All the classmates were confused. Only Xu Ke and Cheng Yuan knew what was going on.

Tang Mingcheng and Bai Xuening completely misunderstood Lin Ruoxi’s intentions, assuming she had come over to toast them out of respect. Both of them flushed beet-red with excitement!

"President Lin, what brings you here?"

"For President Lin to come and toast us personally... you honor us too much! We’re truly not worthy of such a gesture!"
Lin Ruoxi smiled but didn’t reply.
Bai Xuening turned to her classmates, her face glowing with pride. "Everyone, let me make an introduction. This is President Lin, the general manager of Yuanxi Auction House. Yuanxi Auction House is the premier auction house in all of Luocheng. For their inaugural auction, not only did the leaders and wealthy businesspeople of Luocheng show up to lend their support, but even dignitaries from the Provincial City attended! But President Lin’s most incredible accomplishment was inviting the esteemed Zhang Zhigang to be their resident expert! Mr. Zhang Zhigang has never worked for a private, for-profit institution before—this was an absolute first! You might not believe this, but on that single, inaugural day, Yuanxi Auction House’s sales volume reached over three hundred million, with a commission of over thirty million! In their eyes, Lin Ruoxi was like a goddess from the heavens.
She was completely out of their league!
Spontaneously, the classmates began to voice their heartfelt praises.
"President Lin is just too beautiful. The creator must have played favorites with her—you can’t find a single flaw! Even as a woman, my heart is fluttering a little! I can’t imagine what kind of man could ever be worthy of marrying a goddess like her."

Lin Ruoxi grew a little embarrassed by all the praise, especially with Cheng Yuan watching her with an amused, teasing smile. And then there was Xu Ke, who was off to the side, wiggling his eyebrows and shooting her looks.
To his credit, Tang Mingcheng was perceptive enough to notice Lin Ruoxi’s slight embarrassment. He quickly held up his hands to motion for quiet, and the room gradually settled down.
Tang Mingcheng turned to the waiter and ordered imperiously, "President Lin doesn’t have a glass. Hurry up and pour her a drink."
"Right away!"
The waiter hurried to find a glass.
Lin Ruoxi smiled and waved her hand. "There’s no need to go to the trouble."
With that, Lin Ruoxi walked elegantly over to Cheng Yuan, picked up his glass, and looked around at everyone. "Classmates, I came to offer a toast. I’ll drink it all; the rest of you can drink as you please."
Then, without the slightest hesitation about it being Cheng Yuan’s used glass, she tilted her head back and drained it in one gulp.
Xu Ke’s face flushed with excitement. He gave Lin Ruoxi a heartfelt thumbs-up. ’His sister-in-law is incredible!’
Aside from Cheng Yuan and Xu Ke, every other classmate was stunned. They stared blankly at Lin Ruoxi, speechless.
’What in the world is going on?’
Of everyone present, the most dumbfounded were, without a doubt, Tang Mingcheng and Bai Xuening.
’In their minds, Lin Ruoxi had come to toast them out of respect. So why on earth would she use Cheng Yuan’s glass??’
Bai Xuening asked subconsciously, "President Lin, what are you...?"
Lin Ruoxi put down the glass with a gentle smile. She and Cheng Yuan exchanged a look, and then she turned back and said gracefully, "Miss Bai, I’m here to offer a toast as a member of his family."
An uproar erupted!
The entire Champion Scholar Pavilion instantly descended into chaos!
All the classmates were stunned!
They broke into frantic whispers!
All of them were utterly shocked by this bombshell revelation!
Instantly, all eyes darted from Cheng Yuan, to Lin Ruoxi, and then to Bai Xuening.
Their shock was beyond words!
’F-family?’
Bai Xuening was completely stupefied!
Lin Ruoxi was a goddess from the highest heavens; in terms of looks, ability, or family background, she was a being completely beyond Bai Xuening’s reach!
Yet Cheng Yuan, in her eyes, was nothing but social vermin, an ex-convict!
How could two such people have any connection?
How could Lin Ruoxi be a member of Cheng Yuan’s family?
There was no way Bai Xuening could accept this reality!
"P-President Lin, you must be joking, right?"
Lin Ruoxi’s tone became very serious. "How could I possibly joke about something like this? We’ve already registered our marriage. We are a legally married couple."

This was a blatant, public humiliation!
Bai Xuening looked ready to explode with rage!
Her face turned a shade of puce.
But Bai Xuening didn’t dare to argue back. She couldn’t.
It was the truth. Compared to Lin Ruoxi, she was less than nothing.
Lin Ruoxi glanced curiously from Xu Ke to Bai Xuening, then asked with intrigue, "Xu Ke, what’s all this about?"
"Sister-in-law, you have no idea. Bai Xuening used to chase after Brother Yuan back in the day, but how could he possibly have been interested in her? So she’s held a grudge ever since. She brought her boyfriend to this reunion just to repeatedly, both openly and subtly, put Brother Yuan down. She said he has bad taste, that he doesn’t know how to cherish what’s good for him, and that he was a heartless jerk who let her down."
The smile on Lin Ruoxi’s face slowly froze. She looked at Bai Xuening, her gaze turning cold. "Is that right? My husband is a heartless jerk?"
