The Amber Sword

Chapter 794: Act 130 White Gorge

As Brando went to the spiral lobby, an exhausted knight's regiment was passing through the icy forest, sparkling with light. The forest is silent in a world of silver vegetables, and every branch grown from the trunk of a snow and white tree is as crystal fragile as glass, and when you touch it gently, it will click once and for all into a powder.

Heavy footsteps, ranging from far to near, reveal the tension of the host at varying steps.

It was followed by the sound of a whirlwind, like a bug crawling beneath the grass, but it was actually some kind of four-legged beast's gentle footsteps.

“These damn things!” The young knights of the Knights of the Folding Sword chewed their teeth and cursed their turns to pull out their swords.

The next moment, a demon with white fur emerges from the darkness - a snowy wolf, all snowy, with a scorching yellow light except for a pair of cold, icy eyeballs; the wolves roar through the thorny groves with thorns and attack from the bushes, under the snow heap, and in all directions.

The moment seemed to be stationary, with a low-whirring winter wolf on the one hand and a roaring knight on the other.

“Fifteen heads. ”

“Seven heads this way. ”

The action of the Winter Wolf burst was rated in cold air, then a narrow and bright blade pierced its throat, then lightning retracted, and the white beast rolled over to the edge of the bush.

The knights took a neat step back, leaving a long row of bodies quietly flowing with dirty black blood, black smoke rising from the monster's body and disappearing.

The wolves cross their own corpses like rolling snowwalls, standing side by side in low whistles, silver hair without wind, and with these demons roaring, the dark magic in the forest is converging at a rate visible to the naked eye.

Magic forms an entangling blue curve, then condenses into crystalline cold ice prisms, which are suspended for a moment in the middle of the sky, and the next moment is like a storm.

“Ma-sa-on! ”

Accompanied by a hissing roar, a halo unfolded from the knights of the Knights of the Folding Sword. The knights waved their long swords to crush the ice prism. Few pieces of clearance through the sword blade also hit the halo on the armor, crushing bones and exploding into an ice mist.

Blunded frowned and punched the winter wolf's open blood basin in the mouth, almost punching it back, with splashing blood flowers and broken teeth. Then he turned his back and split one sword on the elongated cheek of the winter wolf, who bowed down, leaving a deep visible bone wound there.

The beast whimpered and turned away with the bleeding wound and disappeared into the darkness.

“Hahahahaha,” Alaia's crude laughter came from one side, and Brenda looked in that direction, seeing her companion's mouth full of blood, and he actually bit a wolf, and he laughed out loud: “They bit me, and I bit it. What's fair, that's fair. So I like to fight, no matter where you come from, everybody's equal, Brenda. ”

His neck was covered in thick gauze, shaking and pale as paper, and the area injured last night was constantly infiltrated with blood, but that did not stop his fierce temper and loud voice, in fact someone stopped him from rising from the stretcher to take part in the battle.

Brenda frowned: "Where's your upbringing, Alaia? ”

“I only educate educated people, who educate dogs.” Alleyaman replied carelessly.

“It's not a dog, it's a wolf.” Rollo corrected.

“It's all the same. ”

Blunded ignored the two guys, and he threw away the bloody beads on the dark steel blade, looked up, and the forest was like a black hole illusion, far away from the shadow of a white beast.

And further afield, that elegant stag is parked on a snow-white rock, seemingly waiting for them to continue.

Since tracking it, they have been trekking in the snow for hours in a row, and the winter wolves have been tracking them all night in the forest, each cold and sleepy, supported by their will.

Like the Eruins, the Krutz are superstitious that the rare elegant creatures in these forests bring good luck, and indeed this stag leads them all night to find a path forward from the dark forests, as if they were sheltered by the underwater gods.

However, the scenery is not long, as the sky has become bright, the first dawn has appeared in the eastern sky, and everyone can see a long white wall - a glacial cliff stretching over the canopy, with its crystalline ice gleaming beneath the dawn.

The glacier went down on Blunded's chest, making his heart thump.

Is there really a way forward?

Freya gasped slightly, and her bright, pale brown eyes were equally puzzled.

“Ladies, I'm afraid there's no way forward. What do we do now?” A knight of the Knights of the Folds shouted loudly.

“Without a path, the glacier cannot continue, and since the stag has brought us here, there must be some way around it.” Little Pero replied.

This sick Cruz young man, wrapped in a thick bear coat with a fine sword and a crossbow, fought nothing less than his own companion. Many winter wolves have fallen under his feet, and every wound is a blow to death.

