The Amber Sword

Chapter 504: Act 340: The Accident in Charles

Brando opens the sarcophagus.

At this moment, the temperature of the tomb * * has been reduced to a degree, and a plush white cream has been created on the surrounding tomb walls, with a slight chirping sound hidden in the darkness. Utah, who stood at the door with others, heard the sound slightly. She turned to look for the source of the sound, but found that the businesswoman beside her was white, shivering and trembling with her upper and lower teeth.

“Are you all right?” There was a slight glimmer in the eyes of the burning female mercenary leader, who did not understand why the little girl was still standing here when she froze like this. But she knew that the Lord's ‘fiancée' was the worst of all those present, so she asked kindly, "Shall I take you out first? ”

Roman held his shoulders in his arms and shook them straight, but as he shook his head like a wave drum, he replied with a trembling tone: "No, no, no, no... I... I want to see Brando open that coffin, I, I want to see what's inside...”

“But aren't you cold?” Utah clearly sees each other freezing to death.

“Me, me, I'm cold...”

“Shall I walk you out? ”

“No, no, no, no!” When the merchant lady answered this, it was clearly a tone of curiosity that prevailed over reason, fully expressing herself, even if frozen into an ice sculpture, here, it is important to see what exactly is in the sarcophagus. Such an idea, if placed in Brando's original era, would at least be a pioneer in the search for truth or something.

“ …… ”

Utah obviously did not understand what was meant by 'dying in the morning'. She looked at this strange little girl a little silent for a moment. Of course, she did not know that Brando looked at Little Roman like she was not afraid a year ago on the night of Buchymadara's invasion of Eruin.

And while the head of the female mercenary was a little silent, Brando finally broke the sarcophagus lid with Charles's help. This huge sarcophagus is trapezoidal in its entirety, somewhat similar to the one found in the tombs of the Egyptian Pharaoh, from which it can be seen that, in contrast to the burial customs of the contemporary Kurdish cultural circle, the Kurdish coffin is usually rectangular or hexagonal like a vampire coffin, and the culture of the Eruins and the Kurdish people live side by side, much the same, while the burial customs of the mountain people generally do not need to go to the coffin, but also dig up a grave in the tomb. So Brando concludes that the tomb may be some years old, at least before the history of the mountaineers.

For the sake of safety, Brando only pushed the coffin open a small gap, but he immediately stunned. Because from the light that penetrates through the cracks, this huge coffin actually looks empty, and you can't even see the skeleton or mummy that was supposed to occupy the main position, but you can see that there are a lot of burials with gold and silver.

“Is BOSS not in here?” Brando had doubts about Dorton, who carelessly made a gesture to Charles beside him, and they immediately pushed the coffin away, which revealed that there was not nothing in the sarcophagus. Just between those superficially oxidized silver and gold vessels, the center of the giant sarcophagus was supposed to contain bones, and now lies quietly in a pile of crystal fragments.

As soon as Brando saw those crystal shards, he felt a chill rising from behind him. Because these crystal fragments are actually a hidden figure lying on a fabric with obvious limbs and trunk parts, but no head.

“Shit, Sister, don't scare me.” Brando couldn't bear to mumble in his own voice, but he looked up and didn't know what it was.

“What the hell is this?” Charles couldn't help but stare at these crystal shards in the coffin. Generally, burial customs in many places include the habit of making burials into mummies for preservation, although the means of making mummies are strange, but they make people into crystal-like forms have never been seen. And without a head, that's even weirder.

Brando took a closer look inside the coffin, and apart from this pile of humanoid crystal fragments, there was nothing else that looked like a wreck. If you're right, this should be the owner of this tomb, and as for the funerals next to it, Brando recognized at a glance that some of the familiar items in the funeral were magical equipment, and presumably in the game, these are the rewards for this BOSS battle.

Is this the BOSS? Thinking about it, he couldn't help but look at the pile of crystal shards again. No way, even though your mental response is sharp, but you're not so weak when you're cut to pieces, are you? Brando couldn't touch his head for a moment.

But it wasn't just Brando, Charles seemed to feel a little familiar with this pile of humanoid crystal shards in front of him. He said with some uncertainty in his psychic subpoena: “Seems like this is what it was before, boss. ”

Brando nodded, unanswered, and his eyes flashed, suddenly finding something unusually familiar in the pile of accompanying funerals. That thing lay between a bunch of gold and silver vessels, a piece of stone the size of a slap, dark grey, with a dim surface that looked like pieces that had fallen off the coffin. If Brando hadn't been a little confused, his gaze would have swept through the sarcophagus several times, and I'm afraid he wouldn't have noticed such an ordinary piece of stone for a while.

