Chapter 148 The Submission of the Dothraki Cavalry

Lucas commanded the prairie riders in fluent Dothraki.

"Go."

The riders trembled, looking up in disbelief.

He could speak their language?

"Go and submit to the girl named Daenerys Targaryen," Lucas said calmly. "She is the Khaleesi chosen by your Khal. She is my follower, and because your Khal did not respect her god today, he has met this fate!"

"Submit, and you shall live."

As his voice faded, Lucas’s figure vanished into thin air.

The remaining Dothraki riders knelt in the pool of blood, dazed.

...

Illyrio’s mansion.

Daenerys Targaryen sat alone by the window, her face full of sorrow.

Khal Drogo had already arrived.

Before long, she would be treated like a piece of cargo and married off to that savage prairie warlord.

And the god she worshipped had not appeared.

Just as Daenerys Targaryen was feeling dejected, she caught a glimpse of a figure in the mirror of her vanity table, standing quietly behind her.

"Who is it!!"

Daenerys Targaryen exclaimed, turning around abruptly.

Lucas was still wearing his cloak, playing the part of a mystic.

"You will possess an army of thousands," Lucas said, ignoring her panic. "Next, let this army spread my miracles."

"On the grasslands, on the lands of those slave owners, in the city-states of the free folk..."

"Faith! It will bring you everything you desire!"

Lucas’s voice carried a bewitching power.

"And you shall become my agent, enjoying supreme glory."

Daenerys Targaryen looked confused.

"But..." she hesitated, "you promised me an army? But I am to be married off to Khal Drogo tomorrow!"

"You will understand!"

"Before that, I will stay here for a while."

After these words, Lucas’s figure faded away again.

...

The next day.

The Dothraki army returned as expected.

This time, they were not here to welcome the Khaleesi.

Thousands of surviving prairie riders knelt in unison before the entrance of Illyrio’s mansion, their foreheads pressed deep against the ground in a posture of extreme humility and piety.

Illyrio rushed over upon hearing the news, looking utterly bewildered.

What... what was going on?

Where was Khal Drogo?

How could these proud and arrogant prairie people treat them with such a posture?

Viserys, however, misunderstood the situation.

He walked forward triumphantly, spreading his arms.

"They are submitting to the wrath of the Dragon!"

Viserys laughed. "Rise, my loyal servants! Rise!"

No one at the scene responded.

They did not even lift their heads.

In this awkward atmosphere, Daenerys Targaryen and Lucas walked out of the mansion one after the other.

"Now, you may accept the god’s gift!"

Daenerys Targaryen took a deep breath, gathered her courage, and walked toward her army.

"Dany! Get back!"

Seeing this, Viserys immediately scolded her sharply. "This is my army! It is not for a cheap girl like you to show off here!"

In the past, Daenerys Targaryen would have certainly shrunk her shoulders and retreated to the side like a frightened rabbit.

Her brother’s majesty always made her terrified.

But this time, she subconsciously turned back and glanced at Lucas.

She stood up straight and said loudly to the group of riders.

"Rise!"

The Dothraki riders slowly raised their heads, but their faces were filled with nothing but terror, especially when they saw the cloaked figure behind Daenerys Targaryen... that fear, etched into their very bones, made them remain kneeling.

Daenerys Targaryen was a bit at a loss and looked back at Lucas.

"They... they aren’t listening to me."

"That is because of the language barrier," Lucas said in pure Dothraki. "Asa faan, safan ke! It means... all of you, rise!"

Daenerys Targaryen mimicked the unfamiliar pronunciation, reciting it word by word.

"Asa faan, safan ke!"

Hearing their familiar mother tongue, the Dothraki riders trembled again. They looked up at Lucas, whose hood moved slightly as if in agreement.

Only then did they stand up.

It worked!

For the first time, an unbelievable brilliance erupted in Daenerys Targaryen’s violet eyes.

She truly possessed an army!

One that belonged only to her!

"Daenerys Targaryen! What the hell are you doing!"

Viserys rushed over in a rage, grabbed Daenerys Targaryen by the arm, and even tried to twist his sister’s arm.

"And what is that thing wearing rags? How dare you defy me! Defy your King!"

Daenerys Targaryen turned her head, her eyes complex and distant.

"Viserys! You should submit to our god!"

"The one chosen by the god is me! Not you!"

"You are not the true dragon!"

Her voice grew increasingly firm.

"I am the true dragon!"

Daenerys Targaryen had completely surrendered.

Such a fierce prairie army had actually submitted at her feet; in the entire Westeros continent, whose god would respond to a believer’s wish like this?

"You damn little bitch!"

Viserys was completely enraged.

He raised his hand, intending to slap Daenerys Targaryen hard.

But just as his hand was raised, it slammed heavily against a transparent barrier.

No matter how much strength he used, his hand remained inches away from Daenerys Targaryen’s cheek, unable to advance a single inch further.

"What... what is this!"

Viserys widened his eyes in horror.

Lucas didn’t even look at him, just waved his hand casually.

An invisible force instantly sent Viserys flying, crashing into a distant pillar.

Viserys was already out of shape, and this impact nearly knocked him unconscious.

Lucas did not kill him.

Viserys’s life had to be saved for Daenerys Targaryen.

If the Dragon family didn’t kill their own, what kind of Dragon family would they be?

Daenerys Targaryen was still too immature at this moment, far from the Mother of Dragons she would become, but Lucas had extra education for her; in the original work, the Dragon Mother had almost no political acumen.

Compared to Cersei Lannister, she was no different from a naive fool.

Of course, Cersei Lannister wasn’t much smarter either.

Illyrio made the wisest choice almost immediately.

His fat body actually knelt down directly.

"Illyrio Mopatis, willing to pledge allegiance to the Khaleesi of the Dothraki!"

This shrewd merchant abandoned Viserys in an instant.

Daenerys Targaryen, however, shook her head slowly. "Not the Khaleesi of the Dothraki, but a follower of the god!"

"I am willing to offer everything I have to my god!"

Lucas stood quietly in the shadows, wearing his cloak.

Faith began to spread.

The power of the world was being shaken, and Lucas clenched his fist.

He was about to possess his first small world!
