Outside Jiang Yue’e’s room, Yang He gently knocked on the door and called out, "Mrs. Jiang, it’s me." As soon as the words were spoken, the door was opened from the inside. Upon entering the room, Yang He’s attention was immediately drawn to Nanrong Wanqing lying on the floor. Seeing the large red swelling on her forehead gave him quite a scare.

"Mrs. Jiang, what happened to Wanqing?" Yang He asked.

Jiang Yue’e replied, "She accidentally lost her balance and hit the corner of the desk." After a pause, she switched topics and asked, "Did you bring everything I asked you to prepare?"

Yang He nodded, walked over to Nanrong Wanqing, and reached out to touch her cheek. However, as soon as his fingers touched Wanqing’s skin, his expression changed abruptly, and he quickly withdrew his hand.

"Mrs. Jiang, Wanqing... what happened to her? Why is her body so rigid, could she be..."

"Don’t jump to conclusions," Jiang Yue’e said in a serious tone. "She’s fine. I gave her some medicine that can temporarily preserve her life. However, it has some side effects, so she must receive treatment as soon as possible."

"Alright, let’s take her to the hospital immediately."

Jiang Yue’e shook her head and said, "We can’t go to the hospital. Even if we did, it wouldn’t help; her injury isn’t something those mediocre doctors can cure. Enough talk, call in your people to help me move Wanqing out."

Yang He agreed and quickly called in his two subordinates. They brought out the previously prepared items, spread them on the floor, and gently lifted Nanrong Wanqing’s delicate body onto a black circular cloth.

After wrapping Wanqing’s body securely, the two men in suits carried her, following behind Yang He and Jiang Yue’e, and proceeded straight out. Upon leaving the villa, Jiang Yue’e instructed Yang He to find a place to hide, while she headed to where Nanrong Yong lived.

"Liu Kun, come with me for a moment, I have something to discuss with you."

Seeing Jiang Yue’e lead Liu Kun away, Yang He immediately called on his men to transport Nanrong Wanqing out of the Nanrong Family, hiding her in his car. After waiting a few minutes, Jiang Yue’e came out of the house and got into the Rolls-Royce.

"Let’s go."

As the car started, the convoy quickly left Wealthy Manor and hit the road. Sitting in the back seat, Yang He glanced at the expressionless Jiang Yue’e and asked, "Mrs. Jiang, where are we taking Wanqing for treatment?"

Upon hearing this, a trace of hesitation flickered in Jiang Yue’e’s eyes. After a while, she pointed to the roadside and said, "Stop the car, I need to make a call first."

Getting out of the car, Jiang Yue’e took out her mobile phone and expertly dialed a series of numbers. Staring at this number etched in her memory, her gaze flickered with a hint of complexity. After a moment, she seemed to make a decision and finally dialed the number.

A few minutes later, Jiang Yue’e exhaled a long breath, then turned back to the car and motioned for the driver to continue driving.

"To Jin Hai City."

"Jin Hai City?" Yang He was slightly taken aback. He certainly knew Jin Hai City, but it was hundreds of kilometers away from East Sea City, and driving there would take at least a few hours.

"Mrs. Jiang, we..." Yang He was about to speak, but Jiang Yue’e coldly interrupted, "Do you want to save Wanqing or not? If you want her to get better, then don’t ask so many questions." After a pause, realizing her tone was not very good, she tried to calm her voice and said apologetically, "I’m sorry, I’m not in a good mood, please don’t mind."

"Mrs. Jiang, please don’t say that. I understand how you feel. Something happened to Wanqing, and as her mother, you must be very anxious. Rest assured, I will do everything I can to help cure Wanqing."

"Thank you!" Jiang Yue’e said softly, "I know how much you care for Wanqing. Whether it’s ability or family background, you’re far superior to Ling Chen. It’s just a pity you met Wanqing later. If it had been earlier, Wanqing would surely have been yours."

"Mrs. Jiang, I..."

Jiang Yue’e waved her hand, cutting off Yang He, and continued, "Rest assured, you’re the one I favor. Wanqing was just momentarily blinded, but I believe she will change her mind. Just help me this time and ensure Wanqing receives treatment, and I can promise you that Wanqing will definitely fall for you, and not even her grandfather can stop it."

"Mrs. Jiang, when have I ever not trusted you?" With that, Yang He tapped the small window connecting the driver and the rear seat, instructing, "Head to Jin Hai City immediately."

After several hours of long-distance travel, the convoy finally arrived at Jin Hai City. By this time, it was already evening, and under Jiang Yue’e’s guidance, the convoy drove straight into the city center and stopped by a street.

Upon getting out of the car, several men came from the roadside and directly carried Nanrong Wanqing, wrapped in black cloth, out of the vehicle. Seeing them take Wanqing away, Yang He hurriedly followed after them but Jiang Yue’e, who was in front, suddenly turned around and said to Yang He, "You don’t need to come along, go find a hotel and rest for a while. I’ll contact you later."

"But..."

"Trust me, Wanqing will be fine. In just a few days, you’ll see a lively Wanqing again." With that, Jiang Yue’e left without looking back, following those men.

Yang He hesitated for a moment, then ultimately gave up trying to follow. Since Jiang Yue’e confidently assured that Wanqing would be alright, he had no choice but to believe her.

Getting back into the car, Yang He said, "Let’s find a hotel to stay at."

"President Yang, aren’t we supposed to return the day after tomorrow? The itinerary is all set."

Yang He shook his head, "Postpone it for a few days, have someone at the company reschedule the meeting for later. Once I finish up here, I’ll go back."

"Understood, I will take care of it."

...

Meanwhile, Jiang Yue’e followed those men to a tea house. After entering, the owner immediately placed a closed sign on the door and locked up.

"Miss Jiang, the person you wish to see is upstairs, I’ll leave you to it."

Jiang Yue’e nodded and walked straight up the stairs. Outside a private room, she was about to knock when she heard a low voice from inside, "The door’s not locked, come in."

Recognizing that familiar voice, Jiang Yue’e couldn’t help but shiver. Then, feeling somewhat anxious, she pushed open the door and slowly walked in. The small private room had drawn curtains, dimly lit. In the corner near the window sat a person, his back facing Jiang Yue’e, and the poor lighting made it difficult to discern his features, only his slightly thin frame visible.
