The Amber Sword

Chapter 618: Beyond the Abyss Act 347 VI

The devil's invasion quickly became the most serious of the moments, and everyone knew the weight contained in the message.

Wood hoped that the princess side would first return to the Temple of Fire captivity and allow the Connolia fleet to at least regain some fighting power to cope with the next war with the devil. But Brando did not respond immediately to that request, and time was running out, but that did not mean that he needed to give way to the previous results.

The war took a short break and both sides needed to rest. Demons can't be right in front of them, and these creatures from under the sulphur river will be blocked from moving under heavy rains until even the worst estimate is that he has more than a dozen hours to negotiate with the Cruz.

Brando's request is simple and has a little bit of a lion opening flavor.

The northern coalition should have returned all prisoners belonging to the princess, which naturally included His Royal Highness the Little Prince.

Thereafter, the Temple of Fire will bear all the damage caused by this war, because Brando believes that the aristocracy of the North started the war at their instigation - he does not care whether the truth of the matter is true or not.

This includes compensation and trade compensation agreements.

Of course, reparations are made privately to accommodate the face of the Cruz people. Brando can still live up to this small requirement, after all, he focuses only on practical benefits.

The trade compensation agreement is Brando's proposed form of compensation, ostensibly a trade preference for the Eruin Empire by the Cruz Empire. In fact, however, there are many detailed conditions, including two important trades in technology.

Drawings of the Demonic Transmission Device and the manufacturing technology of the Imperial 'Fearless Class’ Class I Battleship.

This is blackmail.

Seeing these two conditions, the look on Wood's face was black as if it were a cloud off the coast of Ambethel, and he didn't say a word to brush his sleeve.

Then an envoy was dispatched to negotiate with Brando.

The envoy simply claimed that if Brando did not cooperate, the Temple would abandon Eruin, for which the Cruz would lose face at best. But waiting for Eruin's best is also a major loss of energy, and the worst is undoubtedly annihilation.

If this were to be placed in the presence of other Eru 'in nobles, it would undoubtedly be a huge bomb, even if Her Royal Highness were afraid to shake it. But when Brando heard it, he just smiled and told Medfis to throw the guy out of the camp.

Jokes.

He knows the soft heart of the temple, and I'm afraid the Cruz are not just trying to preserve their faces, but more importantly, the secrets of the doors of fire must never fall into the hands of all. He knew that there were several permanent flame doors in the Cruz Empire, and that once the secret spill of the flame doors occurred, he feared that the Empire would soon become another gateway to the sulphur river to the surface world.

With this secret in hand, Brando will naturally not compromise easily. But he was also disturbed, and if Wood's old fox really dared not move, Brando was afraid to go to the other side to compromise.

Because only he, Antina and Freya know —— Roman is still in Port Ambessel.

And once the Cruz had taken the initiative, they were afraid that Eruin would let them peel the next layer. Brando bit his teeth for an hour and a half, and Wood finally couldn't help but find the door. After all, the high priest didn't have any news to reassure him.

Wood relieved Brando.

The Cruz dress is soft.

However, in half an hour Brando signed an interim peace agreement with Wood, taking advantage of the soft momentum of the Cruz. Brando was not soft at all and, in addition to the apparent agreement, the parties signed a confidential agreement on an ad hoc basis.

The Temple of Fire, in private, recognizes the right of the Corcova royal family to later hold the chief heads of the northern aristocracy accountable for their treason. This includes the disposition rights of Grand Duke Sifah, Marquis Balta, Count Vitokin and Marquis Yuxi, among others.

However, this second provision was not brought to light. First, it is not time to shake the confidence of the aristocrats of the North. Second, the High Priest has long discovered the whereabouts of the Grand Duke of Sifah, the Marquis of Balta, the Count of Vitokin and the Marquis of Uxi. I am afraid His Royal Highness Prince Haruze will fall into the hands of all.

Therefore, even if the Templar Party wishes to fulfil this provision, it is temporarily incapable of doing so.

