King Robert Baratheon gripped his warhammer tightly, while beside him, Ned Stark rested his hand on his greatsword, Ice; both men were utterly stunned.
"Ned..."
King Robert Baratheon stared fixedly at the three dragons, his voice trembling, "By the Seven! I told you long ago that if the Targaryen remnants were not wiped out completely, they would inevitably return. You stubborn old fool!"
"Do you believe me now?"
Ned Stark did not answer; he looked at the figure atop the black dragon.
Catelyn Stark had written in her letter about a cloaked figure who called himself a god, cured Bran Stark, and then mysteriously vanished.
He believed in the old gods, but did not believe that a human could possess such power.
Perhaps it was just some charlatan playing god, or the maester’s diagnosis had been wrong!
But Catelyn Stark was convinced.
He had no choice but to comfort his wife, and fortunately, the mysterious figure had not appeared again in the three years that followed.
But now, the person had actually returned to the continent of Westeros with three dragons.
"King Robert Baratheon, that is not the power of the Targaryens!" Ned Stark said, his throat dry. "Catelyn Stark mentioned in her letter that it was an existence who claimed to be a god, who cured Bran Stark before mysteriously disappearing!"
Without Ned Stark needing to say it, King Robert Baratheon feared that person to the marrow of his bones.
Three years ago, he should have died.
It was that person who had intervened to save him.
He had sold his soul on the spot, and for the past three years, he had lived in constant fear, waiting for this god to return one day to collect the interest.
Even if the kingdom owed ten million gold dragons, he would have had a way to repay it.
But having incurred a debt to a devil, how could the other party let it go without demanding his life?
Screech!!
The black dragon, Drogon, roared at the sky, spewing a mouthful of scorching dragonfire that carved a red curtain of flame several kilometers long across the sky, like a spectacular meteor.
And that was just the beginning.
After being injected with Compound V, the three dragons not only accelerated their growth but also had their scales specially reinforced.
With magical creatures combined with technological power, their fire-storage capacity was stronger, and their physical defenses were indestructible; even dragon-hunting ballistae could not leave a single mark on their bodies.
These three dragons alone were enough to sweep across the entire continent of Westeros.
"I have come to collect my debt. The continent of Westeros is mine!" Lucas said, his hands behind his back, his cloak fluttering upwards.
"Impossible!"
Ned Stark mustered his courage.
"Very well, then I will take back Bran Stark’s legs!" Lucas did not negotiate; he vanished in an instant and returned just as quickly.
However, this time he was holding a boy, whose short hair was messy and whose small face had turned pale with fear.
It was none other than Bran Stark!
"Bran Stark!!"
Seeing his young son in the other’s grasp, Ned Stark was shocked.
How could this be?
Wasn’t Bran Stark in Winterfell? This place was at least a month’s journey from Winterfell, yet the other party had snatched him away in an instant!
"Stark army, do you submit? Or do you rebel!"
Lucas asked again.
He placed his hand on Bran Stark’s spine and gave a gentle push, as if the child were about to return to his wheelchair.
Oh!
This world didn’t even have wheelchairs yet!
Then he could just lie paralyzed in bed and drool!
"No! Please! Don’t!!"
Ned Stark suddenly went limp.
"Your faith is not firm! Ned Stark, I only cured Bran Stark because I considered Catelyn Stark’s deep maternal love, and all I want is for your North to submit!"
"You claim to be believers of the old gods, but in the end, when a god manifests before your eyes, it is only to satisfy the desires within your own hearts!"
"Tell me, is there any reason for the North to continue to exist?"
Lucas weighed Bran Stark in his hand and checked the child’s mind; there were traces of the Three-Eyed Raven’s divine power, but it was not yet too late.
"Put Bran Stark down, and everything can be discussed. I am willing to offer my faith!"
Ned Stark gripped Ice, his back still held straight.
"Oh god! I am also willing to fulfill my promise, please do not bring down divine punishment!"
King Robert Baratheon knelt on one knee.
"It is too late. It would be better for the continent of Westeros to be reshuffled. The Baratheons and the Starks once joined hands to bury the Targaryen dynasty, and I do not believe you are willing to stand with dragons!"
