Lei Hua completely exploded, pointing at Xu Ke’s nose and cursing him out!

Since they had already thrown all pretenses aside, Xu Ke didn’t bother tolerating Lei Hua’s temper. "Lei Hua, let me warn you too! From now on, if I see you harassing Xiaoxue again, I’ll break your damn legs!"
Leaving that harsh threat hanging in the air, an infuriated Xu Ke walked out of the ICBC and dialed Cheng Yuan’s number. The call connected quickly, and Cheng Yuan’s lazy voice came through.
"Xu Ke, you calling to thank me? What’s the need for that between brothers like us? It’s totally unnecessary! For me, it was just a matter of saying a few words."
Xu Ke gave a bitter smile. ’Brother Yuan is certainly optimistic...’
"Brother Yuan, the person you found isn’t reliable! I just got thrown out of the ICBC by Lei Hua."
The smile on Cheng Yuan’s face froze instantly!
’Didn’t Governor Zhou make the call? What’s going on?’
"Don’t go anywhere. I’ll ask about it."
"Okay!"
Cheng Yuan hung up and immediately dialed Zhou Yadong’s number.
The call connected quickly, and Zhou Yadong’s hearty voice came through. "Divine Doctor Cheng, thank you for saving my life! I feel fantastic right now!"
Cheng Yuan’s voice was cold. "Well, I’m not feeling fantastic. My brother was just thrown out of the ICBC by Lei Hua! Did you put in a word for him or not? Are you burning the bridge after you’ve crossed it?"
Zhou Yadong quickly apologized, "Divine Doctor Cheng, it’s my fault! I didn’t put in a word because I was planning to go handle President Xu’s loan in person! But I didn’t expect to get stuck in such bad traffic. I’m only two minutes away from the ICBC now! I’m sorry President Xu had to go through that!"
Cheng Yuan’s tone softened slightly. "Oh, so it was traffic? Then I misunderstood Governor Zhou. Should I have Xu Ke wait for you in the lobby?"
"Yes."
Cheng Yuan called Xu Ke back. The call was answered in a second, and Xu Ke’s slightly expectant voice came through. "Brother Yuan, what did your contact say? Did he not put in the word?"
"Governor Zhou didn’t put in a word, that’s true. But he said it’s because he’s coming to handle your loan personally! He’s a bit stuck in traffic, but he should arrive in about two minutes. I told him you’d be waiting in the lobby for him."

Xu Ke hung up, an excited expression on his face as he walked back into the bank’s lobby and found a random place to sit down.
Seeing Xu Ke, a few staff members began to whisper among themselves.

"That President Xu is pretty pathetic. I wonder how he offended Young Master Lei. I heard his company is about to go bankrupt."
Hearing this, Lin Xiaoyan turned her head and saw that Xu Ke was indeed there.

Lei Hua was enraged. He shouted, "Security? Where’s security? Can’t you see this troublemaker got back in? Throw him out immediately! From now on, whoever lets him in, I’ll dock their pay for a month!"

Several security guards walked menacingly toward Xu Ke!
Xu Ke wasn’t flustered at all. He said in a deep voice, "Don’t do anything rash! I have an appointment with Governor Zhou! Aren’t you afraid he’ll blame you?"
The guards were taken aback. They stopped in their tracks and instinctively turned to look at Lei Hua for confirmation.
Of course, Lei Hua didn’t believe that Xu Ke had contacted Zhou Yadong. After all, Zhou Yadong hadn’t handled any bank affairs for over half a year!
Lei Hua said coldly, "Xu Ke, why don’t you just brag that you brought the City Lord here? Governor Zhou hasn’t been to the bank in half a year. Who the hell do you think you are? You think he’d come to the bank for you? What are you all standing around for? Throw him out!"

Just then, Zhou Yadong finally arrived at the ICBC.

The guards jumped. ’Governor Zhou is really here?’

Xu Ke’s spirits soared. "Young Master Lei, weren’t you just swearing up and down that I couldn’t possibly get Governor Zhou to come?"

Before he could finish his sentence, Lei Hua choked on his words!
Because Zhou Yadong shoved him aside, strode over to Xu Ke, and grabbed his hand with incredible warmth!
