The Boys: Viltrumite Evolution Panel

Chapter 52: Let me play Homelander?

A-Train took the mission and ran off.

He turned into a blur, disappearing at the end of the hallway; his heart was like a candle in the wind.

Lucas gave Ashley two tasks.

The first task was to find a third-tier Supe named Blue Hawk; in the original story, A-Train’s heart failed, and he used Blue Hawk’s heart, which meant their hearts were compatible.

The second task was to find Becca and Ryan. This was known to only a very few people, and whether she could dig this information out of Madelyn was Lucas’s test for Ashley.

Catching Becca and Ryan would allow him to ruthlessly extract emotional points from Butcher and Homelander.

After arranging everything, his phone vibrated again.

This time, it was Starlight.

"Guardian, are you free now?"

Starlight had been busy filming and attending appointments for the past few days, and the two of them hadn’t had a thorough, intimate exchange in a while.

Lucas felt an itch he couldn’t scratch; after receiving the message, he hurried off to find Starlight without delay.

Thirty seconds later.

Lucas found Starlight at the film set in Long Island; she was clutching her script, chewing on it, and glancing at her phone from time to time.

"Annie, I’m fucking here!"

Lucas landed in front of Starlight.

"Guardian?" Annie thought Lucas was busy, so she hadn’t replied immediately.

She didn’t expect him to come find her directly.

When lovers meet, a raging fighting spirit ignites.

The two locked eyes, full of affection.

"Ahem!"

As a result, an untimely cough came from nearby.

"What the fuck are you coughing for?"

Lucas cursed first, then turned his head to find it was Maeve.

"Oh! Isn’t this Queen Maeve?"

Without waiting for Maeve to get angry, Lucas leaned his face in.

Maeve also had a script in her hand; she and Starlight were acting in the same movie.

In the movie, Maeve was the senior, and Starlight played a promising new Supe.

As for off-screen!

Annie’s current fan rating was high... her fan base was as high as 160 million, almost surpassing Homelander.

That was why Vought had tied Maeve to her.

"You two haven’t made it official yet, so be mindful of the impact." Maeve looked at Lucas, her gaze falling on the corner of his mouth.

This bastard, the last time she bit his lip, she almost broke her own teeth.

She didn’t expect that he wouldn’t even have a scar left.

"What’s there to be afraid of? Isn’t it more than enough for me, Guardian, to be with Starlight? Any female fan between 1.65m and 1.7m, wealthy and generous, with big wavy hair who dares to object, I’ll just pair up with her!"

Annie immediately punched him, holding almost nothing back.

As a result, her own fist hurt from the hit.

"Don’t say such inappropriate things in front of Maeve!"

Annie stole a glance at Maeve, only to see that Maeve was staring at Lucas with a very strange look in her eyes.

"Alright, let’s talk about why you called me here first?"

Lucas stopped joking.

Annie and Maeve took turns filling in the full picture of the matter.

Basically, the movie Starlight and Maeve were filming told a story about a parallel universe.

As a new Supe, Starlight encountered a crime committed by a Supe on her first day at work. The perpetrator had stolen technology capable of reversing time. During the fight, Starlight accidentally triggered the technology and was transported to a parallel universe.

It was a mirror universe where the image of The Seven was completely opposite to reality; there was no Homelander, only Queen Maeve and Wonder Man.

Wonder Man was the main villain of the movie, possessing Heat Vision, super-speed flight, super strength, super endurance, super defense, Super Speed Regeneration... he was essentially a carbon copy of Homelander.

Lucas was amused.

A major villain modeled after Homelander; this movie was getting interesting!

"But there was an accident. The actor playing Wonder Man is a Supe; he was chosen by the director because he could fly, but that guy got too high last night and overdosed."

Maeve crossed her arms over her chest, looking speechless.

She was originally going to ride on Starlight’s popularity, but now, the project team had run into repeated disasters, and investors were probably going to pull their funding in droves.

"So you mean you want me to cameo as Wonder Man?"

Annie nodded like a chicken pecking at rice.

"We’ve never worked together before... I have an independent trailer, you know, later..."

Maeve’s expression was unnatural; she pretended not to hear.

"No problem!"

Lucas agreed immediately.

As an actor, he wasn’t a professional!

But playing Homelander... he had to do it even if he had to bite the bullet!

"Director, Starlight and Maeve are calling you over."

Schneider was arguing with investors on the side; upon hearing that the two "living ancestors" were calling him, he rushed over without delay.

Then he saw...

Guardian!

The famous Guardian was standing right in front of him, looking fresh and vibrant.

Heat Vision — matched!

Super speed — matched!

Super defense — matched!

The only drawback... was that Guardian, like all you readers, was a bit too handsome.

But Schneider thought it was fine.

As a top director in the industry, he was known for his slow-motion shots and epic feel, and he was exceptionally good at filming Supe movies.

If it weren’t for WB being incompetent and constantly stuffing the project with nepotism hires, he should have finished this project the year before last.

"The... Guardian, are you here for something?"

Schneider hadn’t expected that Starlight had called him in; he thought Guardian had come to investigate that Supe.

After all, Guardian was an arbiter independent of The Seven.

He had an independent team responsible for judging criminal Supes.

That druggie idiot getting arrested was a small matter, but Guardian arresting someone was a big deal. If that got out, his career as a top director would be overshadowed.

He had just bought a yacht...

"Ahem!" Starlight coughed.

"Director Schneider, Guardian is a helper Maeve and I called in. Do you think he could make a guest appearance?"

Schneider was stunned.

"Who?"

"Guardian!"

"What is he here for?"

"A guest appearance!"

...

Three minutes later.

Lucas sat in the studio, with seven or eight staff members around him, massaging his legs, shoulders, and head respectively.

The director stood by himself, holding a hot towel and a cold towel.

One of the top ten screenwriters in the industry was giving Lucas a detailed introduction to the script’s background and character setting.

"Hey... you!"

Seeing Maeve wasn’t doing anything, Lucas said, "No need to bother the staff. Queen, go buy me two bottles of cola; one Pepsi, one Coke. I want to mix them and drink!"

Maeve pointed at herself.

Me?

I’m a veteran of The Seven!

You’re making me run errands for you?

Is there any justice left?

Is there any law?

"Room temperature or chilled?"

Forced by Lucas’s traffic and overbearing power, Maeve had to submit.

There was no other way; if Lucas joined, the movie would definitely have explosive results.

Because, up until now, Guardian had never participated in the filming of any major commercial blockbuster under Vought.

Just the news of him joining this film could cause Vought’s stock price to skyrocket.

"I still prefer how rebellious you were before; go back to that!"

Lucas deliberately rubbed the corner of his mouth, hinting at the spot that had been bitten before.

He hadn’t used any force back then, otherwise Maeve would have broken two of her front teeth.
