The Amber Sword

Chapter 724: Act 68 The Breath of Milos

Despite the rhetoric that time was running out, Brando's team eventually delayed another day on the banks of the Nuga River. Fortunately, Peia, a hunter girl, has excellent physical qualities, burns quickly subside, and the wound recovers at an alarming rate.

Brando didn't know if it was a special talent for hunters, but the team had to leave the third morning at his request anyway. He summoned a black wolf as a mount for a young hunter girl who had recovered from a major illness, and everyone else had to walk down. The carriages and horses remain in temporary camps on the banks of the Nuga River, as the journey below is no longer suitable for these items to be added.

A day after entering the forest, the coniferous forests quickly became dense, and the layers of snow-capped branches sometimes even covered the sun, making the forest floor shady and cold. The team creaked and stepped on the snow and broken dead branches, and soon some spine-shaped white rock appeared between the woodlands, and then a light blue light curtain appeared in everyone's view, like a thin light wall, a translucent light wall rising into the clouds and covering the entire forest, connected to a white rock spire not far from here.

Everyone couldn't help but stop and watch this wonder. But only Brando knows that this light blue screen is the entrance to this front copy, Milos' final breath. In the game, this light screen is called ‘Magic Bondage’ and is a symbol of the eighty level replica (character level).

Behind this curtain wall is the famous giant replica group.

Speaking of, apart from the Golden Tree, it was the first time Brando challenged a copy of this Warnde world. In Amber Sword, copies actually work very differently from most of the games of the same period, and players call it that, it's just a customary convention.

A copy in Amber Sword is not so much a copy as a scene area. Because only this word can define it accurately.

Brando's familiar copy operates in several ways, the first being a one-time copy of the task, and only the player who challenges it first has the opportunity to get the task. This is the case, for example, of the forbidden orchard of the Golden Demon Tree, which, although capable of repeatedly killing BOSS through fragments of time, is doomed to nothing.

The second is a scene area typical of this huge group of replicas they're facing right now. Such a large group of replicas operates in a classic way and can be said to have pioneered a front-row in the gaming world at the time. While there is still only one or a few fixed main lines in the replicas, in other front-row areas it is not a single-line propulsion mode of 'Monster - Monster - BOSS’ familiar to the average player.

Instead, copies like Milos' Final Breath are in fact divided into two regions. Each area is made up of points and faces. Point is the monster's nest in the area, and the face is the special area in the copy. In these areas, the nest brings a fixed combination of one or several monsters, along with randomly generated leader-class monsters and some random special events - players are tasked with challenging these monsters in specific terrain in different regions.

So as long as the main line plot in the center of the cream labyrinth is not activated, the players are in fact confronted with a completely real area each time they enter the front copy. What difficulties they encounter in this region depend entirely on the computation of the system and the changes that their behaviour has brought to the region.

This mode of play can be described as the beginning of an era and the real reason Amber Sword triumphed over other games. An infinite proximity to the real world. In fact, since the first edition of the Seventy, every copy of the game that has emerged since then has applied a similar philosophy, and the Sword of Amber has since begun to move one step at a time to its peak.

Brando himself was naturally impressed with this copy of the pioneering era.

But it's good to know that while the presence in the copy is constant and varied, there are at least traces to follow. Especially before the first entry, the monster's lair will not disappear empty-handed, and the terrain in the copy will not change much. There are some little secrets that only he knows that will help him greatly.

That's why he's got bamboo in his chest.

The only variable is about one step ahead of the man and horse of Anrek entering the copy. Brando turns around and sees that most of the people who follow him are stunned - the bondage of power is spectacular indeed. It is said that most of the reasons for generating such a light screen stem from ancient seals, which are justified on the basis of age.

This magic wall on the outskirts of the Frost Forest is legendary as the self-sealing of the Titan God at the last minute to protect his remains and the fire of divinity. But for thousands of years, it has been eroded by dark magic.

