The Boys: Viltrumite Evolution Panel

Chapter 140 You must be the famous V, right?

Lucas landed once again.

This time, he was greeted by a foul-smelling mountain of trash.

The ground was littered with broken electronic components and rusted metal, along with synthetic food that smelled like garbage... All of these things were piled into small hills.

In the distance, neon lights flickered.

A massive city stood on the skyline, shrouded in toxic fog.

Large holographic advertisements, almost like giant light monsters of the city, enveloped the entire metropolis in a futuristic style.

"Good morning, Night City!"

"The final count for yesterday’s Dead Man’s Lottery is a solid seventy!"

"Thanks to the endless gang warfare! A big shot even died this time..."

...

That’s right.

Lucas recognized this place.

Night City.

He had been dumped into Cyberpunk 2077 this time.

It was still a low-martial arts world.

Just as he was looking around, he noticed a few gang members in the trash heap with their eyes wide open, along with that fat guy wearing a pair of flamboyant sunglasses.

Dexter DeShawn.

And at the man’s feet lay a body.

Lucas used his super vision to scan it, immediately seeing the condition of the body: a gunshot wound to the skull, weak vital signs, hanging by a thread, yet strangely, life had not completely faded.

A woman?

Even though the woman was covered in blood, the barely discernible outline still revealed that she was quite a beautiful girl.

A short-haired female V!

Interesting!

Lucas withdrew his gaze and looked back at DeShawn.

He picked up a stone and flicked it at the fat guy.

The stone was faster than a bullet, piercing directly through DeShawn’s forehead.

"Don’t think I don’t know what you’re up to. You’ve got a chip connected to your brain, right? Let me give you a little physical hack!"

DeShawn didn’t even have time to scream before he fell into the trash heap like a puppet with cut strings.

Some legends die earth-shatteringly.

Others die in silence.

DeShawn’s assistants scrambled into the car and slammed on the gas; they didn’t care if their boss died from Sandevistan speed or a hacker’s intrusion.

Run for their lives!

Lucas didn’t even move; a light blast from his Omega Beams caused the vehicle to explode on the road.

"Listen kid, NCPD is investigating, no survivors!"

After dealing with these eyesores, Lucas walked back to the woman and observed her with great interest.

He discovered something interesting.

System’s random transmigrations had no pattern to them.

Sometimes he was dumped into worlds with advanced technology but low martial arts power, and other times he ended up in worlds of high-level gods. Since he was going to launch a Great Crusade...

He might as well start with the low-level worlds.

Even System wouldn’t make him fight God right off the bat!

Lucas rubbed his chin.

Just as he was calculating, the woman’s body suddenly twitched violently.

The Relic chip in her skull finally began to emit a faint blue light.

A personality data file was frantically invading along her nerves, beginning to resuscitate her dying body.

"Cough... cough, cough..."

The woman snapped her eyes open, gasping for air.

As if she had just crawled back from the gates of hell.

The first thing she saw after opening her eyes was Lucas, who was looking at her with a smile.

"...Who the hell are you?"

The woman propped herself up, looking wary.

Her voice was full of reckless hostility.

"Hey, girl, are you a Streetkid?" Lucas grinned.

"Streetkid my ass. Who are you? Where’s DeShawn?"

"As expected of the famous V, that mouth of yours is really foul."

"Whether my mouth is foul or not is none of your damn business." V stared at him warily. "I asked who you are and where DeShawn is. I have a score to settle with him!"

"Me?"

Lucas stood up slowly. "I’m a hero for fun. As for DeShawn, why don’t you take a look behind you?"

V turned around to look; DeShawn’s head had been split open, and he was drowned in the foul water of the trash heap like a dead pig.

The one who shot from behind had been shot himself!

"A hero?"

V realized what happened and suddenly scoffed. "In Night City, heroes are rarer than a prostitute’s virginity. You saved me, so your motives probably aren’t pure, right?"

Lucas raised an eyebrow, not annoyed.

That was just V’s temper. As for her character, it wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible either.

The two of them went back and forth, probing each other.

V was a smart person; she quickly realized that although this guy in front of her had an unknown origin, he had no malice toward her.

"Alright, enough yapping. You look more like a clucking chicken covered in shit than I do. Find somewhere to wash up!" Lucas waved his hand in disgust.

Before he finished speaking, he grabbed V.

V felt the scene before her eyes suddenly twisting crazily. By the time she regained her senses, she was already standing by a vast lake.

Lucas flicked his wrist and tossed her directly into the lake.

"Splash!"

V fell into the water, choked on a mouthful, and surfaced in a disheveled state.

"Wait, where the hell is this?"

In that instant, the other party had brought her here?

What kind of speed was this!

Was it the world’s top-tier Sandevistan?

"Cough, cough... What the hell are you?" V clung to the shore, looking at Lucas in disbelief.

Cyberpsychosis?

Doesn’t look like it!

But apart from cyberpsychosis, who could overclock their cyberware to this extent!

The other party looked perfectly flesh and blood, without even a trace of implants on his face.

Lucas stood on the bank with his arms crossed, looking down at her.

"Do you know Ciri?"

V shook her head blankly.

"Then you can’t understand my existence. Let’s talk about my demands. Since I saved you, you’d better listen obediently. Don’t ask questions, understand?"

Lucas crouched down and hooked V’s chin.

The female V had quite a delicate face.

She didn’t look like a Streetkid; she looked more like a Corpo V. She was quite pretty.

"Talk if you want to talk, but don’t touch me. Is that how your mother taught you to treat women?"

V shook her head away.

"Hey!"

"I think you’re asking for it, huh!"

"I dragged you out of that trash heap, not to let you yap your mouth off here. I don’t think you should be called the famous V anymore; you might as well call yourself Fujitsu Weiqi!"

What is Fujitsu Weiqi?

V was confused.

But in the future, when she obtained that weapon, she understood immediately that Lucas was calling her a stinking prick!

"Finally, it’s quiet."

V silently climbed onto the shore and, right in front of Lucas, took off her top, revealing her graceful figure.

She wrung the water out of her clothes and then looked at Lucas.

"You can say it now. If there’s a chip... forget it, I don’t like people stuffing things into my brain right now!"

V’s tone softened a lot.

"Alright. I’m not sure if I have enough time, otherwise I’d quite like to have a round with you."

Lucas looked the female V up and down; her figure was indeed quite nice.

"I don’t have much time either," V said.

"I’m recruiting some partners, V. Let me be blunt: do you want to become a living legend?"

V froze for a moment, and the glint in her eyes quickly faded.

A living legend?

In Night City, there are no living legends!

Jackie died!

All the legends she knew eventually died!

This city mostly worships the dead!
