The Amber Sword

Chapter 811: Act 144 Freya's Hidden Mission?

Freya fainted and woke from the cold, but not into a layer of glacial canyon stacked like an ice knife. Her ears no longer haunted the low whirl of the shivering canyon ice breeze. She remembered being on the windward side of the glacier when she fainted, but now she was in a quiet mountain. I don't know how long she was in a coma, the ice seemed to penetrate the limb wreckage, she bit her teeth and finally climbed out of the snow. But Freya suddenly noticed something she'd never seen before.

Just outside the shaky field of view, standing a little thing, kind of like a small snowman, but one of its thin arms is not made up of the usual dry branches of trees, but of ice crystals; the little thing's hands are stacked between the waist, half bent over, not far away probing and looking at Freya, kind of like the butler's pie in Lord's castle, just not tall, with an ice-crystalline moustache on his face and eyebrows, under his eyebrows, a pair of bright crystal of eyes sparkling.

Freya freaked out, she'd never seen anything like it, woke up and sat up from the snow like a spring. But she didn't expect her sudden move to scare each other. The little thing was scared back two steps and tripped onto a tree root, and then sat down in the snow with one ass for half a day before climbing up, and then the two of them stared at each other.

There is an awkward silence in the snow.

So half-hearted, Freya finally realized that the other side didn't seem hostile, and she thought about it and asked, "Did you bring me here? ”

The snowman snowed and hurried to pat the end of the snow on his body and stood up and bowed respectfully to Freya: "No, not me, my lord brought you here, my dear little master.” It actually speaks Cruz, but the tone is slightly strange, like a duck barking, making people feel very funny.

Freya couldn't close her mouth and turned into an 'O’ shape, which was quite shocked by her name. “Wait, what do you call me? Who's your master? ”

“The master is the master, my dear little master.” The snowman answered in a very natural tone, as if the correct answer to the question should be so.

“Wait, I'm not a little master, are you mistaken? ”

“The master says you are the most honorable guest here, and the master has asked us to treat you with the courtesy of the little master, who must be right. ”

Freya feels like she's running out of brains, and she just thinks that if Brando were here, he'd be able to figure out what happened quickly. However, the young girl from Bucci Country was not stupid. She touched the strap first: Lion Heart Sword was still in the sword sheath at the end of the place; then she touched the waistbag: Brando gave her the tablet safely, even the ruby ring was still in her hand, and she took a slight breath of relief, indicating that at least the other party had no malice.

She calmed down a little bit and asked the snowman, "Hello, what should I call you? ”

The snowman put a hand like a branch on his chest and learned human etiquette to pray to her: "We are the Tollifen fairies who have lived here for generations, my dear little master, we have no name, you can call us' hello 'or' come here ', we are all the same to you anyway, but there are some differences, just count our beards and eyebrows carefully, and you will find out how many they are and how they are not very different in shape. ”

The introduction of the Tolliffen Fairy was not finished, and Freya burst out laughing. The little things learned the manners of the human aristocracy with an eye, but the words were not marginal, which was really a bit funny. She smiled and asked, "Where is your master? ”

“The owner is in the house. ”

“The house? Can I see him? ”

“The master said that if the little master wakes up, he will take you to him. ”

“Take me to him?” Freya has some doubts: “Can we do this now? ”

Tolliffen Fairy nodded.

Freya stood up from the snow and patted herself in the corner before realizing that her injuries had recovered. She remembered that she had been badly injured before she passed out and killed the silver monster with the last blow. She couldn't remember what had happened at that time. She only remembered that the tablet in her bag had fallen out and sparkled in the snow, and she felt like she had fallen into a furnace in pain, and then people were left unattended. But the tablet was still well placed in her waistbag, and she pinched it with her hands, as cold as before, without a slight change.

Freya didn't know if her wound recovery was related to the change, or if it was related to the mysterious owner of these little fairies, but she saw that little snowman figure had climbed to the front of the mountain mouth, and she stood under a white thorn bush and waved at her, and Freya hurried up.