“Mr. Brando, what the hell is that?” Phyllis looked up at the light coming straight into the sky and couldn't help but sigh a little.

“Seems like a magical junction.” Laurena muttered.

“Not as if, but exactly.” Charles also looked up and sighed soundly: “This must have come from an ancient creation, and there was no such spectacular magic after the Battle of the Saints. ”

But Brando listened to a few people, not answered them, but looked back at Paia sitting on the back of the black wolf. The Hunter Girl is well, but her voice is still a little weak: "The wall was mentioned in her father's notes, but it should be harmless, when they also crossed the light wall - but be careful, the forest behind it is a truly dangerous area. ”

“What's behind it? ”

“Father mentioned that the forest was immersed in the night and that there were some luminous pale people at night who would lurk in the trunk and attack the travellers passing through it. My father said they were the ghosts of the lost, searching all day for victims who could replace them -" Peia replied softly.

Almost entirely, Brando was a little surprised. Looks like the father of this hunter girl really went into that forest, and the first area of Milos' final breath was the Night Forest, which, as she described, was full of all kinds of dangers at night, without day, under night.

But this is the easiest part of this front copy. There are no specific plots in this area, there are a lot of monster nests and some special random events, and what happens depends on the player's luck.

He's familiar with the forest -- strategically. But Paia's father's notes helped him understand the forest from another side, and Brando suddenly realized that his decision seemed to earn him again.

“Can we find them?” The little prince seemed naturally lacking in resistance to these mysterious things, and he held his sword and asked with a slight white face. “I have a gem that can spot dead spirits in advance. ”

“Psychic gems.” Laurena seemed to know a lot about magical objects and reacted quickly to what Haruze had said. “Your Royal Highness, it would be great if you had that thing. Ghosts and ghosts are unpredictable, but dangerous, and psychic gems can make them invisible. ”

“On the contrary, you'd better put that thing away.” Brando interrupted their conversation, and he turned to Peia and said, "Your father didn't see a ghost, though it looked like it. It's magic, they're sensitive to magical objects, they're used to killing travelers who carry magical objects and robbing them of their equipment. ”

“Demons?” Phyllis is a little confused.

“It's a cruel monster; you've heard of wizards who have gone crazy after magic, and some of them have turned to drilling to control dark magic, but most of them have failed. Surging dark magic will tear their bodies apart in an instant, but their purest souls will remain, merging with their beloved magic of all time - and, of course, at this time these wizards can no longer be called human beings, and all they have left in their minds is a taste for magic, other than that, like a beast. ”

Brando explained calmly.

Most of those present fought a cold war.

Only Charles nodded: "Lord is not talking about bedside stories you've heard, which I can testify to. There are many such people in the history of wizards, but how can there be so many demons here? ”

“It's simple, you'll see when you get in.” Brando replied.

In fact, a traveler has approached the light screen at this moment, and after approaching it, they see the original face of the light wall. It looks like a flowing water wall, where water elements are confined to a thin surface and waves of light flow. As everyone approached it, the smooth surface reflected the strange image of them being stretched out.

Brando reached out and touched this wall of light - to gain recognition of the power bond. After all, the seal is a seal through which only the people of order can pass safely and carelessly, while those monsters are bound forever.

The ripples on the screen flashed for a moment, and then the watermarks retracted to both sides, as Brando had seen in his last lifetime - and soon a hollow area of about two and five people wide appeared on the blue light wall. The empty area revealed a corner of the forest behind the night, and Brando looked inward, and the forest of the black hole was exactly what he had seen on the offensive.

But even in a pitch-black forest, the light of the star dots floats. But that's not a good thing, because Brando knows that 89 out of 10 creatures in this forest don't have good intentions.

He stepped inwards, stepped into the forest, permanently enclosed in the middle of the night, and then turned around and said to those outside:

“Come in and welcome to the Forest of Everlasting Night--”