Seeing others move their eyes to themselves, Little Pello slowly continued, "Just find the natural edges of these broken glaciers ——”

“Will there be?” Freya couldn't help but come out and cover her mouth, so if she wasn't confident, it really didn't look like she was coming from the commander.

“Yes,” replied Little Pero, glancing at Freya with certainty, "if that was indeed a naturally formed glacier. ”

“What if it's not?” Alaia stepped up two steps to catch up from behind and heard the conversation.

The ill young man swept him and did not answer.

Alaia opened her mouth and he was not afraid of Brenda, from a large aristocratic family, even in front of the Crown Prince, but he could not lift his head like a cat in front of Little Pelo alone, for whatever reason, even he could not think of himself.

But that doesn't mean he can't talk with his big mouth. He thought about it and complained, "If I were you, we shouldn't believe a deer. I don't know what you're thinking. ”

“I'm sorry, it's my decision.” Freya stood up and answered.

“I'm not targeting you, Commander. I was just wondering, how so many of us were so evil, and no objection was raised at the time.” Alaia replied that the commanding lady from Eluin was far less powerful than they were and that the level of tactics was no more than average, but that did not mean that they could disrespect her.

She wouldn't have been trapped if it weren't for finding out what happened to Enica.

At least she has the consciousness and the courage to be a commander, a feeling they often feel on Veronica.

“This is the singularity of the whole thing," Brend walked in after a wave of attacks against the Winter Wolf: “Alaia, we Krutz and Eruins grew up listening to the legend of the stag, and the stags in the dark forest, like the unicorns, are the incarnations of goodness and order, who once guided the Lord of Fire, who also guided Ace, who guided us again today. You didn't stand up against it because you agreed to it. ”

“Nonsense.” The rough knight spat.

“Alaia, it's understandable that you Inyrians have never heard of a stag.” Brenda smiled softly: “But you have to admit that there are some mysterious things in the world that cannot be explained. ”

Freya just noticed that Alleya did seem to have some Inyer lineage, as evidenced by the light blonde curly hair on his forehead and a narrow nostril, and that he spoke with a strong local accent, and that the knight looked like he was from Fanzan or a more northern race.

But Alaia jumped like she was stuck in a painful foot: "Brend, what do you mean by that? ”

“As I said, if you were a little more confident, you wouldn't consider birth and descent an attack.” Brend answered with no surprise.

“Humph!” The former grunted heavily, but no longer answered.

Freya had long been accustomed to arguing between the two, but even letting them argue over one would not solve the current dilemma.

What we need to do now is to stop the wolves once and for all.

“In any case, we have to beat them before we bypass the glacier and continue north.” Freya paused and said to others: "Meet Ms. Brando and Veronica, if possible. ”

“It's too hard to get rid of the wolves in the woods.” Rollo frowned and shook his head.

“How do you know if you don't try?” Alaia turned back and replied with indifference.

“You don't know wolves, Alaia, you don't know how cunning they are. ”

“It's nature. I'm not a mountain man. How do I know these beasts?” He laughed at the stall.

The dark-skinned Mountain Knight stared at the former without a word.

“Exactly,” a young girl from Butch Countryside pulled her cape off: “That's why we need to fight back. We can't get caught up in them, and we have to take the initiative to beat them until they don't dare to chase them again. ”

When Little Pero saw Freya tied her cape to a spear, he immediately understood what they were thinking: “This is too risky. If you expose yourself, maybe that silver monster is ambushing around, and it's obviously coming for you. ”

Freya hesitated, "I can't think about it any more, we're all exhausted, I don't want to be driven forward by the wolves, waiting to die when I'm too tired to walk. ”

She raised the flag in her hand: “I am the commander, and now I command everyone to break through, and if I fall, you will take over my flag and pass the message from that monster to Ms. Brando and Veronica. ”

“You're just a trainee commander. ”

A slightly colder voice came from behind her, and Freya felt someone holding the spear in her hand, and she looked back at Nimaisi's faceless face.

“Sister Nimaisi? ”

“Leave the flag to me.” The black-haired knight gently took that simple flag from her: “I command you to come down. ”

“Sister...”

“Stop talking nonsense and give orders. ”

Freya took a deep breath and looked back at the others, little Pero and Brend nodding their heads at her. Her eyes swept through the volatile forests and snowfields and she had a plan in mind.

“The queen of the Flaming King, the knights of Cruz, focuses on the flag, with both wings closing in towards the center. ”

The girl's crisp voice echoed through the forest, and all the knights of the Knights of the Folds turned back stunned. A silver flag had been raised in the forest, clearly a cape for hunting and dancing in the morning breeze.

The cloak is also embroidered with a white lion crest.

“Knights, prepare to advance! ”
