Chapter 159: My Home Is in the Villa District
Cheng Yuan trembled with excitement. According to the records of the Celestial Witch Inheritance, during the primeval era, when Nuwa created humanity, it coincided with the great Witch Demon calamity, and the Celestial Dao was in chaos.
This led to humans being born with inherent deficiencies and frail bodies, forcing them to survive in the cracks between the Witch and Demon races.
Near the end of the Witch Demon calamity, humanity managed to seize some slivers of innate destiny, and people with Special Physiques began to appear.
Once these Special Physiques reached Great Success, their bearers possessed the power to contend with the Witch and Demon races!
’Could it be that I have one of those legendary Special Physiques?’
Otherwise, there was no way to explain how his fine Meridians could be so incredibly resilient!
This was equivalent to having no cultivation bottlenecks, no risk of cultivation deviation, and no matter how brutally he cultivated, he would never get injured!
Now that he had confirmed he possessed a Special Physique, Cheng Yuan no longer held back, abandoning his fear that overloading his cultivation would damage his internal organs.
Cheng Yuan increased the force of the assault!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Like a wild horse that had broken its reins, the energy rampaged through his internal organs, instantly clearing hundreds of fine Meridians!
Pain!
An excruciating, soul-tearing pain!
It felt as if tiny knives were slicing away inside his organs!
And yet, Cheng Yuan’s Meridians remained completely unharmed. His internal organs were perfectly intact, showing absolutely no signs of injury!
’Almost there!’
’I’m about to clear all the fine Meridians in my internal organs!’
Once all the fine Meridians were cleared, it would mean that Cheng Yuan had become a Quasi-Divine Realm Grandmaster, with one foot already across the threshold of a Divine Realm Grandmaster!
With the advantage his Cultivation Technique gave him, he could definitely take down an ordinary Divine Realm Grandmaster!
"BREAKTHROUGH!!"
Cheng Yuan let out a furious roar, launching an all-out assault on the fine Meridians within his heart!
This was the final set of fine Meridians within his five major organs!
HUMMM!!
Cheng Yuan’s whole body shuddered. It was as if all his organs had been unblocked at once. A feeling of extraordinary smoothness washed over him as the pain vanished instantly, replaced by immense comfort.
Originally, his True Qi had only circulated through the Ren and Du Meridians and his four limbs. Now, his internal organs had been added to the circuit!
His limbs had no effect on the True Qi; they merely served as channels for its circulation.
However, his five organs corresponded to Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. When his True Qi flowed through them, its power—amplified by the principles of generation and restriction among the Five Elements—increased severalfold!
Cheng Yuan couldn’t help but let out a long cry! The True Qi around his body pulsed faintly, exerting immense pressure on Shen Youchu!
Shen Youchu stopped her cultivation with a wry smile. "Brother, I thought my cultivation was about to catch up to yours, but you’ve suddenly pulled so far ahead. It’ll probably take me another half a month to catch up now."
Hearing Shen Youchu’s words, Cheng Yuan’s sense of superiority vanished instantly. ’Youchu is just too monstrous, isn’t she? She can reach the level of a Quasi-God in just half a month?’
’Meanwhile, it had taken me more than two whole years...’
’But that won’t happen again. Before, I was too conservative with my cultivation. From now on, I can go all out!’
Not wanting Shen Youchu to become arrogant, Cheng Yuan put on a slightly stern air and ruffled her hair. "In that case, you’ll have to work twice as hard. Otherwise, you’ll never catch up to your brother."
"Mhm, I’ll do my best!"
Shen Youchu blinked her large, misty eyes and looked at Cheng Yuan curiously. "Brother, how strong are you now?"
Having just become a Quasi-Divine Realm Grandmaster, Cheng Yuan was brimming with pent-up power and nowhere to vent it. He glanced around and noticed an oddly shaped rock in the small courtyard.
The rock, which weighed a full five tons, served as a decorative piece for the courtyard. Cheng Yuan didn’t give it a second thought and abruptly raised his palm to strike!