Freya finds herself in a seemingly secluded valley, behind the Tolliffen Fairy, first through a dense forest of white thorns that she has seen before, and the whole valley seems to be distributed, these white thorns can grow to heights, like the trees outside, just bent down at the top of it, hanging a luminous fruit, like a street lamp, softly illuminating the winding roads in the jungle.

There are many animals in the white forest, at least Freya sees a squirrel with gray white fur, searching for the seeds of the bushes beneath the thorn bushes, occasionally passing in groups from the pavement of the trail, or guarding her as an outsider with big dark eyes. On the thorns that cross from the top of their heads, there are many birds like freckles, except that these birds have silver feathers and long tail feathers, and they are not afraid to live at all, leaving Freya and the fairy to walk underneath, but instead crooked their heads to gauge her as a speedy guest.

After a short walk, the white thorns suddenly split left and right. Freya's eyes were slightly bright, and there was a surprising divine color on the surface. After the thorn bushes split apart, a mountain spring surrounded by jungle emerged from the rear. The mountain spring drowned from the rock wall and fell into a pond. The steam in the pond rose, obviously a geothermally formed hot spring. None of this is surprising, however, as she sees green vegetation and grassland on the land next to the hot springs, on which lies a dark blue stag.

The stag obviously noticed her too, and Freya didn't know if she was delusional, and she saw the other person revealing a gentle look to her.

This led her to recognize each other, the very same stag that led them all out of their predicament the night before.

She seemed to understand something, but at this point the Tollifen fairy who led the way stopped and looked back at Freya; the amazed young girl looked forward and found that the white thorn bush had reached the end of the front, an empty space in front of the mountain wall, an artificial building carved out on the mountain wall, forming an arch with three or four people high. Freya looked at the arch, then at the Tolliffen Fairy, who had stopped, and said, "Do you want me to come in? ”

Snowman nodded.

Freya had to muster the courage to walk into the cave a few steps further, the light around her dimmed, but after adjusting to the dark environment, she gradually saw the inside of the cave, behind the arch was a natural cave, as if the artificial axe marks outside were just to decorate the entrance to the cave. Like most of the glacier caves here, the cave * * wall is made up of smooth ice, except that the cave is not deep enough to extend 20 or 30 feet inward, and then it stops and is truncated by a vertical ice wall.

Freya couldn't help but stare. What about the master of the fairy's mouth? The hole * * is completely empty.

But just as she was confused, the ice wall in front suddenly melted, forming a small door, and a voice said, "Come in, Miss Freya. ”

“Do you know me?” Freya startled, asking.

But the voice didn't answer, and Freya was nervous and curious. She was really worried about Brando, Nimmasis and the little prince, but she couldn't figure out where she was. She waited a while to see the voice and didn't mean to keep talking, so she had to go through the little door on the ice wall with a short lower body and a half bend. The thick ice wall was about ten feet long, and after passing through the small door, it suddenly felt bright in front of the eyes, and the surrounding temperature had risen several degrees, before the cold in the valley, there was a warm smell. Freya raised her head in amazement and found that behind the ice wall was a very comfortable room, just as she had seen the setting of those aristocratic study rooms in Ambesseur, with tables, high chairs, bookshelves, a fireplace, thick carpets on the ground, bright flames in the fireplace, books on the shelf, silver candlesticks and plates on the table, soft candlelight, dishes filled with food of all colours, hot food, as if it had just been brought out of the oven.

The room was empty, but someone automatically pulled a chair for Freya and put a plate and a knife and fork on it, like inviting her to take a seat. “Have a seat.” The voice sounded again, he said.

Freya knew that if she didn't do what they said, the voice wouldn't care about herself, and she hesitated and sat up. Immediately, a white porcelain teacup automatically flew off the shelf next to her and placed it in front of her, then the silver teapot on the table seemed to be held up by an invisible hand, tilted slightly and poured tea for her.

Tea is beautiful red, like an onion in a cup.

Freya was a little rushed, her hands on her knees, suddenly remembering what she had learned in the etiquette class, and said subconsciously: "Thank you. ”

The voice was like seeing the restraint of this girl from Butch countryside, couldn't help laughing.

