The Amber Sword

Chapter 730: Act 73 Magician Tower

After the demon withdrew from the perimeter of the Mage Tower, the battle outside slowed down. The battle soon turned into a team of Nimatis and Laurena, but Brando expects this to take place at least three to four more times before the demons can be wiped out.

It's been a little long, but it's good that he doesn't have anything to do either. The first floor of the magician's tower is like a small square, attached to the outer wall of the square, with a circle of stairs hovering up to the second floor of the platform. This platform is in fact suspended between the square and the upper third floor space, the platform is a circular ring structure, surrounded by chest walls and pallets, Brando looks like a defensive work, its role is self-evident, naturally someone breaks through the entrance of the magician tower to attack the enemy above the first floor square.

While this tower of magicians was still in operation, it was supposed to be full of wizard guards and young apprentices, but by now people had gone to the sky, leaving nothing but dead work itself.

Even so, however, there is still danger in the Wizard's Tower. ‘The things of the wizard are untouchable’, a proverb of the Karasu people, and the tower of the wizard, which is the most precious property of the wizard, is itself a forbidden area for ordinary people.

Especially in this abandoned Wizard Tower, the scattered magic, the still running magic trap, has lost the master's restrained magic puppet and dangerous creatures, plants, and even books on the bookshelf are filled with mystery and unknown. For a normal person, the best way to get into this Wizard Tower is to stay down there.

But this constraint is only for ordinary people.

Brando knows another secret in this tower. He ordered everyone to rest in place, and then he went up to the third level of the Mage's Tower by himself with Cee, the Little Prince and Phyllis.

There is no physical connection between the third and second layers of the Mage Tower, but the twelve transfer arrays are used to convey manpower and supplies. These twelve transfer arrays are each marked by different colors, and Brando chose the red transfer array without thinking.

Setting a trap in a transport formation is the most vicious and the most common way for wizards to protect their enemies.

Red is a warning color for most people, but Brando knows that the color of these twelve transport arrays is more than just a warning. Black Tower Wizards associate them with the twelve months of Eruin and the twelve magical moons, and in different months, in different moon depletions, there can only be one transmission array that is the real transmission array.

And most of the rest of the convoy will send you to the snowy storm Mountains, or the lava lands, or the shallow waters of Malocha's homeland, or the corners of a world you can't name at all.

While transmission arrays are mostly non-lethal, they produce more dangerous effects than lethality, especially for players. It was said that one of the bad guys in Amber Sword broke into the transmission line and was sent to a kingdom called Hilma, which took him a full year to find a way back to Warnde after sending countless help posts at the Forum.

It is said that participating in the action to save the player at the time could even be written into a songwriting epic, and the way the player came up with it was strange. And for a long time afterwards, players even started a wave of traveling to different worlds.

Brando was not personally involved in the event because of the Eruin war, but he knew that the players didn't really figure out how many ‘different worlds’ were outside of Warnd.

It's just that these different worlds obviously existed a long time ago, and Traciman came from one of them, where players were more inclined to be the fragments of Martha's order scattered across the vast dark world. Warnde is just one of the bigger ones.

……

It took Brando a lot of work to initiate the Law Enforcement because he found that the power pool of the facility inside this Wizard Tower was not one with the power pool of the Advanced Evil Enforcement Law Enforcement Enforcement outside. The magic pool inside was obviously already dry, and he had to carry a magic crystal to eventually drive the transmission array.

The light flashed in front of the four of them, and the next minute they realized that the scenery in front of them had changed. It was a spectacular defense. But it has now become a narrow, dark aisle - the power pool in the Wizard's Tower has long dried up, and the magical lighting that was used naturally ceases to exist, if not for the strange luminescent plants in the aisle, it is estimated that at this time they will see a pitch-black.

But Brando was ready, and he took out the magic crystal, and the bright light immediately reflected the corridor in front of him. It was as if for the first time in a century the light had come back here, and Brando had heard a whispering sound, and they had all seen a huge swarm of vines brushing back out of the hallway as if they were shy, turning away.

Sy can still stay calm, Phyllis and the little prince can't help but see the scene a little creepy, they've seen a lot of things, but they haven't seen plants run around with their legs.

Moreover, the shape of this tunnel is a bit of an obstacle, which should have been a stone paved corridor with marble or obsidian, and the walls on both sides are covered with masonry, with a torch stand at every distance. Similar walkways can be seen in many castles or temples.

But this is the one in front of us, where the broken masonry produces many thick tenmans, the slabs of the ground have long been lifted east and west, and the corners of the walls are like tropical jungles full of plants of all kinds. Most are fern plants or some luminous fungi. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I'd imagine it would be a plant park in a place like this.

But this is what wizards call ‘magical miracles’. It's just that this miracle is not always friendly, and folklore has no shortage of touching things that are permanently turned into frogs.

“What is this place?” Phyllis opened his mouth in surprise and couldn't help but ask.

“This should be the top level of the Wizard Tower, where the wizards live.” Brando replied. The red transmission line, on the moon of flames, the magical day of the harp, is the only way to the upper level of the Wizard Tower.

