Vivian’s POV

The thing about being with Ryan Terrell was that it was so easy to forget how crazy rich he was. He never flaunted his wealth at all.

Thanks to him being such a down to earth person, she sometimes forgot that he had an unbelievable amount of money to his name.

As much as Vivian tried to keep reminding herself that he was a billionaire. It was easy to forget because instead of constantly travelling the world and wanting to stay in extravagant places. Ryan preferred staying in with her and helping her cook. He enjoyed being her official taste tester, and was even content to just come home and listen to her talk about her students, and all of the other normal everyday things that she did.

For a man with a great deal of wealth, he treated her normal everyday tales like they were the most interesting things he’d ever heard.

But then even with all of those normal things that Ryan enjoyed doing, there were moments that would occur and she would be reminded that she was actually with someone who was very rich. Proof that he was thee Ryan Terrell, was currently happening in that very moment.

In a bid not to embarrass herself Vivian was doing her best to not gape like a fish as she stared at all of the activity going on around her.

When Ryan had explained that he did not have a finger kink, that he had instead been trying to get her ring size so that he could get her the perfect ring, Vivian had been thrilled. She had thought that the whole thing was funny and more than a little cute.

Now though, she no longer thought that Ryan’s obsession with getting the perfect ring for her was funny or cute. Instead she was finding it to be rather shocking...

"When will you be able to pick out a ring of your liking?" That was the question that Ryan had asked her earlier that week. Vivian, not thinking too much of it had shrugged as she had told him that she would be available on Saturday.

In her mind she had thought that the two of them would make a date of it. Going to the jewelry store and then spending some time looking at rings until the perfect one popped out at her.

Clearly she and Ryan had not been thinking the same thing. Instead of them going to the jewelry store, the jewelry store had come to them.

Now Vivian could only stand and watch as a team of very efficient men and women set everything up. Display cases coming out one after the other, with jewelry carefully arranged in each one.

Staring at all of the sparkling pieces that probably cost enough money to buy an army, Vivian found herself feeling a bit lightheaded.

Ryan had actually brought the jewelry store to the penthouse. Even as she took everything in, Vivian still could not quite believe it.

How much did it even cost to do such a thing? The security...the attendants...the cases?!

She had never heard of anybody doing such a thing. Yet here was Ryan treating it like it was perfectly normal.

The man not even noticing that Vivian was struggling to keep her jaw off the floor.

"Did you seriously bring an entire jewelry store here!" She whispered into his ear making sure to keep a smile on her face so that the other people in the room would not realize that she was way out of her comfort zone.

Shaking his head Ryan chuckled lightly before he began speaking in a soft voice.

"Of course not, I only had them bring the rings. I knew that if I ordered the jewelry store here in its entirety you would be overwhelmed, so I asked for only the rings in consideration of you,"

He’d only had the rings brought over because he had been thinking of her.

Ha! of course...she was definitely not feeling overwhelmed thanks to him being so thoughtful.

It was perfectly normal for her to feel like she was floating above her own body.

She was perfectly chill, and not overwhelmed at all.

Hoping that if she repeated that in her mind, she would actually believe it, Vivian continued to smile. Standing close to Ryan and occasionally pinching herself as the setup finished.

Her attempt to hold it together barely helped, she was pretty certain that the attendants could tell how out of her depth she was. She was at least glad that they were too well mannered to mention it as she and Ryan were led to their seats. The first attendant moving forward to show them the rings that she was holding.

Browsing through display cases filled with exquisite rings had been very weird at first since she was doing it in the comfort of her own living room. But as the attendants had kept bringing ring after ring and telling her all of the qualities, Vivian had settled. Her focus moving away from the odd setting and being completely fixed on the exquisite craftsmanship that she was witnessing.

Each and every single one of the rings was gorgeous. She almost wanted to take them all.

Knowing that Ryan would not hesitate to fulfill such a request if she voiced it Vivian chose to keep that to herself. Silencing the part of her that wanted the entire collection, she kept looking until she finally came across a ring that made her breath catch.

The golden band had a red ruby instead of a diamond for a stone, which was something that she found drew her to the ring even more.

The moment that she tried it on Vivian instantly knew that the ring was it for her.

"This one, I want this one," She told Ryan and just like that she had an engagement ring.

When it came to wedding bands the two of them went with white platinum bands that glinted brightly when the light hit them. As his own personal touch, Ryan put in the request to have both of them engraved with a tiny rose on the inside.

Moved by the kind gesture all that Vivian could do was nod and smile softly as one of the attendants quickly sketched up exactly what Ryan wanted.

With their rings picked the jewelry store packed up and left them on their own, with Vivian’s hand now spotting a new addition a beautiful ring with a red ruby in the center of it.

"This is beautiful Ryan. Thank you," After a brief kiss, Ryan reached for her hand and dropped a kiss on the ring as well.

"After the way I fumbled popping the question, this was the least I could do,"

Holding up her hand, Vivian admired her ring some more before she turned back to him.

"Do not worry, even when Mark asks Amy to be his girlfriend and eventually proposes, I won’t be jealous no matter what. Your proposal will always be number one in my books,"

Ryan’s eyes suddenly went so wide she actually feared that they would bug out.

"Mark and Amy are into each other?!"
