The Amber Sword

Chapter 1457: Act 449 Awareness II

But even so, it is the most effective force in the territory of Eruin, where the intelligence system of the old aristocrats is overwhelmed.

So who can make Valhalla look like a blind man?

And it might be more than that.

Because she understands that it was the royal party that facilitated this meeting, even though the local nobles had decided to break with the royal family, and even if they could hide the royal family's sights, their inextricable ties could not be completely hidden from the royal party's top.

Unless.

Someone deliberately blindfolded others, creating an artificial illusion behind this carefully concealed truth.

“Someone betrayed us," Princess Griffin also wanted to understand. She gritted her lips tightly and glistened in pain: “We went to Jean Denel, where at least one of the Tingens in charge of communicating and coordinating with the local nobility hid the most critical information from us and betrayed us...”

Her Royal Highness held her fist tightly because she had almost guessed the man's name.

That was her most trusted elder, her teacher and predecessor, the most admired example of the Eruin aristocrats she had ever had. She hardly wanted to say that name, so it would sting all her fantasies and memories of the past of the kingdom.

“Perhaps not necessarily that person,” Antittina quickly understood, softly consoling, “Your Highness, you must muster courage at this time. ”

Though the staff lady herself did not believe in the comfort. Macaro and Count Odin both had access to the inside, but by comparison, that man was closer to the heart of the King.

And after Manowell's return to the Church, Ovewell himself wrote that the movements of Grand Duke Goran-Elson and the Southern army were normal.

This letter now appears to be a bloody handprint on the evidence.

It's just this fingerprint that may have strangled the throat of the Eluin royal family today.

When Her Royal Highness stood up, she felt somewhat suffocated, bringing together nobles and participants from large and small places in the city of Magitan, how many of them were rebels or at least rebel sympathizers? Just to think about it, she must have been cold, and the other party had already known that a messenger from Lantoniland had arrived at Gray Pine Castle, perhaps they had sent someone to spy on the estate in secret.

Antittina was also apparently aware of the seriousness of the problem, and she looked somewhat vigilantly out of the landing arch on the side of the hall and whispered: "We must find a way to move to a safe place, good thing that Ms. Brunhildel's premises are not far from here, and that there is a credible White Lion Guard stationed inside the castle. ”

Griffin shook his head and there were too few White Lion Guards in the city, relying mainly on the guards in the castle itself, but these guards were not necessarily reliable at this time of year. She asked, "Can you find a way to reach Ms. Brunshild? ”

“There's a subpoena crystal.” Freya immediately removed the white lion-style brooch from her chest, but she turned over the brooch and changed her face. The dark red gemstone on the other side of the silver brooch is dimly lit as if it had lost its power:

“Someone blocked the magic network in this area! ”

Antittina and Princess Griffin changed their faces at the same time, and the other side had already acted, and the messenger's story had certainly not been hidden. It is normal that potential informants may be present in the castle, but it also indicates that their situation may be precarious at the moment.

“We must leave this place immediately.” Antina came to an immediate conclusion.

“But the secret passage is not necessarily safe, and the secret passage of Gray Pine Castle is for foreign enemies, and this secret passage is not necessarily available if the local nobility also stands opposite us.” Freya replied cautiously.

“We have another path,” Princess Griffin said, thinking about it, "most castles actually have more than one secret passage, which was once the property of Count Denel, but it was founded by an ascendant count, and my father came here a few times in an era when Denel was still close to the royal family, because of a coincidence of opportunity he knew a secret passage that only the Denel family knew, which leads to the misty forest. ”

Speaking of which, Her Royal Highness also blushed. As both Antina and Freya had heard about the fascination between Obergu VII's youth and Countess Jean de Nell, it was clear that the secret passage should have been a bridge between the two parties at the time, but the Lady of Staff and Her Excellency Eruin's goddess of martial arts did not declare it, just because they did not hear what it meant.