“Don't be nervous," he said. "Don't be nervous. It's been a long time since we've had guests here. ”

Freya took a gentle breath, and she didn't know what it meant to have not had guests in a long time, whether they had been here or not. She asked with confusion, "Hello, are you the owner here? Did you save me? ”

“We'll discuss this later. Try my tea first.” The voice replied gently.

Drinking something unknown in a totally strange place was not a wise thing, but Freya thought it was unnecessary and hesitated, but she held onto the white porcelain teacup and took a sip. The black tea was delicious and smelled like milk. After the entrance, she felt like she was exhausted. Even the soreness caused by sleeping in the snow disappeared for a moment. But she didn't have the heart to drink the tea, but took a sip and put the cup down with all her heart.

“How about that?” asked the voice.

“Well, good, thanks for the hospitality.” Freya replied with discretion.

“Like you're worried? ”

Freya's not an idiot, and now she can confirm that she's the owner.

'Cause I don't know what this place is, and I'm confused. ”

“It's just a ‘place’ because it's not essentially different from the other ‘places', and if you think about it seriously, you'll find it doesn't matter to you, right?” The voice answered.

Freya thought it was strange, but she couldn't say it was wrong. What she really cared about was not where she was, but how far away she was from Brando and Nimaisi. She nodded honestly: "Yes, I'm worried about my people, I lost them. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cause you any trouble, but can you help me get out of here? ”

She paused: "… or you can tell the fairies. ”

“Don't worry,” the voice said, "Miss Freya, don't worry, I've led each of you here to ask you to do me a favor. ”

“Are you guiding us?” Freya remembers the stag she saw outside the door, and she couldn't help but believe it: “But who are you and how can we help you? ”

“My power is weak, but it's not hard to bring you here, because I know what you're here for, so just tell me where you're going.” The voice laughed: “Long story short, after all, there's not much time left for me to introduce myself, my name is Milondar, as the Cruz call it —— Milos. ”

Tap, Freya's cup fell onto the tray, and even the tea splashed onto the tablecloth, and she didn't realize it. Before she came here, she hadn't even heard the name, but soon, it was as deeply engraved in her memory as the ice cream in the forest, and Brando's words echoed over and over in her heart, shocking her gaze.

“You, you, you...”

“You're right, I was the first frost giant in the world, and they honored me as a father, and you humans called me a god, and I accepted all of them because I was qualified to be. ”

“But..." Freya wanted to say, but since the stars fell, the gods had long since left the world, legend had it that they had gone away with the dragon of dusk and would never return. Although many of their shrines had been built in Warnde to commemorate the time when God and man coexisted, everyone understood that the age of mortals had come. But this is somehow inexplicable, and she has been stunned by this sudden news.

“Are you confused?” But that voice was like seeing what she thought.

Freya calmed herself down and nodded.

“You don't have to be so surprised, Milos is long gone, I'm just a myth of great will. ”

“A myth? ”

“People's minds can be haunted over and over again by the problems they most wanted to solve in their lifetime, and this myth can occasionally become ghostly, but if you are too strong in your own existence, this thought can become substantial, just like mine.” The voice replied gently.

“Are you saying there's something bothering you, but shouldn't the gods know all about it? ”

“Perhaps only Lord Martha can be all-knowing, and we think more than you do, but my mythology has nothing to do with you, it's just mediocrity. But today I want you to do me a favor, Freya, and it's not just about you and your friends, it's about the young master of Valhalla, I know him, right? ”

“Brando?” Freya was almost shocked to get up.

The voice did not answer, but Freya felt strange and nodded silently.

“What do you want me to do for you?” Freya had to be careful and ask how she could help, even though she thought it must have been a mistake and even the gods were troubled by it.

The house was silent for a moment.

“I want you to stop me from being resurrected. ”

Half a mile, that voice slowly opened the mouth.

“What!” Freya bounced off the chair as if she had been electrocuted, as if she had heard the most incredible thing since she was born, with a full face of amazement: "What are you talking about!? ”

“Stop my resurrection, Freya. ”

“That great will is gradually awakening from the darkness, and you don't understand what's going to happen, but for Warnde as a whole, it's a speculative fate. The age of the gods is over, and this has nothing to do with mythology. I don't know the answer to that question, but the Tianqing knight has given you an answer, which cannot be rewritten, Freya. ”
