The Amber Sword
Chapter 750: The End of Act 91 Dreams (third more)
The world of dreams is collapsing, but Brando knows that there is one last step to go. He put away his stuff, turned off the hint of experience, looked up and saw a long hallway ahead.
This deep corridor seems to extend forwards in a circular space, surrounded by fog that is a glittering fragment of the past.
He knows that this is no longer Viscount Kader's dream, but his own.
Self-redemption is often the opportunity to hide in the deepest depths of human hearts.
Brando slowly moved forward, experiencing darkness, and then the light came from all directions, spilling on him. Finally, he saw a door, immersed in darkness and silence, with a bronze lock and a silver crescent moon, a memory as fresh as it was yesterday, and Brando didn't stop, but walked up and pushed the door open.
The thick wooden door opened with a squeak.
Behind the door is the center of the palace.
Palace of Kinteng, Grand Hall of Ancestors -
A dark ray of light drowned from the dome, silence in the lobby, the throne in the centre of the palace and a silver crown on the bloody red throne. The crown has a slender elf-style, with mountains to the south and clouds to the north, and many of Brando's memories carry it because it was once the symbol of Eluin.
An unnamed artisan built the laurel, with which King Acme crowned the Grey Wind Fortress, and dozens of kings sat on it for a long time, but they were exhausted into dust.
Once the pages of history had been turned, it welcomed its last master, a beautiful half-Pokémon girl.
Brando saw the light silver light refracted from the crown, almost the same color as Princess Griffin's silver hair, but this moment seemed so gloomy after the glow had dissipated.
Does it know where its former owner is now?
Has it ever watched the beautiful princess sleep permanently in this palace?
It may not care about contaminating the blood, because it is a dead thing, but it merely relies on the greed of mortals.
Brando walked right into the middle of the hall, and the palace was empty, but... He knew that at some point there were many kings sitting here, even Her Royal Highness the Elder Princess, who walked gracefully from this red carpet laid to the main palace, where the knights bowed down to her.
In another period of time, he stood here with his sister, the same broken hall, the dim light, the outside wind mixed with the fire, and the killing came from far away.
It was the final cry of dying Eruin, as if it were a sign of moaning before the collapse of the palace.
But now he's the only one left.
Everything is just like old times.
Brando sees the flames burning in from outside the palace, turning the palace into a burning hell of a bear. The columns collapsed and the art of beauty was transformed into dust, and he stood alone in the center of the flame.
“Why aren't you afraid of failure?” A weak voice asked.
That's Viscount Cadell's voice.
“I'm afraid of failure," Brando saw the pale man emerge from the flames, picking up the crown, putting it aside, and sitting on the throne, answering, "but I'm more afraid of not seeing my heart. ”
“Death is not terrible; what is terrible is being lost. ”
Viscount Cadell stood silently opposite Brando.
It took a long time for him to sigh.
Brando saw him turn to the fire, his back disappearing into the flames, and he heard the ghost sigh: "Sorry, Bedice. I'm sorry, Lord St. Osor. ”
Brando, close your eyes.
It was as if he had another long dream in his dreams, in which Viscount Cadell was not called Viscount Cadell, and he had another identity. They call him King of the Sun, Cadelfred, who once had a fiancée, a woman named Bedis Ramona Moon Leaf, because only such a noble name would bear the name of the Fairy of the Wind.
But the remembered Viscount Cadell had died in the woods with his fiancée.
Brando opened his eyes and the fire burned beneath the throne, but the dream was still awake, and he sat on the throne, not knowing whether it was right or wrong - but it was indeed his choice. There was a huge collapse in the flame, and Brando thought the columns on the side of the hall had collapsed, but suddenly a shadow broke out of the fire and grabbed his hand.
“Follow me--”
Brando slightly raised his head and saw the familiar shadow moving forward in the flame, his floating black hair appearing extraordinarily bright in the scorching air.
“Sister? ”
The shadow did not answer, just dragged him across the fire, the palace collapsed beside the two people, the direction could hardly be discerned in the thick smoke rolling, the temperature seemed to get hotter and the rolling mist gradually covered all sight.
After a moment, Brando felt like he was walking completely in the fog, and he couldn't tell if he was still in the Palace of Kinteng. But the mist suddenly split right and left, and the cool moonlight seemed to fall from the sky and spill on him.
