The Amber Sword

Chapter 85: Turning to Act XVIII

After defeating Sassar, Brando led the refugees south. They attacked another Undead Army about an hour and a half later, replicating a convoy of refugees who had wandered into the voids of the second to third floors of Madara's search line after the last victory.

They had two nets in front of them, three columns of Diren, Gulob and Redios, and behind them a mountainous army of skeletons, seemingly dangerous, but in fact enjoyed a delicate balance, like the calm wind in the eyes of a typhoon.

Although fighting inevitably leads to death and injury, Brando's plan still works.

Madara's Undead Army, which was travelling south of Deer Hunting Hill, quickly discovered a huge problem - the refugee corps that was supposed to be in their perimeter disappeared at this moment as if it had been winged. When ‘Dead Maggots' Marcus joined Alberton, Wesa, and then joined Gullobb, Diren, and Redios to the south - but until they plowed the area over, they still did not find the refugees who had fled into the Silver Peacock Mountains in intelligence.

Is there something wrong with the intel?

As a sly general, Margus never believed in luck. It immediately wondered if the other side was hiding in a valley, waiting for the army of the dead to sweep over the hilly ground.

Margus immediately ordered all the dead troops in the area to release all their reprimands and to search all directions again along the confluence point, making sure to locate that refugee convoy.

But once released, Gulob, commander of the seventeenth column on the left wing of the Madara 'Obsidian’ Regiment, soon found himself missing a squadron in his hand, and Sassar, the black knight who led them, seemed to have disappeared. And it hasn't figured out what's going on, and then the twelfth column commander, Dien, has the same confusion.

Soon they both realized that perhaps a mysterious army had quietly broken through their siege and circled behind them ——

But how did this happen? How a team of 1,200 people escaped from the network of more than a dozen scouts. If it's luck, it's lucky.

But neither of them dared to be lazy, and the first thing they did was notify Margus. ‘Dead maggots’ were furious on the spot and could hardly resist throwing a scroll box with a battle map on their faces.

It almost refers to the nostrils of both of them shouting, “You worthless trash! The third batch of graduates from Black Rose College in Bromandow are worthless maggots! Get out of my sight now! ”

Gurub and Diren dared not refute it and retreated in a gray face. Marcus then calmed down, summoned Alberton and Wesa, and ordered the Undead Army to spread its wings out in case the refugees went around from both sides of the siege.

He then issued a second order, allowing the other three column commanders to search backwards in the opposite direction. Though it despises the nascent dark nobles of Madara, just as it despises the retard of Kabbas' brain, it has to rely on their strength at this moment.

This is, after all, the power of the new generation of Madara ——

It's just worried it's not responding too late.

But in fact, Brando was just passing through the second squadron of 'Blood Witch' Redios, about three miles behind each other's third squadron.

His plan was predicted by Margus to be somewhat different.

Brando flew from both sides of the refugee corps, pointing out the cadres of those on horseback and turning them back loudly. His move was not surprising, as Brando had, in fact, on several occasions allowed the refugees to escape Madara's dead spirit from the cavalry.

When the cadres saw the knight, they consciously ordered the refugees in their area of responsibility to turn around. But some of them cleverly leaned up and asked, “Sir, have you found those monsters in front of you? ”

“No, no, you turn them north, you throw away everything but food, water and weapons, and we're ready to accelerate. ”

Brando sat on the back of his horse and looked at these people and answered.

Did he surprise these people, North? Isn't that the direction of Madara's army, but they managed to escape from that direction, so why kill them back?

This grownup isn't suddenly out of his mind, is he?

Brandler tightened the reins and let the horse take a spin. He looked at the restless people and said, “Don't worry, I'm not crazy. Do it, if you want to live, it's our only chance...”

Everyone looked at Brando, silently. But what can they do but believe in this adult? The aristocrats of Lidenburg have long abandoned them, and only this benevolent knight has stayed with them to suffer with them and lead them out of their plight once and for all.

Besides, the other side was so wise and brave, listening to the mercenaries, this grown man in the battlefield seemed as if the god of war, Mars, had been reborn. While this sounds like bragging, this is borne out by the news of a victory ahead and the constant return of weapons from sources.

With these in mind, the earlier suspicions could not bear to shake. But what does this adult intend to do? Is it true, as the security cavalry say, that the sword in his hand can lead the way to a miracle?

Brando sees them not talking and realizes that their prestige has been built invisibly. Unfortunately, however, these prestige will only be maintained for the time being in this difficult situation, and these honors will dissipate before the end of the first Black Rose War.

So he knew that only personal strength was the good he could reap from the war, and he told himself to see the course of history and not be obscured by these illusory things.

He figured it out, turning the horse and running forward. It seemed as though the atmosphere was getting tense, and the scattered mercenaries were closing in on their ‘lords', and the valley was rumbling, and everyone stopped to watch the scene - as if a king was gathering his knights.

