The Being Who Existed Before the Omniverse

Chapter 8: The Omniversal Wanderer

Sponsored

One month passed after Vlox abandoned humanity.

When he finally returned, he stood silently above the clouds and gazed down upon the world below.

Civilization had begun to flourish.

Small cities stretched across the land like stars scattered upon the earth Smoke rose from blacksmith forges, while rivers flowed through channels carved by human hands. Roads connected settlements that had once been separated by fear, distance, and uncertainty.

Countless people moved beneath the warm golden sunlight.

Not surviving.

Living.

Vlox observed the world in silence.

Humanity was progressing far faster than he had anticipated.

Children laughed freely in open streets.

Farmers worked fertile fields without fear.

Warriors trained not because they needed to survive, but because they sought discipline and strength.

For the first time in history, mankind no longer resembled prey.

Yet Vlox felt nothing.

"They are still incomplete," he murmured quietly.

His silver eyes swept across the growing kingdoms without much interest.

"This world no longer entertains me."

Then-

Space shattered around him.

The sky fractured like broken glass as the Omniversal God stepped beyond reality itself and vanished into the endless void.

Thus began Vlox’s journey across the Omniverse.

Countless universes drifted through the infinite darkness like glowing fragments of existence.

Some worlds burned beneath endless wars.

Others prospered through technologies beyond imagination.

Some were ruled by gods.

Others by monsters.

And in every universe-

Life struggled endlessly against suffering.

The World of Curses

The first universe that captured Vlox’s attention was a world overflowing with cursed energy.

The atmosphere itself felt corrupted.

Hatred saturated the air so deeply that even the sky seemed poisoned by despair.

Cities burned beneath crimson clouds.

Mountains had been torn apart.

Corpses littered the land like fallen leaves after a storm.

Then Vlox saw them.

Two figures stood amidst the ruins of a shattered city.

One possessed snow-white hair and wore a blindfold over his eyes Space itself subtly distorted around him as limitless energy flowed through his body.

The other was far more terrifying.

Black markings spread across his flesh like living curses, while overwhelming malice radiated from his very existence.

Vlox observed silently.

"How interesting..."

His gaze remained fixed upon the battlefield below.

"One represents the strongest of the past."

"And the other..."

A faint ripple spread through reality.

"...the strongest of the present."

Then the battle began.

The white-haired sorcerer manipulated space effortlessly.

Entire city blocks collapsed beneath the pressure of his techniques while the battlefield twisted unnaturally around him.

Yet the King of Curses adapted continuously.

Every attack.

Every movement.

Every strategy.

He evolved in real time like a monster born solely for destruction.

The battle escalated beyond reason.

Shockwaves ripped across the ruined world.

Mountains crumbled.

Even the heavens trembled beneath their power.

For a brief moment-

Victory seemed possible.

The white-haired sorcerer pushed the King of Curses further than anyone before him.

But eventually-

The curse evolved once again.

Using an adaptive entity capable of transcending limitations, he learned how to sever space itself.

The impossible happened.

The untouchable became vulnerable.

And then-

The strongest sorcerer fell.

Even so, his death accomplished one final thing.

He forced the King of Curses to reveal the depths of his true power.

Later, after countless sacrifices and unimaginable bloodshed, the remaining sorcerers united against the cursed king.

The battle consumed nearly everything.

But eventually-

The age of fear came to an end.

Victory arrived atop a mountain of corpses.

Vlox gazed silently upon the devastated battlefield.

"So even the strongest eventually fall..."

Without another word, he left that universe.

The Purple Titan

The next world was vastly different.

There, humanity possessed extraordinary abilities.

Some beings could fly between planets.

Others controlled lightning, gravity, or cosmic energy itself.

Entire civilizations stretched across galaxies.

And amidst all the chaos stood a massive purple titan.

His presence radiated absolute conviction.

Vlox watched silently as armies fought desperately against him.

The titan sought to erase half of all life in the universe so that the remaining half could prosper without starvation, overpopulation, or conflict.

To Vlox-

The logic seemed flawless.

"If half vanish," Vlox said calmly, "the survivors will suffer less."

His silver eyes reflected the war unfolding below.