Antitina coughed softly and said to Freya: "Freya, you call the White Lion Guard, you call as many people as you can, but you don't have to take risks, and you don't have to take everyone's luck with you. As for the rest of the castle, you don't have to notify them. You can tell them that Her Royal Highness is calling the royal party and the nobles, and that there is something to announce--”

“I understand. ”

“I'll destroy the paperwork and the letterhead.” Antitina replied: "Everything but the parts that must be taken must be burned in situ. ”

“Let me help you, Miss Antina. ”

Griffin sighed softly and suddenly felt a sudden weakness and powerlessness, just like the despair of her betraying relatives that day in Ambethel, but this time, there were at least people around her who could count on it.

But she had to wonder if the knight who saved herself and Eluin one time at a time was truly as radiant and eye-catching as she saw it?

But the lady looked at her and shook her head: “First, you have to sort out your emotions. You can't do this right now. Second, you have to wear makeup. Your elf features are too obvious. Do you wear makeup, Your Highness? ”

“A little bit. ”

Antitina shook her head: "I asked my lady to help you. She was the one I brought from Tonigal, the reliable one. ”

Gryphine can only nod her head.

Since Count Denel's defeat, this vast family has collapsed and its immediate relatives have either been arrested or hanged by the Royal Party in the name of rebellion. It took Griffin some time to find the entrance to the secret passage in the Count's study - which, apparently, His Highness's father at the time was simply unclear.

The entrance to that secret passage was in the clamping wall behind the fireplace, and the entire fireplace was cleverly designed to be moveable, opening it and revealing the entrance to the black hole behind it.

Griffin confirmed that the dusty secret passage should not have been opened since that era, because it itself represented a dishonorable history for the Denel family, and when she saw that thick layer of ash and spider web at the entrance, she understood that she was not mistaken.

But standing in front of this entrance, Her Royal Highness had a moment of trance in her heart, and she thought that perhaps decades earlier her younger father had stepped into the staircase of this black hole, one father and one daughter, in a very different period, in a very different mood, into this same secret passage, which gave her a sense of misplacement of time.

Today, the secret passage remains, but for Eruin it is long overdue, and those who belong to the past, one by one, left the stage and thanked them for their lives.

This includes her father, Obergu VII of Eruin.

At that moment, she remembered her childhood and a series of experiences that she had endured since leaving Corcova, as if they were still yesterday.

“Will one day I leave the world too, Father? ”

When Griffin took that step, it gave rise to such an idea in his heart.

In addition to Antina and Freya, there were a total of seventeen accompanying personnel, one of whom was an Antina woman and the rest were White Lion Guard knights. There should have been more, but the insurgents seemed to have perceived their intentions and had waged riots in Grey Pine Castle in advance. After a bitter battle to repel the guards in the castle, those were the only people left, and almost everyone was wounded.

“Is this secret passage really safe?” In the darkness, Antittina suddenly asked.

“It's only known to a few within the Denel family," Griffin continued after a pause, "and this is the only option we have left, regardless of whether this secret passage is safe or not. ”

“I should have let Ms. Brunshild stay in the castle, knowing that.” Freya answered with some frustration.

“Unless you want them to be exposed to the world," Princess Griffin grinned. "Mr. Brando wouldn't agree, and Ms. Brunhild, they are certainly special. ”

Silence continues in the darkness.

It was as if only a few words of conversation were meant to alleviate the anxiety between them, but the ladies soon stopped speaking to each other, leaving nothing but cluttered footsteps.

The secret passage is a downward staircase that the knights illuminate with cold-lit gemstones, and the staircase keeps going down, and soon they find themselves in a natural melting hole. But the terrain here is not complicated. Underneath the cave, there seems to be underground water stored beneath the gray pine fort. In the darkness, there is a large pool of water, and the stone clock milk rises from the pool and the dense numbness is attached to the top of the cave.

This cave, as rumoured, leads straight north and there are artificial sculptures along the way, which relieves Griffin. Her father did not actually tell her about the anecdotes of her youth. She only determined the location of the place through a few phrase-only fragments, but she feared that her judgment would go wrong and that everything was moving in the right direction.
