Chapter 150 Hatchling of the Young Dragon

Conquering Astapor was only the beginning.

Over the next half a year, Daenerys Targaryen led Khal Drogo’s Dothraki cavalry and the ever-growing army of Unsullied, sweeping across the entire Slaver’s Bay.

During this time, Mormont, as if responding to fate, joined the expanding army and even served as an attendant by Daenerys Targaryen’s side.

Mormont was truly pathetic; he had loved Daenerys Targaryen his entire life, yet Daenerys Targaryen would give herself to anyone but him!

Afterwards, Yunkai and Meereen fell one after another. All the Great Masters who resisted were skewered by Lucas and hung along the roads leading into the cities. The common folk were not afraid; on the contrary, they collected the fat dripping from the roasting corpses.

These Great Masters probably never imagined that after death, they would get to cosplay as Dong Zhuo from another timeline.

After slaughtering all the slave masters, the next step was to liberate the millions of slaves across the continent. Lucas did not establish a feudal monarchy for Daenerys Targaryen; instead, he set up a democratic republican system.

The Free Cities were already similar to the democratic republics of ancient Greece.

Therefore, it wasn’t too difficult to accept. Building on this foundation, he established a massive Round Table Tribunal, dragging all those once high-and-mighty nobles and remnants of the slave masters into the center of the court.

Countless liberated freedmen conducted public trials—an alternative version of "struggle sessions" against the wealthy and the wicked.

Every time a slave master fell, it was accompanied by thunderous cheers.

Through a series of political reforms such as land redistribution, the abolition of class, and the establishment of a civilian council, Lucas completely transformed the entire west coast of Essos into a new world.

However, behind the results of this fervent political transformation, there remained a hidden danger that kept people awake at night.

That was the dragon eggs.

Illyrio had gifted three fossilized dragon eggs. Her god told her that three dragons would hatch from them. Daenerys Targaryen carried the fossils in her arms all day, but no matter how she baked them in furnace fires or offered blood sacrifices, the shells remained deathly silent.

At the top of the Great Pyramid of Meereen.

Lucas sat cross-legged, one hand propping up his cheek, sipping chilled wheat juice.

"My god..." Daenerys Targaryen’s eyes were slightly red as she knelt before Lucas’s knees. "The dragon eggs... they haven’t shown any signs of life for nearly a year. Is the curse real? Can the Targaryens never awaken dragons again?"

Lucas frowned.

In the original story, the Mother of Dragons only managed to hatch the eggs through the fire of Khal Drogo’s funeral pyre and the burning of the blood witch.

Now that Khal Drogo was already two years old, the Red God R’hllor had likely seen through his intentions and had no intention of getting involved, deliberately withdrawing his magic and leaving the dragon eggs as dead husks.

"That won’t do. If the dragons don’t come to life, wasn’t this entire dungeon run a waste for me? There has to be some excitement! Besides, can the Mother of Dragons even be called the Mother of Dragons without dragons?"

Lucas communicated with the system in his mind: "System, is there any way to save these damn eggs?"

[System Prompt: Current ability level is insufficient to create magical life out of thin air! However, this world is a medium-magic world and contains native sources of magic. If you can find the purest source of fire magic, you can forcibly stimulate the revival of the dragon egg embryos.]

System usually only provided clues and was not responsible for teaching or training.

"The purest source of fire magic?"

Lucas paused slightly, then instinctively looked up. Through the window of the Great Pyramid, he looked toward the sun.

That’s right!

In this magical world, aren’t the light and heat of the sun themselves the greatest and purest source of fire magic?

"I have a plan!"

Lucas reached out and pulled the three dragon eggs directly into his arms.

"I’m going to hatch the dragons. You go chill a few more glasses of wheat juice!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Lucas shot into the sky, turning into a blinding stream of light and leaving a white vapor trail hundreds of kilometers long over Meereen.

Passing through the thick atmosphere, the surroundings instantly plunged into the deathly silence of the vacuum of space.

Lucas stood with his hands behind his back, the dragon eggs floating around his neck, as he sped toward the massive star.

He got closer and closer to the sun.

The surrounding temperature soared crazily from thousands of degrees to tens and hundreds of thousands of degrees. A terrifying ocean of plasma churned not far away, and solar prominences tens of thousands of kilometers long brushed past him like fire dragons.

"There’s something wrong with this sun!"

Lucas had undergone stellar body tempering and was extremely familiar with the sun, but this great sun before him contained incredibly powerful fire magic within.

He let in a little bit of sunlight, and the three dragon eggs immediately underwent a change.

Hum!!!

The originally cold and hard stone shells were instantly rendered a translucent crimson. In this world, the sun was absolutely the purest and most vast source of magic.

The lives that had been sleeping inside the dragon eggs for centuries were directly reignited.

Thump, thump-thump!

Lucas could hear the heartbeats of the dragonlings.

"Yo, it actually works." Lucas grinned and hovered directly on the surface of the sun.

He stood right in the middle of the churning flames, letting the fire magic energy form a storm that completely submerged the three dragon eggs. The scale patterns on the shells began to flow frantically, and the crimson light became exceptionally dazzling under the irradiation of the sun.

"How much energy can you absorb?" Lucas had originally thought the dragon eggs couldn’t withstand the high temperature.

But to his surprise, the life embryos inside the dragon eggs were crazily sucking in the magic.

"They’re about to hatch!"

After absorbing for half an hour.

A faint cracking sound came from inside the shells, and there were even faint, tender dragon cries.

Lucas raised an eyebrow: "Hmm, that should be enough!"

Lucas returned the way he came.

A few minutes later, accompanied by a thunderous boom, Lucas descended from the sky, landing as stylishly as Homelander on the top of the pyramid.

"Welcome, my god!"

Daenerys Targaryen was no longer surprised; she had seen the god use his great power countless times and was extremely devout about it.

Lucas’s body was still radiating the residual heat of the star. At his feet, the three dragon eggs had turned a bright lava color, their surfaces covered in dense cracks.

Like patterns of fire magic.

Crack, crack!

Crisp shattering sounds rang out.

With a bang!

The three dragon eggs hatched simultaneously!

Amidst the flying shell fragments, three dragonlings, each the size of a large dog and wreathed in flames, crawled out stumbling.

They had ferocious bone spurs, and their huge membrane wings, when spread, were several meters long. From the moment they were born, they carried a violent aura far exceeding that of ordinary dragons.

But the moment they opened their slit pupils and saw Lucas, these three magical creatures instinctively let out a whimper, pressing their heads tightly against the adamantine floor, shivering like little lambs.

In their perception, the man before them was not a human at all.

He was a god, a thousand times more terrifying than the sun.

"The black one is called Drogon, the green one is Rhaegal, and the white one is Viserys." Lucas named them casually and then looked at Daenerys Targaryen.

"Come up!"

Up? Come up where?

Daenerys Targaryen stood up, lifting her skirt, her little face flushed.

As it turned out, the three dragons, with uneasy minds, flew up and landed on Lucas’s arms.

Daenerys Targaryen couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed.

"Oh, I meant for the dragons to go up!"