Brando flashed slightly, and he raised his head.
There were still palaces and fires around, only the shadowy cedar forest, he noticed that the cold light was not moonlight at all, but a light blue light in the sky.
That's the tide of magic.
The burgeoning cloudshadow reflected the light on Brando's face, and the knight in front dragged him two more steps before releasing his hand and turning back.
Both are sweaty.
Brando looked at the knight's pale face and shook it before coming out: “Nimais? ”
The knight didn't answer, she turned around and walked into the woods. Brando saw Haruze curled under a tree, sleeping, with a bright crystalline line line hanging from the corner of his mouth - this guy actually drooling in his dreams.
Brando thought about the way the little prince was dreaming, and it was kind of hard to imagine.
Instead of waking him up, Nimmasis walked up to His Royal Highness, took the cape off his body and put it on him. Brando saw her take care of people, and more than once he remembered Sister Bai.
“You're not hiding anything from me, Ms. Nimatis.” He suddenly asked.
“Don't ask, thank you,” Nimaisie turned around and replied softly, "Just once, give me some time--”
Brando flickered slightly...
He looked at Nimatis like that, and they were silent for a while, but soon there was a slight chirp in the woods, and Brando turned around and watched Laurena and Phyllis come out of the bush holding hands.
The knights from the Cruz Empire also looked at Brando strangely when they saw him with Nimmasis.
“Ha, Count, I didn't expect you to be faster than us.” Phyllis performed much more directly, "he exclaimed.“ I just had a weird dream that really pissed me off. ”
“What's going on?” It wasn't unexpected that the lucky couple would get out of their dreams first, but what he was curious about was what pissed the guy off.
Before Laurena could stop it, Phyllis had spoken out: “Dreaming of that big fucking prince marrying Laurena, hmm, is delusional. ”
“So how did you solve it?” When Brando saw the knight blush because of Phyllis' words, he realized that the dream must have been wonderful, and he eased his mind and continued to ask curiously.
“Bullshit, of course. Kill him.” Phyllis replied with hatred.
Brando heard a big sweat and thought this guy was being a little too harsh. Isn't the Grand Prince of Cruz, the first successor to the Empire, the one who told him to kill him and kill him? You know, dreams are so real, maybe Phyllis didn't even think about whether he was in dreams or reality when he did it.
But he looked at this guy, and suddenly he was a little sudden, and it was probably the only one who would never be mesmerized by the mist in his heart.
“You're lucky, Miss Laurena.” Brando said.
The lady's cheeks were slightly red and she punched Phyllis hard: “This guy didn't go through his brain and scared the shit out of me. ”
Fellas hey hey smile, Brando smiles a little too, he is lucky for Fellas and Laurena, not everything in the world can be satisfied, but few people have the essence to insist on the same in adversity.
He raised his head and there was no moonlight in the sky. Floating clouds have just swept over this forest, and the tide has reached its most intense moment.
……
A few hours seemed to pass, and Freya and Cee stepped out of their dreams. And Metisa, Charles, and Hippamilla themselves had long since stopped dreaming, and they had just been lost because of Brando's loss, and had come a long time after Brando had left the dream.
Then there were the scattered knights and other members of the team, and then Nimatis counted the numbers and found out that the team had split by half, and that all the missing people had been lost in the forest forever and could never be recovered.
With that in mind, everyone had to chill out and have a whole new understanding of the horrors of the forest.
Brando asked privately about Freya and Sy's experience, and Freya did experience the nightmare of fleeing Butch again, as he had expected. But she said there was no Brando in her dream, which shocked Brando.
And Freya also told him that she had a completely different Butch night, and that the future goddess of martial arts had not gone into too much detail, but just said thank you softly in the end.
Brando could have guessed what happened to her, just as he could have guessed the night she would return to Butch. Perhaps for this goddess, that is the most important memory of her life.
A memory that changed her life.
As for Sy, the Mountain Girl didn't say much, just watched him quietly for a moment and stopped following him. Brando couldn't think of what she was dreaming about.
But like everyone else, everyone seems to be particularly quiet after leaving their dreams.
Most people depend on each other, clustered in the forest, as if they were remembering their dreams.
The mornings that you will never see in the Everlasting Night Forest, just like this, bring a new day in the sense of time to all -
