The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 9: Unblocking the Meridians

After the meal, Lin Ruoxi offered to help Wu Xiuli clear the table, but Wu Xiuli firmly refused.

"Ruoxi, it’s your first time visiting. How could I possibly let you do any work? Just sit and relax. As long as you had a good meal, your Auntie is happy."

Five minutes later, Wu Xiuli had cleared the table and washed the dishes.

"Old Cheng, you must be tired after driving all day. Let’s go get some rest."

Regardless of whether Cheng Hongbing was willing, Wu Xiuli forcibly dragged him into their bedroom to give her son and his girlfriend some private space.

Only Cheng Yuan and Lin Ruoxi were left in the living room, and the air suddenly fell quiet.

Lin Ruoxi had come home with Cheng Yuan purely out of gratitude for saving her life. It had been an impulsive decision, and she hadn’t really thought through the consequences.

And now, there was a problem.

The Chengs’ apartment was small—only about 70 square meters—with just two bedrooms.

So, what were the sleeping arrangements going to be?

’Share a bedroom with Cheng Yuan?’

Just the thought of it made Lin Ruoxi’s heart pound uncontrollably.

’What if he gives in to his primal urges? What could a defenseless woman like me do?’

Seeing Lin Ruoxi’s nervousness, Cheng Yuan smiled. "Ruoxi, don’t worry. I can sleep on the sofa in the living room."

Lin Ruoxi shook her head. "Won’t that blow our cover? Besides, we’re getting our marriage certificate tomorrow. We’ll have to share a room when we’re at my house, too. Let’s just call this a dry run. You sleep on the bed, and I’ll make a pallet on the floor."

"No, I’ll sleep on the floor."

They quickly reached an agreement.

Wu Xiuli had prepared new toiletries for them. After they both quickly washed up, Lin Ruoxi followed Cheng Yuan into his bedroom.

Cheng Yuan’s bedroom wasn’t large, but it was very tidy. The walls were covered with all sorts of awards and certificates, a clear sign that he had been a good student.

The bed was made with fresh sheets and a new quilt that smelled of sunshine.

"Ruoxi, don’t be shy. Have a seat."

Lin Ruoxi tried to calm her nerves and sat down gently on the bed.

It was a strange sensation. This wasn’t a high-end latex mattress but a rather firm coir one. It made a faint RUSTLING sound as she sat, and it had very little give.

Slightly curious, Lin Ruoxi pressed down on the coir mattress with her hand.

Lin Ruoxi was so beautiful. Just sitting there quietly, she was a sight to behold.

Cheng Yuan stared, momentarily mesmerized. Without him even realizing it, his Double Pupil activated—the outer ring of his iris dilated as the inner ring contracted.

Lin Ruoxi’s clothing became entirely transparent to his gaze.

Her flawless body was laid bare before him.

Lin Ruoxi’s figure was simply magnificent. Her delicate collarbones were like a work of art, and her slender waist was the very definition of perfect proportion—neither a fraction too large nor a fraction too small.

Her skin was as smooth and clear as the finest white jade, seeming to radiate a crystalline light.

Her breasts were full and proud.

Firm and pert.

Like two peach blossoms, painted with a delicate hand, just on the verge of blooming.

It was an overwhelming beauty.

Cheng Yuan’s gaze was so intense it felt invasive. Lin Ruoxi felt like a defenseless lamb, liable to be completely devoured by him at any moment.

Lin Ruoxi instinctively clutched her collar. "Cheng Yuan, you... you’d better not try anything!"

Only then did Cheng Yuan realize that his Double Pupil had activated on its own.

’It’s not that I’m a lecher,’ he thought. ’It’s just that her beauty is so captivating it’s making me lose my senses.’

Cheng Yuan quickly deactivated his Double Pupil, his eyes returning to normal. He then began circulating the Celestial Witch Heart Method, trying to calm his surging blood.

"Miss Lin, you are the most captivating woman I have ever met."

With that, Cheng Yuan averted his gaze and looked around, searching for a spot to make his bed on the floor.

He quickly chose a spot. He had never made a pallet on the floor before, but that didn’t matter. He just needed to make it thick enough.

