in uncertain circumstances, to approach friendly forces in the other direction so that they can safely pass through this blank zone with the refugees behind them.

But the commander of this spiritual army made the most accurate judgement at the first moment.

“What are they doing? ”

Votaron knew a little bit about Madara's tactics and couldn't help but ask. He looked at Brando again and no longer doubted his abilities.

“Stand by. We cleaned up their scout cavalry so neatly that we gave them the illusion that there was an army about three times the size of them that targeted them.” Brando replied.

“Triple? Then why don't they come close to the friendlies and wait here to be divided and surrounded? ”

“Their commanders await the reprimands of the friendly armies. ”

“Aren't they afraid we'll cut those scouts off too?” Mano wiped his machete and answered casually.

Brando looked at him and said he wanted to cut it off. If they weren't for the strongest scouts in the 'Amber Sword' with Stone Ghosts, they wouldn't be able to travel so easily within the scourge search coverage of several Undead Armies.

“Killing scouts is tantamount to telling them they have enemies in this direction, and the reason we solved those two skeleton cavalry teams before was because Brando decided to eat this squadron as well.” Leto explained on the other side.

“Aren't we running out of time for that kind of thing?” Mano asked.

“An hour, end the battle and clean the battlefield.” Brando replied.

Freya leads the militia almost twenty minutes later.

Sassar finally saw a platoon of soldiers with spears descend from the top of the mountain when he saw the cold fir on the hill begin to shake. He stunned, and his costume was unlike any other regiment in his impression of the White Beard Legion.

He couldn't bear to turn his head and asked in a dull voice, "Where is the army? ”

The corpse witch beside him immediately bowed his head respectfully: "It looks like a militia. ”

“Militia? ”

Can the militia silently destroy their two skeleton cavalry? The black knight couldn't help but stand up on his horse and make a gesture behind him.

“Change bows and arrows--”

“Mark 140 feet, eject, eject--”

Skeleton soldiers immediately unbowed the long bow between their waists and squeaked open. Then ‘buzz’ loosened the bowstring and a black cluster of arrows took off into the hillside cold-fir forest.

Mountain winds are huge and arrows have little quasi. But for the little trained militias, the deterrent was great, and the militia formation slowly descended from the mountains paused and became chaotic.

But they also have Freya, the young girl with long ponytails, who rides the horses from the left to the right, trying to motivate the mercenaries on the right and the light infantry of the White Horse Legion to lead the militia attacks.

“Keep your bodies down. Keep your heads down, everybody! Remember what you learned when you were trained! Don't stop. Keep up with me. Remember, this is for your family.”

Freya took the lead, held the sword, and inspired loudly.

At least it seemed that her work had been productive, and at her instigation, the militias quickly picked up the courage - the formation was reshaped again and then slowly pressed down from the mountains.

Sassar frowned and ordered another wave of arrows. After adjustment, the skeleton soldier's brigade was considerably higher this time, with several people in the first three platoons of the militia rolling down in the rain of arrows.

But after two projections, the militias became more stable and overcome their psychological fears, projecting weapons was not as effective as expected.

Sassar immediately changed his hand, pointing a finger at the female knight, and the third wave of arrow rain was clearly headed towards Freya. But the back of the wind flashed instantly, and each arrow that flew toward her was bounced off to the side.

This almost divine scene left everyone alone, and then the militias cheered and couldn't help shouting Freya's name ——

“Pokémon Guard?” Seeing this scene, the Black Knight was almost not laughed at. Sassar wonders where this strange army came from.

And Brando on the other side didn't finally nod until this moment, although he was a bit clumsy on weekdays. But this scene only proves that Freya is, after all, the goddess of martial arts in his heart, born for the battlefield.

He took out his pocket watch and glanced.

Just in time...

Then Brando pulled out the Spike of Light, and the Elf Sword glittered brightly in his hand. Sudden flashes of light on the battlefield flashed most people, and both our enemies looked up to this side.

“Pokémon Sword!” Sassar recognized the sword at a glance, and he almost screamed and unconsciously pulled out the sword in his hand.

Brando raised his sword high and drank, “Charles! ”

As the young wizard leaned from the Guild of Heartcollars, he immediately raised the ruby in his hand to one finger: "Sharp, split, blade construction. ”

A white line immediately extends to the tip along Brando's elf sword, which flashes once and disappears, leaving only the spell-cured sword blade - the Spikebook of the Light - sharply sharp, and now even more indestructible.

“It's a new day, Lord, and remember the maintenance costs below.” Charles finished his spell and said with a smile.

Brando smiled.

He then pointed the sword down, pointing his sword far away at the position of the Black Knight Sassar, which seemed to imply that the next battle would be triggered.