Once all the demands have been met, Brando naturally agrees in principle to return all the Templar Prisoners of Fire on hand - including the seven Templar Knights, the White Wing Knight and the other prisoners of the Conorian fleet.

After all, these people are going to play their part in the war, sort of Brando's hard work. Though the Cruz do not necessarily think so.

At the same time, in exchange for a second, more important agreement. Brando also took a step back from the original technology transfer agreement by replacing the latest Magic Transmission Device with a 10-year backward drawing and Battleship manufacturing technology with frigate manufacturing technology.

But even so, Brando left a trap behind. Because his original target knight was the new escort blueprint of the Cruz Empire, the Cruz's battleship's pursuit of fire and armor was overwhelming and unpleasant. He preferred the new battleship of the Wind Elves, but the new frigate of the Krutz was stolen from their rival, the Hazers, but it was brilliant, after all, the Hazers, one of the world's leading magicians.

It is unfortunate that Wood, the most talented high priest of all, is not a technical bureaucrat, and most nobles accompanying the Temple of Fire are unlikely to bring a master craftsman. So, without everyone knowing the trap, Brando naturally slammed them clean and hard.

Finally, the two sides exchanged prisoners and reached an initial reconciliation. Brando does not intend to merge two armies that killed Red Eye just a few hours ago against the devil, which is undoubtedly the Night of Heaven. He therefore simply stopped the northern coalition in the area of Bunoan, while the Princess's troops and those of Lantoniland were stationed directly in the Mar Heights.

The proposal was also endorsed by all, and the aristocrats of the North were not always willing to stand in the same trench as Her Highness.

Subsequently, Brando blocked the news of the demonic invasion and did not allow any rumors to circulate among ordinary soldiers, merely telling them that an exotic army from Jorgendigan might have invaded Ambethel. While it is frustrating to say that it was easy to win a war and celebrate it in the future, it is better than to immediately generate a large number of deserters.

He had seen similar scenes, all over the Second and Third Black Rose Wars. Both Odin and the royal aristocracy agree that they can understand the virtues of their own men.

Although the Royal Party had earlier parted ways with Her Royal Highness, the Princess had already expressed her past blame for this, and both sides had temporarily returned to a chariot. Thanks to the presence of Brando and Ike, the status of Princess Griffin has improved considerably.

But the morale of the soldiers was still a problem, and Brando threw it at the Cruz and asked Wood to persuade the Northern Allied aristocrats to gather supplies from the vicinity of Buenos Angeles, at least to allow the armies of Lantoniland and Count Odin to celebrate a victory.

“As long as there is hot broth, even in this ghost weather, the average soldier is satisfied.” By evening, Brando had begun sending scouts to the periphery to obtain information about the vicinity of the port, whether it had fallen into the hands of the devil or not, and the number of demons.

However, considering that the inhabitants of the surface world knew very little about the underground world, Brando decided to go and explore it in person near Ambesseur. His adventurous actions naturally met with strong opposition from Antina, and even Princess Griffin did not approve, but he decided to go ahead with his campaign.

I just didn't expect His Royal Highness to stop him from taking the risk and insist on being with him. She ordered Ovewell to leave the soldier at ease, then put on the knight's uniform, ride the horses, join his ranks, and Count Odin accompanied her.

What Her Royal Highness wants, Brando naturally can't stop it. Fortunately, he had no intention of engaging with the devil, but to investigate the situation on the front line, and it was up to her to be sexy.

Brando naturally did not take it personally to think that Her Royal Highness was particularly concerned about herself, and perhaps for that reason, although on several occasions he saw a half-esque girl with bright, rainy silver eyes, implying that she must not be satisfied with her woman's identity.

Indeed, she is far more suited to the throne than her brother.

“Just wondering if those cavemen would give us a night off.” Count Odin replied somewhat disturbingly.

Brando understands Odin's anxiety that demonic invasions can be enormous and minimal, and that they happen all the time on the planet. Events such as evil magicians summoning a demon and making a pact with him, or occasionally a fierce beast from the sulfur river fleeing to the surface, are insignificant.