His True Essence circulated through his five organs, imbued with the Five Elements Attribute. Its power, amplified several times over, slammed heavily into the large rock!
With a deafening BOOM!!
The large rock shattered, reduced to nothing but rubble!
This scene left Shen Youchu completely stunned.
"Brother, that’s incredible! This is super-durable granite! If that were a person, wouldn’t you have blown them to smithereens? You must be a top-tier expert now, right?"
Cheng Yuan grinned. "In Luocheng, I suppose I could be considered a top-tier expert. But in the context of all of Dongshan, let alone all of Jiangnan, my level is still nothing special."
Shen Youchu playfully stuck out her tongue. "If your strength is ’nothing special,’ then I’m practically a kindergartener. I really need to keep cultivating!"
As they spoke, Cheng Yuan’s phone rang. He pulled it out and saw it was his mom.
Cheng Yuan quickly answered. "Mom, what’s up?"
"You little brat, can’t I call you just to talk? You tell me, how many days has it been since you’ve been home?"
"Uh..." Cheng Yuan was at a loss for words.
"Hmph, you ungrateful little wolf, getting a girlfriend and forgetting all about your mother! Your sister has her provincial exam for the Math Olympiad tomorrow. You have to come home today to give her a proper send-off."
"No problem."
"Oh, right. You mentioned you adopted a little girl last time. Bring her home for me to meet, too."
"Okay."
Cheng Yuan hung up and looked at Shen Youchu with a smile. "Youchu, my mom wants to meet you. You’re coming home with me in a bit."
Shen Youchu nodded obediently. ’Brother Yuan is so kind,’ she thought. ’His mom should be easy to talk to, right?’
Cheng Yuan cleaned up the medicinal dregs that had accumulated over the past few days and called for a ride-share.
"Driver, to Long Lake District, please."
The ride-share driver was quite chatty. He asked with a smile, "Young man, is that Chinese medicine you’re carrying? What are you two heading to Long Lake District for? Visiting a patient?"
"I live there."
The driver was taken aback and instinctively turned to glance at Cheng Yuan in the passenger seat.
Long Lake District was one of the most high-end communities in Luocheng; the cheapest large apartments there started at five million. ’And this kid, dressed head to toe in cheap street-stall clothes, dares to brag that he lives there?’
’His family probably just works there, right?’
Skeptical, the driver drove the pair to Long Lake District.
The security guards at Long Lake District were very diligent. One raised a hand to stop the car. "Excuse me, non-residents are not permitted to enter Long Lake District. You’ll need a resident to call us and grant you access."
The driver looked at Cheng Yuan with a smug grin. "Hey, handsome, didn’t you say you live here? Why don’t you have a word with the guard? Or maybe you can have your ’family’ give him a call?"
With that, the driver crossed his arms, settling in to watch Cheng Yuan make a fool of himself.
Cheng Yuan smiled faintly. "Alright, I’ll have a word with him."
As he spoke, Cheng Yuan rolled down the window to show his face.
The guards had long since memorized the face of Cheng Yuan, the owner of Villa Number One. Their expressions changed instantly, and they bowed respectfully, their faces breaking into smiles as bright as sunflowers.
"Mr. Cheng! Welcome back!"
Cheng Yuan gave a slight nod and rolled the window back up.
BEEP BEEP...
The guard raised the barrier gate and gestured for them to proceed.
The driver froze. ’I can’t believe it,’ he thought. ’This kid in cheap clothes is actually a homeowner in Long Lake District!’
’You really can’t judge a book by its cover!’
This wasn’t the driver’s first time in Long Lake District, so he was familiar with the layout. He knew the east side was for large apartments, while the west side was the villa district.
Without asking for directions, the driver instinctively started to turn east.
Cheng Yuan quickly stopped him. "Driver, that’s the wrong way. It’s to the west."
The driver froze. "Young man, are you sure? The west side is the villa district!"
Cheng Yuan nodded slightly. "That’s right. My home is in the villa district."
The ride-share driver: "..."
