Chapter 1359 - 1356: How Much More Friendly Do You Want to Be?
A different voice unexpectedly sounded beside the two.
"Oh, how much more affection do you want from my Ah Jun?!" Qiao Junlie’s sarcastic tone interjected.
Damn! Murong Jun couldn’t help but curse the sudden appearance of this person in his mind. After a moment of stunned silence, he maintained a natural smile.
"Qiao Junlie... haha, I just happened to run into Miss Zi, and I was escorting her upstairs. Don’t misunderstand me!" Murong Jun explained, setting aside any mischievous thoughts. Facing this guy, he needed to prepare himself fully. A single misstep could cost much more than just money.
"Oh, really? That’s quite the coincidence! You ran into her right after going out? Oh... is that so? Well, no matter what... we really should thank... Ah Jun! How about I see you off!" Qiao Junlie spoke slowly in a slippery tone, especially emphasizing the words "Ah Jun." How ironic! This old fox, so shameless!
Qiao Junlie let out a sinister smile. Zi Ruoxi had a blush on her cheeks, feeling slightly guilty, while Murong Jun appeared relaxed, like a devil-may-care playboy, seemingly fearless!
"Qiao Junlie, I..." Zi Ruoxi’s words were interrupted by Qiao Junlie.
"No need to explain. You go to my office and wait for me. Immediately!" Qiao Junlie replied impatiently, the last three words were almost a command. An irresistible command.
Zi Ruoxi felt uneasy but couldn’t argue at such a critical moment. She turned her face and slowly walked towards his office.
At this point, Qiao Junlie looked at Murong Jun across from him, suddenly smiling, then approached him.
"I say, Ah Jun, let me see you off!" Qiao Junlie’s smile was terribly fake.
"Uh... no need. You go ahead with your business..." Murong Jun replied slyly, already feeling a sense of caution.
"How can I allow that? You escort my wife to me; I must see you off." As Qiao Junlie spoke, he swept his arm around Murong Jun’s back, grabbed one side of his shoulder, and forcefully pulled him towards the elevator.
The elevator doors closed, going straight down to the first floor. Now, it was just them in the space again, but without the previous ambiguity, a strong tension hung in the air.
"I say ’Ah Jun’! Have I ever called you that? Why does it sound increasingly awkward?" Qiao Junlie’s doubtful voice carried a cold laugh as he tightened his hold around Murong Jun’s shoulder.
Damn!
A wave of pain hit Murong Jun’s heart, without thinking too much, he immediately launched a counterattack, turned around, embraced Qiao Junlie’s body, and with a burst of impulse slammed him against the steel wall. A muffled sound echoed, shaking the entire elevator.
This bastard!
Qiao Junlie felt a sharp pain in his back. He lifted his knee and struck Murong Jun’s abdomen. The latter let out a squeal, also taking a loss, but quickly reacted, gripping Qiao Junlie’s shoulders, pulling with force to separate him from the steel wall. The bodies retreated a few steps, then stopped abruptly, and with another fierce push, collided with the wall on the other side.
The space was too narrow, preventing Qiao Junlie from fully utilizing his Taekwondo skills, compounded by Murong Jun’s relentless close-contact fighting style, causing Qiao Junlie great difficulty. Being tossed around, his back throbbed in pain, almost breaking apart.
Murong Jun wasn’t faring much better either, with Qiao Junlie repeatedly kneeing his abdomen in an attempt to break free, but to no avail. The guy was like a tightly wound spring, pulling him back and forth.
The two fought so intensely, like two fierce beasts crashing back and forth, soon causing the elevator to hum loudly. Both were exhausted when, after Murong Jun’s final slam, Qiao Junlie’s body slid down the smooth steel wall, collapsing onto the ground. Murong Jun, still gasping for air, leaned on his shoulder, collapsing alongside him. Yet even then, Murong Jun refused to let go, eventually resting his head against Qiao Junlie’s shoulder, his body leaning into him.
"Murong Jun, you bastard..." Qiao Junlie cursed weakly, trying to pry the man off of him. He was nearly crushed to death, and now this punk added to the pressure. Damn it! This rascal!
The elevator seemed to co-operate with them, behaving as if it had gone mad. With a deafening thud, it suddenly plummeted straight down. Instinctively, they reacted... within two or three seconds, it caught itself. Sparks flew above them, crackling and sizzling, the sound of burning wires. In the next moment, the elevator’s lights went out.
Hell!
That was the first thought they both had.
But upon realizing the current situation, they weren’t sure who was holding whom. They had drawn close. Murong Jun enveloped Qiao Junlie in his arms; originally, he had leaned on Qiao Junlie’s shoulder, now Qiao Junlie was shielded in his embrace, like a mother hen protecting her chick...
Damn!
Qiao Junlie pushed him away forcefully.
But then heard chaotic murmurs.
"...Qiao Junlie, you... are you okay! If you die... I’ll... feel guilty for a lifetime! If Yama wants someone... take me! After all... I’ve enjoyed life enough!" Clearly, it was Murong Jun’s voice. Yet it sounded no better than his! Weak and soft!
Damn it! Could this guy...
Qiao Junlie felt a wave of shock...

"Ah Jun! Ah Jun?!" Qiao Junlie called out twice, but received no response, startled, he quickly bent down to take a closer look.
Amidst the total darkness, relying on intuition, he didn’t push him too far earlier, allowing Qiao Junlie to find him accurately. As he reached Murong’s side, held Murong Jun’s body, a sudden mutual force caused Qiao Junlie to lose balance, falling forward...
Damn it!
Qiao Junlie’s mind felt like it was splitting open, but the person on him clung like an octopus, locking onto his body.
And as Murong Jun indulged in chaotic whims, Qiao Junlie fiercely grabbed his long hair, forcefully pulling.
"Ouch!" Murong Jun let out a miserable scream, raised his head, breaking away from Qiao Junlie. Then "smack! smack!" came two slaps on the face, shattering the somewhat frozen atmosphere. Murong Jun’s face stung, attempting to shrink back, but Qiao Junlie caught his chin. More precisely, Qiao Junlie grabbed the hair on Murong Jun’s head, forcing him to look up, accompanying the ruthless squeeze of his jaw.