But he screamed softly and grabbed the thing and suddenly found it very similar to something he had seen. He hesitated and immediately pulled something out of his pocket.

It was also a piece of stone, dark and dusty, almost the same size as the larger piece of stone Brando had on his hands, except for the size of his thumb. This little stone is the relic of Viscount Neisson, who was found in the ‘forbidden orchard' where the golden demon tree was when he fled with Roman and Freya on Xavier Hillway, and of course, the relic of Antina's father.

He remembered that of all the relics of Antina's father at the time, only this tablet was the only thing he didn't know. He thought the tablet was some sort of alchemy material. After all, there were thousands of materials in Amber Sword. He didn't know it and it was normal. He was a war profession, not an associate player.

But then, according to Tama, the alchemist, it wasn't a mineral, or something like that, and there was no magic on it, more like a regular piece of stone. Brando tried to throw it away several times, but in the end, it was not worth it. After all, it was obtained under special circumstances. Maybe it was something dramatic. If you lose it, you won't be able to find it.

Nor did he expect to find anything similar to this tablet at this moment in an unnamed grave in Tonigal.

What the hell is this?

This strange piece of stone appeared in these accompanying funerals to show what it must be worth, at least with the approval of the tomb owner. Brando swept through other accompanying funerals, although not worth a lot (after all, a reward for Level 30 underground), but at least most of them were magical objects, and the rest represented gold, silver and ceramics of equivalents and works of art.

This piece of stone appeared in the hands of Antitina's father, hundreds of miles away, in this ancient tomb from hundreds of generations ago, where the secrets of two different eras were intertwined and Brando frowned.

He thought for half a day and could not conclude that the most reliable presumption was that the tablet was some kind of special accompanying funeral, which might have been given special significance in some era, and Viscount Nematsu was just an 'archaeological’ enthusiast, which only made sense. But that smells a little disrespectful to the deceased. After all, there is no flanking evidence that Antina's father was a grave thief.

Besides, Viscount Matsushi kept such an ordinary piece of stone on him at all times, along with a letter to Antitina, indicating that he was at least proud of the collection, and Brando could not really think of any value for it, which was not from the stone spear tip of the Stone Age.

Brando thought about it, or decided to carefully put it away first, at least this strange piece of stone appearing in this tomb suggests that it may have gone through more years than Eruin himself.

“Hey, here's the fate card. ”

Brando was suddenly surprised to hear Charles say something in a heartbeat. He turned around and saw his servant hook his index finger into the sarcophagus, and the layered web suddenly flew up a dark thing, like a box, with a sun engraved and triangular on the surface of the box, a scrotum circle inside the triangle, two patterns constituting a peculiar symbol, around which there was a slightly elevated flame texture.

But when he glanced, he saw the silver glitter under the box, connected to a thin, almost invisible silver wire. As soon as Brando saw the silver wire, his face changed and his voice shouted a little shivering:

“Put it down! ”

Unfortunately, a little too late, Charles had grabbed the box in his hand, and he looked back at his owner with confusion.

But all of a sudden, the whole tomb began to shake, the floors swung violently, the ceiling dusty down, only to see the weight-bearing columns around begin to tilt, making a teething noise. Now everyone understands what's going on, and it's obvious that someone triggered something terrible.

“Ah!” Charles startled: “Ah... My lord, it was an accident. ”

It was a surprise to him to explain that he was actually a witch who grew up in an ivory tower in the context of a card. Unlike adventurers, almost none of the NPC wizards grew up in a vast ocean of books, and they had nothing to do with adventure, let alone know where there were organic traps in the underground city.

But Charles' strength made him and Brando ignore that.

And Brando ignores what's more important: Charles is an aboriginal, not a player wizard.

“Shit!” Brando lay in a big hole in his heart, and he immediately said, "Forget about the accident. Run, this grave is going to collapse!” Most of the catacombs between Amber have self-destructing mechanisms, but a little experienced player wouldn't do that, and now he's just looking at Charles with a lot of sweat in his heart.

They looked at each other, turning one at a time.