But once something like this happens, the devil masters one or more large portals, that's the end of it. Because the demons themselves possess the craftsmanship of the portal, if the local lords do not react and wipe out the portal quickly, the biological armies of the lower world will grow up as fast as snowballs.

There have been several cases of extermination in history, the earliest of which was in the year of golden hooves. Then another glorious year took place, and that wretched principality was very close to Eruin, near the Principality of Antoboro.

“I'm afraid not.” Brando replied. Demons don't look like Eruin's Feilong cavalry, and they march well at night, but this rainy weather also blocks their movement.

The hillsides in the Black Pine Forest become wet and slippery under heavy rainfall, and the heavens and the earth become obscure at the end of their extreme purpose. Fortunately, Brando was familiar with the terrain around the area, walking around a few short hills, and then a male peak appeared in their field of view.

That's Brando's goal.

Under the Knight's protection, he and the Princess, Count Odin, climbed the nearest peak to Ambesseur in the rain, then looked down from the top of the mountain and the harbour was dark, which was one of the worst signs. He raised his head and the clouds floated from the north, before he realized that they were all hawks - close relatives of Sernon, but were expelled in the ‘Kelano’ war and later hidden in the underground world.

Brando put down the telescope in his hand and couldn't help but breathe a breath of cold air. He turned around and Her Royal Highness looked pale. Indeed, as Wood expected, there is already a large army from Jorgendigan within the port of Ambethel.

All three of them were a little silent for a while.

“Those don't look like demons?” Her Royal Highness asked.

Brando nodded and looked at the other two, but found they didn't seem to realize what was wrong. It's not a good omen that the demons are mixed with Jorgendigan's army.

The inhabitants of the underground world are not only cavemen, but most of the surface inhabitants are referred to collectively as cavemen. Few of them were able to distinguish the demon's relationship with the rest of Jorgendigan's forces, and it was therefore indispensable to show such an attitude.

But Brando knew that Jorgentina was actually a generic name. Underneath is a crossroads that connect many areas, such as the mushroom fields and the eternal abyss, and the sulfur river where the devil lives is actually the lowest layer of the earth's core, isolated from the boundaries of Vaughn's elements. They were first discovered by Dark Pokémon, who built a city on the lava plain, the tip of scorching heat. As a result of dark magic, the city's high-ranking nobility quickly decayed, destroying the seal of the elemental boundaries, and the demon broke out of the box, which led to the demise of the Dark Elf Empire.

Then the Dark Elves retreated into the abyss of eternity and the demons quickly seized a piece of land and became one of the natives of the underground world. But the inhabitants of the underground fought against each other, and the empire of Jorgentina, controlled by the Black Dragon, could never succumb to the devil. How could the two races mix?

Brando remembers the first invasion of the surface world in history by Jorgentine until the beginning of the second century, after the Second Black Rose War. That's chapter four of the game, "Everlasting Darkness."

Is there an unknown change in the world down there? No, Brando doesn't think his changing history has affected Jorgendigan so quickly. A sword of the earth is a coincidence.

In any case, however, real problems still need to be solved.

“Mr. Brando, what should we do now?” Princess Griffin asked that there were so many hawks in the sky as clouds, and she never dreamed that an army of this magnitude would gather near Ambessel in just one day. And the number of demons on the ground is conceivable, for fear that the army of Rantoniland, taken together with the Allies of the North, will be irresistible.

Brando also looked at the scene and was slightly silent for a moment.

“I don't have a good idea either. ”

“Mr. Brando, you can't either...?” Princess Griffin can barely speak.

Brando nodded, and the return of all things was indeed a big surprise to him. Nearly more demonic armies now than the previous Temple of Fire combined with the Northern Allies, and he was no longer able to start another cycle of adversity paradise in a short time.

Summoning the Temple of Life, the Adverse Trojan Horse, and all the anterior cycles, he accumulates elements for quite some time. No further consideration for at least a week.

He held his lips tight for a while and his mind was filled with thoughts about the situation.