"Why do they resist him?"

But Vlox still failed to understand humanity.

Humans did not fight through logic alone.

They fought for memories.

For love.

For family.

For the belief that every life possessed value.

Eventually, the titan succeeded.

Using six cosmic artifacts capable of reshaping reality itself, he erased half of all living beings with a single motion.

Silence consumed the universe.

Entire planets became empty overnight.

Countless lives disappeared instantly.

Yet years later-

The survivors rose again.

Heroes broken by grief reunited to undo the catastrophe.

Through sacrifice, unity, and impossible determination, they reclaimed the cosmic artifacts and challenged the titan one final time.

Then came the final battle.

Worlds trembled beneath the clash.

And at the very end-

One man made a choice.

Clad in iron armor, the human seized the power of the artifacts for himself and erased the titan along with his entire army.

But the power destroyed him in return.

Humanity survived because one man willingly sacrificed his own life for countless others.

Vlox watched the warrior’s final breath in silence.

"How strange..."

For the first time in existence, genuine confusion surfaced within his thoughts.

"Humans sacrifice themselves even when there is no personal gain."

The Weak World

For the next five hundred years, Vlox wandered endlessly through existence.

He witnessed worlds ruled by machines.

Worlds where stars possessed consciousness.

Worlds consumed by eternal war.

Worlds where gods walked openly among mortals.

Yet eventually-

Even miracles became repetitive.

Until one day, Vlox arrived within a universe unlike any he had ever seen.

No gods.

No immortals.

No supernatural powers.

Only ordinary humans.

At first, he considered the world unbearably weak.

But eventually, curiosity overcame him.

"This may prove entertaining."

For the first time since his birth within the void, Vlox altered his appearance into that of an ordinary human.

Then he descended into the world below.

The city overflowed with life.

Bright lights illuminated crowded streets while endless noise echoed between towering buildings The scent of food drifted through the air in waves powerful enough to capture even Vlox’s attention.

Strangely-

He followed it.

Eventually, he entered a crowded restaurant filled with humans.

People laughed around him.

Cooks shouted from the kitchen.

Plates clattered endlessly while warm aromas filled the room.

Vlox sat quietly and ordered whatever caught his interest.

Fried potatoes.

Grilled meat.

Spiced curries.

Sweet drinks.

Endless dishes from countless cultures.

Hours passed.

The Omniversal God simply ate.

And to his own surprise-

He enjoyed it.

"This world is weak," Vlox admitted quietly, "but their food is extraordinary."

For the first time in centuries-

He felt peaceful.

Then a waiter approached and placed a small paper on the table.

"Sir, your bill."

Vlox stared at the paper silently.

"What is this?"

The waiter blinked.

"...Your payment?"

"How does one perform this exchange?"

The confused waiter eventually showed him several paper notes and metal coins.

Vlox studied them carefully.

A moment later-

Reality distorted invisibly.

Identical currency appeared within his hand.

"Here," Vlox said calmly.

The waiter hesitated before slowly accepting the money.

"...Thank you, sir."

After the human left, Vlox remained seated in silence.

So this world exchanged paper for survival.

Interesting.

Humans worked endlessly simply to eat, sleep, and protect the people they cared about.

Such fragile creatures.

Yet despite their weakness-

They continued moving forward.

Return of the Omniversal God

Eventually, Vlox returned to his own universe.

And for the first time in countless ages-

Even he was surprised.

Humanity had evolved far beyond his expectations.

Massive cities covered lands that had once been reduced to ruins.

Roads stretched across entire kingdoms.

Markets overflowed with life.

Farms spread endlessly beyond towering walls.

Advanced sewage systems carried waste beneath civilization, while blacksmiths forged weapons strong enough to rival those of ancient eras.

And at the center of humanity’s greatest kingdom stood a colossal castle built for King Ragnar Vael.

Children laughed openly in the streets.

Families lived without fear.

The people no longer looked terrified of survival.

They looked...

Happy.

Vlox floated silently above the kingdom while the wind moved gently through his silver hair.

Five hundred years had passed during his journey across the Omniverse.

But for humanity-

A new era had begun.

And for the first time since his birth within the endless void-

Vlox smiled faintly.
