The Amber Sword

Chapter 327: Act 85: The New Owner of the Mine

“No more, Sister Nimaisi. ”

Nimaisie smiled, but soon got serious again: "You've been more careful lately, and the kid's getting restless again lately. But this time they were so covert, I couldn't hold onto them for the time being."

Freya raised her head and looked at her with some concern.

“It's okay," the knight with the black hair took a breath: “With me, just be careful. ”

After that, she looked up at the sky in the direction of the wagon's disappearance. The northern sky is a little shady, as if it were breeding a terrible storm.

But will this storm come before late winter?

Nobody knows.

Nimais only knew that the college had begun to become frightened, and that perhaps the kingdom's last territory was not a haven, but rather a centre of a great swirl in the future, and as for this brief tranquillity, it was nothing more than an illusion of silence before the storm.

At least the knight understands that in the north, in the Freeport of Ambessel, a war without smoke is about to begin.

She turned around and took a deep look at Freya.

“Can you do it?” She asked.

“What?” Freya stayed.

The future goddess of martial arts looked silly and laughed at Nimacees. She hid her mouth slightly and replied with some amusement: "Nothing.”

……

And in the last days of this hectic, frosty month, as if everything had come together, when the situation in the north had become shaky, the same time had gone by, only a blink of an eye of photovoltaic light, and two weeks had passed in the Shaffrend mine ——

That incident, which frightened everyone, eventually proved to be a farce that began to spread widely in the town but was soon forgotten.

People are always oblivious, and with the exception of those injured, the families of the deceased, who will always remember the day deeply, most will return to their original trajectory of life in just one week's time.

The Chaffrend mine, on the other hand, appears to remain unchanged and has remained obsolete for decades. But beneath the surface, something is slowly changing.

First, since Brando et al. left the ground, Kuran's movements have been restricted. On Brando's advice, the old man announced that he would temporarily hand over all the functions in the mine to Auggins, and then shut the door to take care of the wounds - and as for the timid registrar - in fact, when Brando and Metisa broke into his office, he surrendered completely.

Today, Utah is watching the Registrar for 24 hours, under the guise of more than 20 black iron peak mercenaries, and he dares not play any tricks with 100,000 dares.

In fact, contrary to what Brando had predicted, Auggins now seems to be a little more dedicated and diligent than ever before, so much so that he has received some positive reviews among the unknown civilians under his command.

The deputies thought that their grown-ups had finally repented and become pragmatic and willing to do their job after stirring up the whole mining area.

Even those scouts who sent Count Denel to spy on this young man's performance have written positive reviews in their reports for two consecutive weeks.

Of course, each of these reports is Brando's. When Brando brought these reports to the timid registrar, the young man named Auggins scolded her for the first time.

Of course, after scolding him, he looked around carefully, as if he was disrespectful to Count Denel and afraid to be heard by his surrounding eyes.

This is what's called mud not holding up the wall - Brando shook his head voluntarily.

But to appease the cowardly and distant registrar, Brando promised him a promise that he would not reveal to anyone the details of his work for them, but simply that he would be imprisoned and that someone similar to him would be found to replace him.

Although this lie appears to be worn as soon as it is dismantled, it gives at least a psychological comfort to our Registrar. Now he's often scared to death, and he's living with that psychological comfort.

As for Kuran, he was sent to Cold Cedar City the next day, and when this old man saw Charles, he knew he couldn't run. However, he refused Brando's intentional good intentions and asked the latter to keep his promise and let him go as soon as the time came.

When he saw the report, Brando shook his head with a smile at the desk in one of the rooms of the Trout Hotel in the Woods, in the town of Schafflund.

Kuran had a clear relationship with his grandfather, but the old swordsman had been silent since he left the ground.

The young man was intent on finding out the secret from the other side, but not in a hurry because of his nature, but he had a way - and now he has more important things to do than that.

So he put it aside and looked back at the little shadow of the merchant lady buried in a bunch of books —— after leaving the basement, he scolded the disobedient lady.

But he thought Roman would ignore himself for days, and when he left the mining area, the young girl, who called herself a big businessman, still grabbed his hand tightly - as if she was holding something important and feared losing it by accident.