“Ah...” Haruze shouted suddenly - the wound on his shoulder was already wrapped, but the scratch kept him frowning. And the little prince said with a little curiosity, "So these are the twelve moon transfer arrays down there! ”

“Twelve moons? ”

Haruze seemed to react to his own fuss. It was a little rude, blushing and explaining in a whisper: "… My sister and I had heard some rumors about the wizards from my father. The Black Tower Wizards have some unique defenses, the 12th Moon Transfer Array being the most famous of them all, and the Wizards have designed this sophisticated array system based on the changes in season and moon loss on the Vaughn continent, legend has it that after the blueprint of this array was destroyed in an accident, no one can solve it anymore. ”

“Even the wizards of Buga have felt sorry for this, and it is said that the proud people of silver, while despising this crude law enforcement technique, have confessed that it contains the most subtle astronomical and calendar calculations. ”

Haruze's tone was somewhat exciting: “Even to be praised by the people of Silver, it is undoubtedly Eluin's pride. ”

Phyllis whispered, “Didn't Mr. Brando untie it? ”

The little prince remembered this question because he looked at Brando with some admiration: "That's because even my sister admired the Count because she heard so much about it. My sister has always been a proud man, and Master Leewoods said herself that her insights were no less than his. ”

When he said that, he couldn't help but look carefully at Brando.

Brando was a little awkward, and he obviously heard the little prince cheer himself up. Besides, the complex calculation of the ‘passwords' of these transmission arrays was certainly not made by him, nor was it how wise the players were. In fact, the way the players deciphered this set of 'passwords' was a model of violent cracking. He remembered that it was a Grand Duke student who used his life to fill it out.

He didn't remember the name of the guild, but the other side got a great reward. Together, they sold the mystery to the Black Tower Wizard and allegedly bought the price of a city.

Witches have always been one of the least underprivileged people on the Warnde continent, although few have seen them spend their money on the big foot.

“But then again, this is where the wizards live, and there must be something of value in it, right?” Phyllis also suddenly remembered the legend: “I've heard that every single thing of the wizards is a rare treasure. ”

He was about to rush inside, but Brando grabbed him with a quick hand and cautioned, "Without that, the wizards just had a little more magic on their hands. Believe me, you've got plenty on you, Mr. Firas. Not every magic object is worth a city, and if it is, it's for ordinary people, not for you--”

Fellas stunned, and this just reacted: “You're right. So, what are we doing here? ”

“You'll see,” Brando relieved, but cautioned: “Be careful, it's a maze. Not in your garden. Some people in the maze of wizards can't walk in for life. Besides, there are cowheads in there. You must not have seen the monsters the wizards have made up, they can eat you without bones left. ”

Phyllis was about to go forward, and when he said that, he was surprised and hurried back: “This tower has been here for at least a few centuries. Won't they starve to death? ”

“Have you ever seen a monster starve to death? ”

Phyllis blinked, as if he hadn't seen it.

Brando just walked forward with the lighting crystal, and the surrounding plants were strangely shaped, but he looked at essentially harmless plants. Witches like to grow aggressive, extremely aggressive, phagocytophagic grass and snake-shaped vines that are not seen here, but also because both plants are carnivorous vegetation and are not expected to survive much longer without food.

He followed the tactical guidance in his memory, crossed five closed doors and turned left, then went about a hundred steps further. In his reminder, Ferris, Sy and the little prince tried not to look at those doors. In fact, even if Brando didn't tell them, they'd heard similar stories. Doors are a mysterious word for wizards. Most of their doors lead to mysterious different dimensions, and mortals never come back once they've gone in. These stories are hard to tell, but better not be a joke.

About a hundred steps later, Brando stopped. He did see a remains in the grass in front of him.

It's not a wizard's skeleton, because the skeleton is still dressed in conspicuous armor. The first player in the game found it in this position, and the player thought the skeleton was supposed to be an adventurer who came in later, and how they found the Wizard Tower was unknown, but according to his analysis, the owner of the skeleton was supposed to be a warrior character in this group of adventurers.

As for the cause of his death?

Brando turned around and looked closely into the grass. At this point, he noticed that Haruze looked a little strange around him and stopped to ask, "Did you find anything? ”

“Who is he?” The little prince asked curiously.

“A warrior, or knight, is definitely not a wizard. ”

“He's the guardian of the wizards. How did he die here?” Fellas also asked.

“Because of this--” Brando finally found what he was looking for in the grass, and the sword of the earth was already in his hands. He stabbed it and suddenly nailed it to the ground.

A squeaky scream, a dark thing struggled under Brando's sword and broke his breath. The other eyes looked at it and found it to be a weasel-like creature.

“What is this?” Phyllis slightly flashed.

“That's the weasel. ”

“Did you say a weasel killed this guy?” A young knight from Cruz exaggerates and opens his eyes: “Wouldn't I be bitten by my hound in the future? ”

Brando was a little speechless about this metaphor, and he felt that with this guy's IQ, if he wasn't lucky enough, he might actually get bitten by a dog. Anyway, it's not weird that Warnde was bitten by a dog, even if it's a dusk dog they're facing for a while, but it's also an authentic canine animal.

“This is Magic Pet.” He just answered.

“Demon pet?” Phyllis, that's how it reacts: "You mean it was a wizard who killed him, and there was a wizard in this tower?” He got a little creepy at first.

The little prince immediately looked around.

Sy didn't answer, she just grabbed Tianqing's gun silently. (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote on recommendations, monthly tickets (qidian.com), and your support is my biggest motivation.)