"Things that last too long... must eventually change!"
Lucas’s eyes were cold; he didn’t even spare a glance as he tossed Bran Stark back to Ned Stark.
He did not take back Bran Stark’s legs.
But those who break their promises must be punished!
"Attack the city."
With the command given.
The warships instantly tore through the defense line of Blackwater Bay, and the phalanx of Unsullied, clad in steel armor, moved like a wall of steel, so numerous that they seemed to tread upon the waves.
The dragons coordinated with the ground infantry to steamroll any faction; arrows fired at the dragons’ scales could not even leave a mark.
But with one breath from Drogon, the entire outer city defense line was melted into a river of magma.
The battle lasted less than an hour.
Daenerys Targaryen then brought Kulo and stood before the iron throne in King’s Landing.
Lucas, riding his dragon, had swept across all the major powers; Storm’s End, Highgarden, the North... he had conducted "friendly" negotiations with them all.
Among them, Stannis Baratheon resisted the most fiercely; he was blasted by a breath of dragonfire and promptly went to his reward.
Renly Baratheon and the rest of the Highgarden forces knelt so quickly and precisely that Lucas decided to spare them.
Catelyn Stark was a pitiful woman.
Because the people of the North were all stubborn, the key leadership core had to be wiped out together.
Otherwise, trouble would arise sooner or later.
"My god! The resistance of the old nobility has been completely purged!" Daenerys Targaryen turned and knelt piously before Lucas.
Daenerys Targaryen had now grown into adulthood and was becoming increasingly stunning.
But Lucas turned a blind eye to her alluring glances.
"Kill the House Lannister, the Baratheons, and all the old nobles who participated in the resistance. Replace them with someone obedient to guard the North. Oh, and remember to wipe out House Bolton; these people have too much of a rebellious streak!"
Lucas leaned against the iron throne.
This throne was forged from countless swords; those who sat on it had to do so at a specific angle, and any attempt to lean back or deviate would result in being cut by the iron blades.
Lucas didn’t care about that; he sat right down, and all the barbs were ground flat.
"This seat is uncomfortable. Let’s melt it down and forge a new one later."
He stood up and patted the iron throne.
"Yes, my god!" Daenerys Targaryen kowtowed fanatically.
In the following months, Westeros underwent an unprecedented The Great Purge; all old institutions were smashed, nobles were dragged before round-table tribunals to have their crimes accounted for, and the common people gained land and freedom.
However, with the collapse of the old era, the native gods of this world could finally no longer sit still.
The Wall collapsed overnight.
The White Walkers, carrying the faith of the Great Other, invaded the North, wanting to transform the North into an army of White Walkers.
Ice and snow began to invade.
Winter arrived, and the Long Night became the main theme of Westeros.
The Red Priestess, a follower of R’hllor, the Lord of Light, kept seeing fear in the fragments of visions. Before she could take any action, she was snatched away by Lucas through the air and dragged back to the castle in King’s Landing.
"You believe in a false god; I am the true god!"
The Red Priestess looked bewildered, "You... who are you?"
"I am the true god!"
The Red Priestess carefully sensed the magical fluctuations; she could only perceive that Lucas’s life aura was terrifying, but there was not a trace of the Lord of Light’s warm magic.
"An... an otherworldly demon!"
The Red Priestess seemed to have seen something, and she suddenly looked terrified.
Lucas looked helplessly at the lamps in the hall, "Look, you guys can’t play fair again! Since people believe in you bird-gods, you should at least give them a bit more power. If you can’t even grant eternal life, what kind of gods are you? You might as well go home and sell sweet potatoes!"
He directly used his Bio-field to cut off the hallucinatory communication between the Lord of Light and the Red Priestess.
The Red Priestess was terrified; she suddenly could no longer perceive her god, which was a terrifying thing for her.
"Take off your necklace!"
Lucas said, his hands behind his back.
The Red Priestess backed away continuously, looking as terrified as a little girl.
"Forget it, I’d better deal with those gods first. Mortals! They are just so troublesome!"
Lucas shook his head.
He had taken control of this world, and the followers of these alien gods would naturally receive new divine revelations.
Nagging is just too much effort.