It made Brando feel a little regretted that he was too linguistically heavy.

But in less than a few hours, the young lady developed a demeanor and wobbled up again. It wasn't until Tiger Bird arrived that Brando ordered Utah to send out a copy of the books from the mine that Little Roman truly converged.

She has been working for two days and is progressing incredibly fast - merchants do seem to have a natural gift - easily distinguishing what she wants from complex numbers and abbreviations.

Fortunately, Warnde's accounting method was quite simple in itself, and it was still in its primitive stages, and Roman quickly looked at the shortfalls in Auggins and others and took stock of some of the loopholes in the books.

But Brando understands that before the big axe is cleared in the mining area, at least nominally this place is under Count Denel's jurisdiction. Neither he nor Roman can just go into the mining area and meet Utah, which was previously brought to the attention of prospectors in the mining area.

In fact, more than twenty newly installed mercenaries came in under the name of soldiers killed or injured in mine distress, who did not take too long so that Count Denel would not have too many strange faces in the area under his jurisdiction.

In a month at most, the new soldiers will be replenished - and Brando will, of course, be able to block them, but with a delay of up to two months.

Two months, that's enough for Brando.

So he pressed it and waited for it to be settled later in the fall. But aside from the most important thing at the moment, some minor things are giving him a headache.

For example, the teenagers who came out of the basement with them —— Kevin, Choka and Maher. Brando did admire the skinny teenager, or the future king of Jeannelle, because whatever Brando knew or saw proved that the teenager would never be willing to be an ordinary man.

And the fact that this skinny teenager is underground confirms this.

But surprisingly for Brando, Corvin refused his admission, and the teenager made it clear that he and his friends would leave the place - to storm the outside world as they had planned.

The news left Brando a bit of a pity that King De Nell was not a normal man, but he also knew that such a man could not be forced to stay in the town of Chevrond for the time being, waiting until two months before choosing whether to stay or leave.

On the other hand, the one who should stay, Brando, failed to stay. I shouldn't have stayed, but I stayed.

That strange old dwarf, claiming to be the only descendant of the dwarf in Rwen - and it seems as if his performance in the underground world confirms this too - is of course nothing, and what really makes Brando a little strange is that this guy seems to have been appearing in front of him all these days, intentionally and unintentionally.

Of course, the impatient old dwarf didn't give his nominal lord a good look, but at least he wasn't as cold as before.

But Brando quietly put away the sword of the earth for this reason, and he was worried that this was the purpose of the old dwarf. After he put the sword away, the other side, as usual, seemed unaffected.

Brando can only attribute this behavior to insanity, and then turn around and ignore this guy.

Because in a few days, the other more important thing completely distracted him --

The tiger birds arrived at the mine and they would find a way to smuggle all the silver ore in the warehouse in the town of Schafflund, smelt it and send it to the cedar collar in preparation for the casting of the currency.

Meanwhile, Tiger Sparrow brought Brando some good news.

In fact, on the third day they left, Charles found Groudin's private mint in a nearby estate. But there was a little interlude between them —— noble militiamen hiding in the estate, realizing their whereabouts had been compromised, immediately closed the doors to the mercenaries and yelled to resist to the last man.

This behavior clearly provoked the leader of a small mercenary regiment that led Brando at the time, named Madeleine, whose temper was better known than his strength. So he was going to teach these mercenaries a lesson --

Since they want to resist the last person, then he has to satisfy their wishes!

But just as this powder barrel was ready to go hard, our young wizard lord denied his request, and Charles had only one word brought to Madeland: to watch it change.

That's an odd thing to say.

Only the next day, noble militiamen, who had not yet been able to do so for a lifetime, opened their doors and surrendered with a white flag. Though the mercenaries present at the time were mysterious about the uncertainty of the wizard's lord.

But soon they realized it wasn't a big deal.

The reason is simple.

By this time, the news of Sir Mintai's tragic defeat had spread throughout Tonigal--

……

This is the last one, or not, that's the problem, man.) (To be continued, please go to www.qidian.com for more chapters, support the author, and support authentic reading!)
