Chapter 2486 - 2484: The Little Demon Runs Rampant
In the Yunmeng Marsh Dragon Palace, the Old Dragon King was calling the Little Madam up to drink wine.
He had found an opportunity for his son to be with a Superior Immortal, naturally boasting about it.
On a normal day, only the third son was allowed to stay by their side.
He indulged in idleness all day, mingling with other Immortal Second Generations.
The Old Dragon King was often distressed, but with the Little Madam’s protection, this son could neither be scolded nor beaten.
Now, things finally seemed better, as the little wife was happily offering him wine, saying eagerly, "Dragon King, you haven’t shown favoritism this time. When Ao Jie achieves greatness, serving you every day, he will hold no resentment."
The Old Dragon King caressed her little hand, saying, "Look at what you’re saying. If I’m not good to you, should I be better to those old hags? Rest assured, that boy following this Superior Immortal will indeed have great fortune. My ten thousand years of life weren’t lived in vain. Once he achieves something, I’ll pull some strings to get him a Water God title in the Heavenly Court, and leave the most bountiful Dongting Lake in Yunmeng Marsh under his control. He will then enjoy endless offerings from the Human Realm, and you, his wife, will surely share the joy."
The little wife was so delighted, she kept pouring the Old Dragon King more wine, saying, "So many young Dragon Sons wooed me before, but it was I who had the foresight to find such a caring husband!"
The Old Dragon King laughed, "Indeed, how could those dragon sons compare to me? Though I’m older, I’m still vigorous!"
He pulled the little wife into his arms and was about to kiss her.
But suddenly, the underwater palace trembled violently and shook.
The Old Dragon King cried out in surprise, "Who’s there, what’s happening?"
Chancellor Turtle quickly approached and reported, "Dragon King, don’t worry. I have already sent someone to investigate."
The Old Dragon King was infuriated, saying, "Darn it, can’t I have a moment of peace? Whoever it is, I’ll curse them out."
He set the little wife aside, adjusted his attire, and went to the front hall.
Before long, the Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals came rushing to report, scared out of their wits, "Dragon, Dragon King, it’s bad. A wild child has broken in, killing everyone he sees. You should escape while you can!"
"A child?"
The Old Dragon King was frustrated, saying, "Darn it, can’t even stop a pesky kid from storming the Dragon Palace?"
Above the water, a tremendous roar shook everything.
In his irritation with the Little Kirin, Hong Hai’er unleashed a Samadhi True Fire that roasted the surrounding thousand Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals into seafood.
He slapped the water’s surface with his flame spear, sending water soaring a hundred meters into the air and opening a black rift.
Hong Hai’er entered through the rift, reached the underwater palace, and immediately skewered two gatekeeping Dragon Palace Water Generals with his spear.
As he stormed inside, he mercilessly struck down anyone in his path.
The ferocity of his onslaught sent the Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals retreating in fear.
At this moment, the Old Dragon King, wielding a longsword, appeared with his men and cursed, "Which demon dares rampage in my Dragon Palace!"
Hong Hai’er stepped on a Shrimp Soldier’s body, pointed his spear at the Old Dragon King, and sneered, "I, the master of Hao Mountain Dry Pine Gully Fire Cloud Cave, Hong Hai’er, neither change my name while walking nor sitting. Your son dared to offend me, so today I will cleanse your Dragon Palace, to teach that stink brat the might of your granddaddy!"
"You are Hong Hai’er?"
The Old Dragon King was startled. Though he’d never met Hong Hai’er, he’d heard of this little demon’s reputation.
He trembled, clutching his longsword, and asked fearfully, "Weren’t you cultivating with Guanyin Bodhisattva?"
Hong Hai’er snorted indignantly, "You shouldn’t have brought that up; mentioning it only angers me further!"
He had sat in meditation for a thousand years before the Bodhisattva, unable to eat meat, kill, and even a fight would earn a Tight-binding Spell.
Now finally free, his mood soured by the mention.
He kicked the Shrimp Soldier at Old Dragon King, swinging his spear straight for the Dragon King.
The Old Dragon King, terrified, retreated quickly, shouting, "Protect me, protect me!"
A troop of Naval Soldiers shouted fiercely, "Kid, don’t get cocky!"
They charged with their weapons in hand, thrusting fiercely.
The Dragon Palace shook, rumbling with impact.
"You dare challenge me?"
Hong Hai’er swept his spear, its tip carrying sky-breaking power. Anything it touched was torn to shreds.
Contact meant death, and a mere touch led to an explosion.
Chancellor Turtle decisively dragged the Old Dragon King, "Dragon King, this pest is too dangerous, let’s avoid him for now!"
He led a group, pulling the Old Dragon King away.
The Old Dragon King, anxious, cried, "But my wife is still in the back palace!"
"You aren’t getting away!"
Though temporarily encircled by Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals, Hong Hai’er, too, couldn’t chase immediately. His rage intensified, and he set fire to the place.
His Samadhi True Fire was unparalleled.
A spout of True Fire breath raised the surrounding temperature sharply. Thousands of Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals vaporized instantly.
Terrified, everyone fled in all directions; none dared to obstruct him further.
Hong Hai’er burst from the front hall into the back palace, whereupon seeing wine and meat on the table, he picked up a jug of wine for a swig and grabbed some meat for a bite, thoroughly enjoying himself.
At this moment, a noblewoman stepped forward, shouting at him, "You audacious thief, who dares disrupt our Dragon Palace’s order?"
Hong Hai’er glanced at her, smirking coldly, "So you’re the Old Mud Eel’s wife? You look young enough to be roasted as my snack!"
This noblewoman was the Old Dragon King’s young wife, Ao Jie’s birth mother.
Realizing something wasn’t right, she turned to leave and shouted outside, "Where has everyone gone? How can this rogue run amok in the Dragon Palace?"
With a swift motion, a spear pierced her back, protruding from her chest.
Golden Dragon Blood gushed out, her eyes wide with disbelief.
The killing aura in the spear’s force violently shredded her soul, transforming her into a ten-meter-long Little Golden Dragon.
A group of Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals arrived, shrieking in horror at the sight, "The little demon has killed the Little Madam."
"Quick, run for your lives!"
"..."
Panicked, they scattered, none daring to confront Hong Hai’er directly.
Hong Hai’er withdrew his spear, sneering coldly at the Little Madam’s body, "Mother Mud Eel, your bloodline seems pure, a pure Golden Dragon indeed. I’ll take your dragon sinew and bring it back as entertainment for the little ones!"
He cut open her, extracting her dragon sinew, shot flames from his mouth, roasted her, and wolfed a few bites with wine. Finally satisfied, he left wielding his spear.
Upon leaving, urgently needing to urinate, he relieved himself on the Dragon Palace’s Town-abode Stone, stabbing a line with his spear: "I, your granddaddy, have been here!"
Soon after he left, Little Kirin and his party arrived.
Distraught Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals gathered around, prostrated themselves, wailing aloud, "Third Crown Prince, thank heavens you’ve returned. The Madam has been slain by a little demon!"
Ao Jie’s head spun, caught by Little Kirin, who solemnly demanded, "What of the Father King, is he unharmed?"
The Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals knelt, crying out, "The Dragon King is safe; by now he has likely gone to the East Sea to summon reinforcements!"