The battle is about to begin again, and everyone's nerves are strained independently.

After all, this evening seems to have been more than swimming, but it is actually racing against time. Apart from the battle, Brando held Charles' silver pocket watch almost all the time - the most intense moment when the cold sweat in his hand even soaked the case.

How dangerous was the battle before? Sometimes it's just a few minutes away from another dead spirit - and that's the difference between heaven and hell.

Brando finally came to the forefront of the team, where Freya and her militia had been waiting for a long time. In addition to her, there are Batom, Mano, Votaron, Retto and Yulir. They were all notified earlier by Brando, but just didn't understand the young man's intentions.

They've gone around the back of the Undead Army, and it looks like they're halfway there, but why would Brando let them go back the way they were?

I'm afraid none of these skilled mercenaries would have just waited for him to explain if Brando hadn't taken a steady place in their minds at the moment. Even Freya, sitting weakly on the horse's back, looked anxious, watching him try to talk several times but stop talking.

Brando glanced at her.

In fact, he had received information that the dead were expanding towards both wings in an attempt to block the convoy of only imaginary refugees. And the other three columns seemed to sweep backwards, and it seemed like they didn't have much choice, and even these followers who had been following him could not help wondering if they were going to race along the 'circumference' to the wings against the 'dead maggots'.

It is not surprising that it is only common practice to avoid victimization.

But Madara has assembled two squadrons and seven columns in the area, and even though these staggering numbers of dead spirits converge on a geographic scale, the area occupied remains staggering - refugees have to circumvent almost twenty miles to avoid contact completely.

It is therefore not realistic to accomplish such a feat, especially if the other party is also expanding towards both wings.

In fact, Brando's plan was to take these people back down the road and surprise the zombie lord unexpectedly.

After the defeat of two Maddala squadrons, the weapons collected were redistributed enough to arm an army of five or six hundred men, while Brando expanded the Self-Defense Corps to nearly five hundred men and women, drawing out all of the more than 2,000 refugees who could be armed.

Of course, as long as he separates Leto and others from the command, he can draw more people. But that is completely unnecessary, and when Madara's army unfolds too quickly on both wings, the power of the centre is inevitably thin - the conditions for an anti-Goal blow are fully ripe.

Brando has much better scouts than Madara, and of course he has the right to choose when and where to fight how many Madara's troops, which is his greatest advantage.

Now he's going to use that advantage to re-kill Madara's heart so that they don't know exactly what he wants.

But he stopped, not in a hurry to explain his intentions, but looked at Freya first. The girl looked pale and shaky on the horse's back and couldn't help but ask: "Why don't you go down and rest, Freya? ”

Freya glanced at him without anger.

Brando laughed bitterly: "Who let you get hurt, I said, let me put a bandage on you and you won't listen. ”

The future goddess of martial arts rose to the roots of her neck as she listened to her face and wondered what this guy was saying shamelessly. How could she have let a girl bandage him? That's ridiculous.

She hated Brando so much that she couldn't help but turn her head around and ignore him so that no one else could get the wrong idea.

But Brando was a little stunned when he saw the scene, saying that Charles wasn't lying to himself, and that's how Freya liked him? He couldn't bear to look back at the young magician's obedience with suspicion.

“Lord, what can I do for you?” Charles stared at his hair and answered with a stiff scalp.

“No, no.” Brando shook his head quickly.

Brando turned around again and found a group of mercenaries staring at him and Freya laughing. In fact, the whole relationship between Lord and the two ladies beside him has long been heard from Charles over the course of the night.

Instead, of course, Brando really gave them a sense of kindness and pulled them back from the many halo rings in their hearts. People are always willing to believe in people like themselves, they will fear genius, but they will not trust them from the bottom of their hearts.

“What are you laughing at? ”

“No, no, Lord, you're wrong.” Everyone answered in unison.

“I hope so,” Brando glanced at these guys in disgust, "otherwise watch your asses! Well, I don't want to explain much to you guys. I'll just say one thing - prepare for battle! ”

He pulled out his sword.

* * * * * * * * *

And when the refugees gathered again under Brando's sword,

As soon as this huge team turns around, the first ‘Blood Witch’ Redios is out of luck, and this time Brando doesn't hide their tactical intentions at all - he has only one tactic, which is fast, faster!

Five hundred militiamen and more than fifty cavalry almost like a dragon ran over a squadron on their left, and over two hundred skeleton soldiers were simply unable to resist casualty raids, Brando.

When the young man led his knights through like a cyclone, it wasn't until half an hour later that Redios realized he had lost his left wing.

And when this intermediate necromancer returned to Marcus, Brando had gone three miles further, and he was stepping on the body of the only squadron captain left in Gulob's hands, and the refugees under his command were accelerating.

Constantly accelerating.

He couldn't help but look at the white deer statue, about fifty minutes from the night sky where the knight's throne appeared ——