Cheng Yuan opened the wardrobe, pulled out several thick quilts, and spread them on the clean floor. He added a pillow, lay down, and was ready to sleep.

Two years. He was finally back in his familiar little room. Even sleeping on the floor felt incredibly comforting to him.

Cheng Yuan quickly drifted off to sleep.

Listening to the sound of Cheng Yuan’s steady breathing, Lin Ruoxi was filled with a mix of emotions.

She was relieved, but also a little bit peeved.

She was relieved that he hadn’t tried anything; she hadn’t been wrong about his character.

’But she was also peeved that he could fall asleep so soundly. Was she, a great beauty, just a piece of furniture to him?’

’Did he find her completely unattractive?’

After silently cursing him for a good while, Lin Ruoxi had no choice but to lie down and try to sleep.

Suddenly, she felt something wasn’t right. There seemed to be lumpy objects under the sheet, making it uncomfortable.

Lin Ruoxi sat up and felt under the sheet. She pulled out a handful of red dates, peanuts, and longans.

Lin Ruoxi gave a wry smile. ’Aunt Zhou must be desperate for a grandchild. She’s clearly hoping for us to get pregnant before the wedding!’

’Too bad she and Cheng Yuan are only getting fake-married. A baby is out of the question.’

Lin Ruoxi had thought the firm coir mattress would be difficult to sleep on, but as soon as she lay down, she felt drowsy. Strangely, the firmness felt secure.

After Lin Ruoxi fell asleep, Cheng Yuan slowly opened his eyes. He rose to his feet without a sound and looked down at her on the bed.

Once again, his "disobedient" Double Pupil activated.

The blankets and her clothes became transparent to his gaze.

’So perfect!’

Cheng Yuan felt that human language was inadequate to describe her beauty.

If he just reached out, he could touch that perfection.

But Cheng Yuan didn’t move. Instead, his brow furrowed.

Perhaps because of the stress from her family’s arranged marriage, Lin Ruoxi had been suppressing a lot of anger lately. Her Liver Meridian was somewhat blocked. If this continued, it would undoubtedly lead to health problems.

’As a "qualified" doctor, how could he possibly ignore a "patient" in need?’

Cheng Yuan reached out and took hold of her delicate foot.

It was soft and smooth to the touch.

As warm and fine as jade.

However, he certainly wasn’t trying to take advantage of her. He was locating the two Liver Meridians, methodically massaging 28 acupoints in sequence while infusing them with his True Qi.

Finally, he reached the terminus of the Liver Meridian—the Qimen Acupoint.

The Qimen Acupoint was located on the peak of her breast, approximately two millimeters below the nipple.

He pressed and kneaded.

A gentle twist.

Cheng Yuan’s technique was meticulous.

In the hazy state between sleep and wakefulness, Lin Ruoxi vaguely felt someone massaging her, clearing her Meridians.

’Am I dreaming?’

’Or...’

Lin Ruoxi struggled to open her eyes.

But as the blockage in her Liver Meridian was dispelled, a wave of comfort washed over her. Her consciousness grew heavier and heavier until she sank into a deep sleep.

Phew.

Cheng Yuan slowly finished his work. He subconsciously rubbed his fingers together; it seemed her faint, sweet scent still lingered on them.

At that moment, his gaze was perfectly clear, without a hint of emotion. When he was acting as a doctor, even the most beautiful patient was nothing more than a block of wood in his eyes.

BZZT! BZZT!

His phone vibrated. Cheng Yuan pulled it out and saw a new text message.

The message read: Target is alone, drinking at Fei’Er Bar.

The message was from a former patient of his in prison, a private detective who had been released six months earlier. The first thing Cheng Yuan had done upon his own release was to hire him to tail Jin Pengfei twenty-four-seven.

A vicious light glinted in Cheng Yuan’s eyes. ’Jin Pengfei, tonight you die!’

Expressionless, Cheng Yuan turned to look out the window.

The clouds were thick, and there was no moon.

A perfect night for a killing.

’Two years!’

’Those bastards have been living easy for two whole years!’

’It’s time for them to pay the price!’

’Tonight, the clarion call of my revenge will sound!’
